By comparison, there are several Atelier and summery Tom Ford Acqua fragrances Ive liked that have worse performance. The scent is versatile - more for daytime wear but Ive worn this to formal occasions like summer weddings last year and it was well received - I received compliments from both women and men. I would easily give this is a try. Ive owned hundreds of frags - buy to try then attempt to narrow it down to a top 20. This makes my top 10 for warm weather - an easy recommend for someone that wants quality scent without the niche price.
I'm not one for layering fragrances, but I messed around and layered this on top of Guerlain Vetiver and it blended surprisingly well and pushed the performance

Hella people say longevity is poor and I thought it was at first too. I gave it a few wears and I have to say, recently it performed for most of the day. Sprayed it on at 6:15 am and got wafts of it all day up until I got home and took a shower which was about 4:10 pm. But ymmv. Scent itself is 9/10 to ME.
By the first time I got the fragance (in February) I was afraid about the performance but recently I weared it in a wedding during the day and it was a beautiful experience. I sprayed at 4:00 p. m. and it last almost to the midnight!!! And all over the wedding I could smell it when I moved. Late maceration seems to be a characteristic of the Gentleman collection. I saw that behavior in the EDT intense and the EDP Boisee. Rencently I bought the EDP so I know what to expect in the future.
For a soft classy fresh scent u cant expect a monster performance,however if u spray on your clothe,hair u can get decent 7 to 10hour longevity with 3 to 5 hour of arm length projection,solid for me for this type of scent,as scent itself is amazing,fresh&classy summer dressed up scent in my opinion..and its pretty much cheap..for a 40 to 50usd u can get 100ml

this frag reminds me of michael jackson in smooth criminal video clip , its ultra old manish or better very very, very very very , very past year (as someone could comment ),exactly like the mentioned video clip setting ( somewhere between 20's and 30s ) so vintage its actually is in fashion , definatelly stands out of the murk its going on latelly in frag fashion , that and the flanker of zadig n volter , the tottal opposites needs a crisp white shirt and overall a bright , well groumed outfit , definatelly not a streetwear style , wearing any kind of sneakers is just out of place it has a versace blue jeans vibe not similiar in the brake down but it gives you a similiar vibe
I used to look down on this fragrance as well and Mercedes Benz Cologne, just because I saw them as cheapies being sold to the masses at Walmart for $45 a bottle...Now both have become discontinued legends...Lesson learned.

To me this reminds me a lot of Dior Homme Cologne 2.0 and even the Bottle is styled similar. Personally I like DHC a lot because it is super simple but I guess if you wanted a half step more in complexity this does work. DHC, GGC are both similar BUT i just want to say if you want something maybe slightly similar but a little more complex (and a lot more expensive) Les Exclusif Chanel Boy. It doesn't smell similar but it does have a similar vibe and it's a lot more rich but a lot less airy and a lil more pillowy so you don't need to wear too much but it lasts way longer than both

Blind bought this and returned it after 4 days. I loved the citrus opening, but the dry down smelled like lemon meringue and to me it just felt nauseatingly sweet that it gave me headaches. Took it back and got Dior homme sport instead.

But like with the problem you are facing the performance is horrible and longevity even worse than what you claim as 4 to 5 hours. Maybe 1 or 2 for me. No, it's completely different than the other two. Only has some sweetness that Cologne hasn't. The new Gentlemen is a little bit stronger on the woods. Cologne is very delicate, all the mix is made with lightness: it opens citrusy, but without the pungent green summer fragrances, after you have a note of carrot leaves and iris and then the woods. It's a shame that this guy has bad performance, coz it's certainly one of the most delicious scents that I've ever seen. It's a champion on compliments. Really is. It's very elegant too. It's really amazing, believe me.
Really? Whites heavy on the pencil shavings type note, to me. Cedary kinda thing. I love Lalique. Does the Givenchy have that type of woodsy note with the citrusy/iris? Lalique White performance is decent on me, better than this one sounds, although I’ve yet to try it. On tester strips lasts for 2 days on my skin about 5-6hours one od the best frags for spring/summer
