I got the crocheted peg-leg pirate Turtle😸YEAH FOR TURTLES! I used to live in Manhattan, KS when my husband was in the military. They have lots of turtles there that like to cross the roads. I spent a lot of time rescuing them and carrying them to the other side of the road before they got hit. I’d find many turtles flipped on their back with their little legs flailing in the air. Made me so sad for the turtles I couldn’t help. That was 40 years ago, still makes me cry to this day remembering.
My mother and I owned an antique mall. We did not make money on the dealers rent. The rent was collected for overhead expenses only, not profit. Perhaps the Las Vegas heat took its toll on the budget. We made profit on goods we sold. When we raised the rent slightly many dealers pulled out at once and caused our business to fall because we were not able to fill spaces quickly enough. We could not meet the expenses in the slow season when garage sales are going. We tended to do well in the winter months but have a slow down in the spring. It was very hard to juggle all of the expenses.
Such a shame. I think people always think about the vendors and the rent they pay but the owners also have to be able to afford the building or everyone goes under. It's a delicate balance for sure.

They still are buying us big marshmallow plush and sometimes they like the little mini ones too!! One is 16 and the other one is 21! They are so funny!!

I have that exact light fixture. I had in my previous home for three years and loved it. We moved to a new home 6 months ago and the ceilings are lower and I didn’t think it was gonna work but I was pleasantly surprised that a was able to manipulate the branches and it works beautifully in my new home. Just thought I would let you know as I think you mentioned the same concern. It is going to look gorgeous in your home . The branch and leaves motif of the light goes so well with all your bird decor.😁So happy for you. Hopefully you can share how it looks once it’s in place😊

You don't see items made in Taiwan, much anymore. It's a shame as brass hardware for the home is generally of great quality. Handles for cabinets, window hanging hardware and other metal objects as well as porcelain are always good to come across.
You are the second picker within the week to spot one of those hanging flower pot lamps. They were made with a lamp kit and a flower pot from Walmart and those iridescent plastic beads. In the last couple of years in the 1980's you found them at every flea market or craft sale. My late hubs ex-wife and her mom just about broke him buying beads!!! LOL You did not pick that one up, but a young couple with a YT channel called Homeschooling Picker, did pick one up at a garage sale and were going on and on about it was "one of a kind" etc. Nope, they were abundant back in the day and sold for $10. I know....I bought one or two.

Well it happened to me last week at GW.I found 2 dolls and at check out, one had a sticker on her dress and one had no sticker! Both dolls were by the same maker. No they wouldn't sell it to me. Why would they put a sticker on a doll's dress??? I only got one.

Those are Myra’s handbags and they are pretty good wallets and bags . They use to sell them at another place I use to watch , it’s called Lilly and Bray
I would also have a hard time buying decorative pillows, unless they can be washed. You can’t dry clean them unless you take the stuffing out. Who knows who has been slobbering on them. Even though I told my kids no sleeping on them, they always did when I wasn’t watching. 😅
I like the red Dobermans. But I cant walk too good so my feral cats will do anywhere from 4-10 depending. Yes they are all fixed. I do love that leaves lamp. I think Zi would spray paint them in autumn colors. When are you doing the turtle selling show? I hate greed from companies & corperations
We are suppose help Gods creatures. My neighbor moved & he handed me his food plus a lent to so the food would remain dry plus his water pail. I finally got this 1 cat black n white who was so scared of me he now let me pet him a little. Hey I’ll take that I make sure I shake tge container as loud as I can do I can get anywhere from 4 or up to 10 .
