I for one, would really hope to see a Devil Kings Remake game where Nobunaga becomes the main villain once again and include all Sengoku Basara characters in it. Then bring back Nouhime and Ranmaru in order to have some dream matches between Magoichi and Nouhime & Tsuruhime and Ranmaru. Also, make all the characters have their own “Devil Triggers” similar to Dynasty Warriors Multi Raid 2 game.
I'm about 7 minutes in, but I wanna share some suggestions as well. I think if we could get any sort of innovation or advancement in the series, I would want 2 things in particular: 1.) A style rating meter similar to DMC. I basically would like a future Basara game to discourage button mashing and encourage players to experiment more with the combat system. I think it would really help distinguish itself further from being seen as a Warriors clone too. It'd be a big shame for people to see Basara 5 as a DW clone because, even tho I've been a lifelong Warriors fan, I think the combo and style potential in Basara is more interesting and satisfying than DW if you take the time to learn your character(s). 2.) Stage variety. If they wanna continue doing hallways fine, but continue to innovate on enemy peons and officer encounters. Not just the stage/environmental gimmicks we have in 3 and 4, but make the enemies interesting to fight too. I want stages to not just feel distinct but also be satisfying enough to make me wanna replay it with other characters. Character variety alone already does a great job of this imo, I just want it to extend further into stage design and enemy encounters. Go even more ham on how ridiculous things could be.
I want to see Nouhime, Ranmaru and Itsuki again. I just think they don’t want to bother anymore since the voice actor died of Azai Nagamasa, Matsunaga Hisahide and Itsuki and who knows who else. Is this a valid reason for not making a BASARA5?
They could always substitute but sure it is a nail in the coffin. Because of the top tier voice actors Basara was always more expensive to make, now if they ever replace the voices they could always make the project cheaper. Since Itsuki was cut out from the series that may be an extra factor to not bring her back
Seiyuu/voice actor is a pretty high reach in japan. The legacy is something they appreciate and hard to be replace. "It won't be the same" kinda thing Itsuki has new voice actor since BASARA Gakuen, Sawashiro Miyuki. For Tsujitani Kouji (Azai Nagamasa VA) and Fujiwara Keiji (Matsunaga Hisahide VA) cases, there is still no one can substitute their voice. Also, voice actor is not the one only obstacle. Some of people want to see something different yet nostalgic either be moveset or else.
@@menorasendaiba6404 might be a wishful thinking but if they ever replace Fujiwara Keiji, I think so far Morikawa Toshiyuki (Kojuro's VA) or Yamaji Kazuhiro (he replaced Fujiwara as Eugen in GBF) actually did a pretty good job for replacement as they actually did a few of Fujiwara's old roles. then again, I'm not sure of that happening. I'm not sure abt Nagamasa's replacement though, so only time will tell whether they'd be replaced or not. Basara has a long history of jumping on popular VA bandwagon so personally I wish Tsuda Kenjiro would someday join in the series.
@@azarishiba2559 actually same, Tsuda Kenjiro is one of the few VAs who can replicate Fujiwara's vocal quality IMO, so yes I'd like to see him voice Matsunaga as well. As of writing this comment I thought of Hino Satoshi (Rengoku from KnY) voicing Nagamasa actually
Here are the things I would like to see in sengoku basara 5. 1. I would like to see, to all characters from the entire sengoku basara series and adult versions Itsuki and Ranmaru like they did with Ieyasu. 2. I would also like to see defense armor return, characters like Yoshitsugu Otani would like cool since his weapon isn't his orbs. 3. special characters, these can be like masamune and yukimura in Sanada yukimuraden, these could include unchained kanbe, yukimura using shingen weapon, ultimate oichi, Angel Nobunaga, and so on. 4. Ultimate weapons, A lot of characters weapons were missing in sengoku basara 3,4, and yuki uraden. 5. Costumes, I would like to see all returning costumes, with the exception of the dlc costume, and I would like to see new costumes, not just color swaps. And finally new characters, I would see Hanzō Hattori, Goemon Ishikawa, Koshōshō, INA, Mitsuki, Yasuke And finally Naomasa Ii.
I wanted a mode where you can verse another player like how in heroes its between east vs west ,also like a war mode were you can choose who to ally with or fight against
I want Miyamoto Musashi back as a playable character, and maybe they can make him actually way stronger and less comedic (in short more historically accurate) considering that the fifth game should be quite late in the era and Musashi should be very famous by that time
I miss the hell out of Nouhime and Ranmaru and want to see them return. I would like to see Basara's take on Hattori Hanzo, he is quite a popular figure to use in fiction. Maybe keep Yukimura's family in the next game too?
My wish for Sengoku BASARA 5 : 1. PC release and PC port for previous titles 2. Character returning...more like variations like you have described. Especially when some character getting older or changed because of story demand. Since Capcom usually release "expansion" title after main title release (3 Utage, 4 Sumeragi, Sanada Yukimura-den), i'm not that worry about character returning. 3. Character that Samurai Warriors has but not exist in BASARA. Lore and background it would be very nice. 4. Ieyasu move rework. His basic attack reach is total ass, his crowd control mostly *MUST BE CHARGED*, and his R2 skills are meh. I still prefer Hideyoshi over Ieyasu 5. I still wanna see if Capcom dare themself to make Sengoku BASARA "Empires" lol Nice video. I rarely see BASARA video with commentary and personal opinion. I would be interested if there are more video about BASARA breakdown or something

I really hope they re-release another collection for the PS4/PS5. Those character themes still slap. This series is still amazing and beloved since the PS2 import days! 😎👍
There is a fan translation of SB4 Sumeragi, but you have to install it on PS4 and have the physical game, I've never tried it, but, apparently, it works. The problem with emulating these games on PC is that PS3 emulation is still imperfect, and I'm not sure if these games have been worked on enough to get them fully playable, so there's likely to be a bunch of crash issues. Of course, the other problem is that PS4 emulation is basically non-existent, so playing the newest games on PC is essentially impossible at the moment.
tbh I did have an image of it being an open world in style of BoTW/Genshin/Wuthering Waves style but absolutely not as a gacha style mobile game. would be pretty cool though if it has a slight shift to action RPG
I would love to see Nobuyuki Sanada, Nohime, and their interpretation of Benkai the warrior monk. I couldn't agree more with you restructuring of the weapons system. And Also subs.
Hideaki Itsuno leaving Capcom leaves Sengoku Basara's future even more up in the air than when this video was made. I hate to say it, but I'm desperate enough to take another untranslated entry, even if that would no-doubt kill the game's sales again. The Musou genre is in such an awful state right now, man. Zelda and Persona spin-offs are getting some of the best gameplay Omega Force has ever made (with Team Ninja's help), while the main series has rotted so much that Origins is premptively merging DW10's initial and Empires releases into one package. The current costs and expectations of even the AA games Musou's embody have just about put the genre out of business, and that's not even getting into their philosophical opposites, Soulslikes, taking over both the action and action-RPG genres with much less variety than we had in the PS2/Xbox OG days. We're marching headlong into a second game industry crash right now, so let's hope that action games of all kinds can rise from the ashes.
For SB5 i would like, ATLEAST, Nohime, Ranmaru and Itsuki back. I would also like Musashi, Yoshimoto, Honganji, Xavi and Ujimasa back but between them only Musashi has a nice odd of coming back. Honganji coming back could be a pretty nice addition so that Nobunaga had a historical accurate foe that would add to his development. Next character is highly unlikely but since he is already in Sumeragi i would love to see Haruhisa become playable, i like his design and they could come up with a nice moveset around wind and sand. Now the most unlikely thing is 2heroes Oichi and 2heroes Ieyasu come back. They were my most played characters and only a miracle would bring them back. Oichi Naginata moveset isnt a clone and they could implement it with an Inscription, R2 or even a separate character if must. Ieyasu is 100% gone, i hate his new design & playstyle in Basara3, i miss his spear. For characters thats it. Now, gameplay wise this franchise cant continue with same old movesets. The best scenario would be what you said about Defense+Button, that way they can keep the old skills that make the character and add new so they feel fresh (That may overwhelm the combat system, so instead they could have a skill system like 2Heroes). Now i think this is a must. Re-design and do a reboot to the story so that every character has a way to shine instead of being only there for the plot (Like motochika in Basara3). I don't want a reboot like Samurai Warriors 5. What i want is a small redesign like Samurai Warriors did from prequel to sequel. I think that is also a good way to make the characters feel fresh (BUT THAT IS ONLY IF THEY KEEP THE OLD OUTFITS AS COSTUMES) and bring new light to the series. Just small adjustments to the design while they keep the essence of our beloved characters. I would be fine without re-design since i love this series but i think its a must if they want to revive the franchise. New characters i want added ? Nothing in specific mind, i like to be surprised by their choice of random characters. Hanzo Hattori would be a nice addition to Ieyasu but we already have enough ninjas. Gracia, how wild would be for a psyco like Mitsuhide having his daughter around. From the mobile game, im only interested in Kiyomasa.
