I got this charger and if one pack has a cell that is unbalanced, it takes ages to balance and charge. While balancing, it even charges all other batteries pluged in very slow. So charging 8 1s unbalanced batteries on this is no good.
FYI, GNB 2S 450s with XT30 are also 27g (mine weigh 28g). Sounded like a good way to cut weight until I checked. Looks like CHNL batteries are just heavy. Love your content - Thanks!
Those orange chnl battery’s are honestly some of the heaviest lipos to use. But they are very durable because they use plastic side plates and a lot of styrofoam stuffing. I have been flying b3.0 battery’s awhile now and I love them but I’m only saving a gram or so, compared to gnb 300-550. This charger will make them a lot easier to charge for me. Thanks for the content
Love your videos! The humor, info, and your flying is all good! Quick if you find 2 seconds....., if you're flying in an environment where there are a lot of buildings, trees and cars, should I crank up the vtx to 400 to get better penatration or am I just bouncing the signal all over stuff?
Thank you. I've heard both answers before. I usually will fly my first pack at a new spot at max mW, and if I'm getting a lot of interference I try dropping to a lower mW.
@InfinityLoops That's actually what I just tried today, going from 400 down to 200 but no change. I'm thinking I have some vibrations adding to the noise. Any suggestions with the Meteor 65 pro? The props are a little dinged up but besides that I tightened the screws everywhere, checked all the camera and vtx joints and I believe the motor shafts are all straight....? Any suggestions? Again, ty for your time and I am definitely digging your channel as a member. Excellent job all around!!
Oh jeez. Are you experiencing the bad video break up everywhere or only at that one place? If only there, maybe wifi in the area causing interfere. I have issues with this (even on r8) in my own house when I'm near the router. If you get bad video everywhere, very possible you have a vtx crapping out on you.
@InfinityLoops , no at the park I'm good and I've never really flown indoors. Plus, I haven't flown much in the last 3 years or so. The vtx's back then on a whoop were always 25mws. So I'm a little perplexed. Do you ever turn your router off when you fly indoors? Thx again
Yes the idea of getting rid of the balance lead to save weight is great and original. It would be nice to know the max current and resistance of this connector, especially in comparison with the mr30 and mt30 connectors, which however seem not used in 2s batteries.
I've only flown 1s to date, But i was looking into moving up to some 2s whoops and toothpicks. I might wait until this new connector is more prevalent and then make the jump. I do like that they've taken the need for a separate balance lead out of the equation.
I like the idea of a singular balance lead that also acts as the main battery lead to the drone. I think it's a little annoying to have an extra bit of cable dangling on a drone - and depending on how it's mounted, it could be a nuisance to have to tuck it in somewhere just to avoid it being hit. on the other hand tho, they're gonna have to compete against the standard which honestly does not have much issues going on with it aside from what I've just mentioned. Though you bring up a good point with weight, accessibility and necessity will still be the bottle neck for smth like this. I'd like to see how far this connector gets in the micro arena. It doesn't have the same compelling reasons like going from ph2.0 to bt2.0 but it will certainly make have its own market
That weight is a huge difference.... That cannot be from the connectir alone. The battery is much smaller. Would love to see a comparison of total discharged power until 3.5V (under load) for example, as there is no free lunch..
Those 2S CNHL 450mah Orange Batteries are rubbish, they are heavy for the capacity, and very V saggy, so the biggest difference you are noticing is going to a quality 2S battery. still I do like the look of the BT3 connector and doing away with the balance lead all together, great concept. I have been using the HGLRC Thor 1-2S Charger 4-way charger for some time and it's a very similar charger, I do like the look of the ViFly ToothStor and I will be getting one once in stock with our local suppliers. What I like about these changes, is being able to simply charge 2S batteries like like 1S batteries.
Which C-Rating did you get for the Tinywhoop 2S? There are a 95C and a 75C. From what I know: Heigher C-Rating means more weight. Maybe thats one reason for that massive weight saving? Thanks for this video, keep it up! 🙂
Yes, but not as simply as we are used to with other plug swaps. This would mean you need to open the top of the CNHL lipo pack and desolder the 2 main cables that run to the xt30. Then solder the BT3 plug to the 3 wires that go to the XH2.54 balance plug. I believe that is all you'd have to do, but not 100% on that.
Is that 450mah bt3 battery an HV? Not sure if you're comparing HV to non HV. That would mean less weight and is an unfair comparison. You only save like 3~4g realistically changing xt30 to bt3. I find it to be more neat and not dangling around. But we need gnb to make an a30 for the bt3 as well 😅
Well I think I'm sold on the BT3.0 just for weigh savings since would be a good choice for a light O3 build that I'm planning. But I may take some time for me to be able to get some batteries since the BetaFPV store is not shipping to my country :(
I don't know think you use the wrong quad for comparison try them on your iflight nanobaby20 2s 2inch that would be better for micro flyers that fly 2s like the hglrc Draknight you should try to get that one
That also being said the CNHL batteries tend to be heavier than other manufacturers. A 2S 450 from GNB is only 26g. I don't see BT3.0 coming to Canada anytime soon so that will also keep me away from it. Great flying as always though !
Nick just messaged me to mention the heavier weight on the cnhl's. I would normally fly the Tattus but couldn't get them very easily. The cnhl were just readily available for us burgers 🇺🇸 GNBs are listed as "27g (+/-2g)" the give or take 2g 😄 about to start using that for my height haha Thanks for the feedback bro, I don't see these taking off and replacing xt30s anytime soon. But I do think some niche applications could be useful. Time will tell I guess.
@@InfinityLoops ill let it slide this time... as long as you dont tell them about me dumping through city streets at night lololo. Im not sure if its wrong but someone told me my recent night video is very questionable
My bad, i red a wrong voltage, but why it says on top left 3S 8.7V when a single cell voltage on the bottom is 3.8? Shouldnt it be 7.6 the total? And what 3S stands for?
Yes it's worth it. I bought two. I made myself some balance leads and now I could charge eight 1s batteries with one unit

I needed this year's ago, gotta pick one up.

Sorry for the late response. I have never tried unplugging my router. Usually, I just try to sit far away from it.

Chadly. I am testing my Toothstor today! Will let you know! I think it’ll be a slam dunk though.
Nice aeration on the yard lol! They did a great job!
Those are spikey balls from my Sweet Gum tree. Pain in the ass, hate those things.
@@InfinityLoops I couldn’t tell. They looked like aeration plugs lol. They’re a pain all right!

It's definitely not a bad idea to wait a bit and see how these go.

Dope review and flying
Just got mine too! Kinda like how i can charge any 2s through the balance leads. So until i decide to switch leads, it still charges my 2s xt30. 🔥
Nice SPIN CATCH BRO - did you notice any differences in sag compared to your xt30? Thanks for the vid !
No noticeable difference. I'm sure they very well could be on paper, but I couldn't tell. Was still chucking it into powerloops at like 3.3v 👍
man i just got all these a30s!
oooop these are 2s never mind

@@InfinityLoops Thanks. OK then thats no reason here because the CNHL an 75C. The packs looking great 🙂
The reason is: Foldet cells
Those look nice! Looking to upgrade my 2s toothpick. Think I found my upgrade!! Uwu.
How to convert Cnhl xt30 to bt3.0 ?Is possible to remove xt30 completely and just solder bt3.0 to balance leads?

But the drone you are using is a 3s looking at the dvr info not a 2s, whats the point of reviewing a 2s and flying a 3s?

@@InfinityLoopsoh ok, now its clear, a question, why the goggles indicate the total voltage but drone only single cell and not the total voltage?
And why the Amh indicator keep rising the number? Is it indicating the amh consumed?
