I think not having Cody Schrader in the backfield is a bigger problem than what people think. Brady and him were boys. I think Brady was much more comfortable with him in the backfield. Just a thought though.
Yeah, the 4th down decisions were very confusing. That could have been a game changer if they converted and grabbed momentum instead of attempting a FG and missing the first of the night. I am pretty concerned. If they call games like this against Bama and OK, then I think they need divine or ref intervention to win. I hope they are learning and growing and getting better. The defense is coming up big at key times. It seems the offense is not stepping up when the defense does to put the game away. The only thing I can say is they stepped it up the first play in OT. But they had at least two critical 3rd and 1's that they got stuffed. Those were game-changing plays that a solid running game should make, and certainly when your rb has 199 yards rushing in the game. "Something is off with the offense." I hope they figure it out. A loss to Umass or SC or Miss St or Auburn... almost certainly means no playoffs. That will disappoint a lot of Mizzou fans. With all the pieces in place, we expected to see much of what we did last year. Horrible roughing the passer. Just horrible. The Ref crew should be fined for that one. There are so many things off.
Now, I'm not saying this is completely accurate, but we might have been better off if Eli Drinkwitz was distracted with a game of dungeon and dragons during the last 2 minutes of each half.
The problem is Brady Cook. You’ve got NFL level receivers the best in college football and you can’t get the ball in their hands because you can’t throw. Even some of their catches the balls were behind them above them. He’s barely getting it to them and often way overthrowing or under throwing at their feet. Drew Pyne. I’m telling you Pyne would make this team look completely different on offense. Who cares if he can’t run the ball like Brady Cook? Brady Cook runs the ball twice in a game. Your grandma could hand off the ball to running back. Half the plays they’re just hanging off the ball so that would be equal and the other half of throwing the ball so that’s who you want.
I'm in the marching band so its impossible to tell if field goals are good on that side of the field

Could be! Cody was pretty solid in pass protection as well. They’re getting good production from their backs now, we’ll see if the chemistry grows
Back to the crazy uniforms combo's; which always means games like this.
They just need to pick a combo and a helmet logo and stick with it

Lol.
Worth a shot?? I don’t know 🤷♂️
Brady Cook is off this year not even close to last year year
It reminds me of Middle Tennessee last season
Agreed

It's like sitting on a cactus. On top of another giant cactus.

He has not been playing well this season. Would be surprised if they do bench him but would like to see how Pyne looks with the 1s.
Brady probably saved Drinkowitz’s job last year. They won’t be benching him. Only way you see Pyne is if Cook gets hurt.
That said, Cook probably has played his way out of a shot at the NFL
@@rogerwoods6322 you’re probably right on both points
Play calling sucks.
