While I understand that Seán is not the one at fault here entirely and it's his ADHD's fault, I am still getting frustrated because of this. It was constantly showing a huge "TOO LOW" message under the stress level =/
Well I was thinking about it. I think she did report it after she learned about it, but remember when Todd came to pick her up from the repair place he was like “ oh she was hit by a car blah blah blah” I think she was about to report it or did and Todd broke her
Spoiler: because she cant call child abuse when there is no child, duh. Marcus called police in seconds at even suspected break-in. One of the few cleverer foreshadowings the "twist" had.
(Yes, I know I'm very late...) I feel like Connor has the most personality out of the three protagonists, and that's probably why most people like him most. He has little habits (playing with a coin, adjusting his tie), and a very specific way of talking and doing things. The way he moves, the way he looks at things, the way he interacts with humans. Its all very personalized to him. As an author, I find all this very well done. He's a very layered character.
Plus he’s the only one whose story is actually any good Kara’s is ruined by the twist that makes the entire message of her story null, and markus’ best ending completely hinges on him falling in love with the girl youve been disagreeing with literally every step of the way because she’s the violent one of the resistance while markus is a pacifist
I have to agree. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but it seems like there was almost more effort put into his story compared to the other two. it's just more interesting. shit, the entire game could've just been about Connor going around talking to people and hanging out with Hank and petting dogs and I would've been perfectly content. his story is definitely the strong point.
In the interrogation scene, to get to the percentage you’re SUPPOSED to get, you have to go hard on him the whole time. Then, when the game asks which way you want to finish the interrogation, you convince him, lowering the stats juuuusttt right. So not only does the Android survive, along with Conner, but you also get to see Conner’s iconic interrogation scene we all know and love!
connor is best boy What's even funnier is Connor is only like a month or two old at this point in the game. At the start of the game he's a few weeks at most.
What I find the most heartwarming was even though Carl was going through immense stress with Leo being injured, he understood it was not what Marcus intended. He knew Marcus was defending himself, even though he told him not to, and it lead to a genuine accident. Even then, Carl’s first concern with him was about the risk of him getting destroyed, most likely because he was aware of what the humans would do to him once they found out he’s harmed a person.
It made me so happy when I saw that scene. Carl really cares for Marcus, and then in the alternate scene where Marcus calls Carl "Dad" gives me the warm fuzzies.
@@theintrovert_227 i fORGOT about the dad part, i got that on my first playthrough and it broke me. Markus is my favourite as well, which made it worse xD
@BunsGlazing I respectfully disagree. Leo was an insecure addict. The whole point of that scene was that Leo hated androids and was insecure about his position in his father's life compared to Markus. Also, when people become addicted to drugs, their family has to either e there every step of the way and go through Extreme emotional hardship, or distance yourself because you know they won't get better. Many people end up doing the latter, so I think Carl distanced himself from Leo to stop having to be on edge all the time, still supporting him from a distance. Drugs make people say and do crazy sh*t.
@BunsGlazing my brother treats our father in a similar way. he only hits him up when he wants something. so I can say from personally watching them interact; Leo is just mad that Carl isn't enabling him.
@@theintrovert_227 Yes, but as someone who knows a lot of current and former addicts-I’ve never met a single one whose parents treated them well in childhood and early adult life. All, literally ALL of the seven very close relationships I’ve had with addicts have claimed that their parents never loved them (whether or not that is true, that is how they perceive it). Usually it’s a situation of the parent fails as a guiding and supportive figure, the child fails to healthfully cope, and everyone ends up screwed. Carl is a good character and a good man, but someone can be a good man and a bad father, and vice versa. Carl treats Markus well, yes, but received Markus as a near-perfect, pleasant, and obedient adult man. It’s likely Carl couldn’t deal with a less than perfect child son and they both suffered. Likely Carl screwed up so Leo screwed up and now they’re both at fault. Relationships are more complicated than good vs bad.
@@SpaceKadet1454we can still criticize it if we want to, he clearly didn’t see the stress level saying too low and wasn’t happy with the scene he got after that.
I love how this series doesn’t compromise in giving examples of Cyberlife bots in the world. Kara’s story gives melancholic undertones to a broken family, Connor’s gives a story of the much darker ends of the robots’ use, and Markus’s story tells of the better uses of the robots
Jack guesses the true villain of Undertale within 25 minutes of playing. Completely ignores and misses the "optimal stress levels" instruction of the interrogation despite it repeatedly warning him about it.
Yeah i kept screaming at the screen when it kept saying "Too Low" and he was saying it was going well. Lol But i do enjoy seeing all the different outcomes.
NIGHTTACO10 CallieRodriguez if you look closely you can see brackets on the stress bar and your supposed to get the stress in between those brackets so that you have enough pressure to get an answer but not too much that the android kills itself
I don’t know how many other people noticed this, but both when Kara breaks orders for the first time and when Markus does, the perfect grid that they see when scanning the environment is no longer a perfect, 3 dimensional grid, but a greyed view with lines randomly floating or fallen. I have no explanation of what specific intention was behind this design, I just wanted to feel smart when I pointed it out
as someone with a parent like Todd, seeing Jack take action so immediately like that made me cry. It's shown me that there are people who'll help and who will protect me instead of trying to delay another outburst. Thank you, Jack.
meja ccp the stress has to be in the middle at least 50/60% or even 70% if you have his stress low then he’ll kill himself anyways and you won’t get any details
Connor: Everything's going to be alright. Don't worry Gavin: He's too nice Connor immediatly after that: TWENTY EIGHT STAB WOUNDS!! Gavin: {spits out coffee}
POV: you're Carl, and the cops come in as you've called them for help. They see one unconscious person, one crying on the floor and an android standing nearby looking shocked. Their response? Immediately destroy your android that's worth thousands of dollars without even introducing yourselves or asking who's who or what's happening
4 years later and I still have emotional reactions when I see the androids in distress [LED turns red] and I begin praying for the downfall of everyone but the androids.
With a parent similar to Todd, witnessing his first outburst made me hyperventilate, but I calmed down. As for his second outburst I felt myself beginning to panic, but when the girl said "He's gonna hurt me" and Jack said "No he's not", I felt my heart in my throat. I kept on rewatching that part because of the way he sounded so confident that he was going to get her out of there. It makes me happy to know that there are people like him in this world, even if these actions were in a video game. He was just so determined to keep that child safe. I wish there were more people like Sean.
I just love how Jack's personality let's him assume that its good if the android is not stressed while interrogation. It just shows what a good soul he is. I mean i was also trying to talk to my TV while watching, but it also felt good that he wanted the android relaxed, because he thought, it was supposed to be like that. Making a traumatized person trust you is much better than stressing them out, it's a small line between not enough and too much and it can be crossed way too easy. It just makes my heart melt to see Jack try to do what he thinks is good.
I thought so, when I was watching this game for the very first time! I watched it from one other youtuber, which did the opposite thing than Jack. I was so confused that why he was doing so, because...yeah xD but now, as I'm watching it from Jack, it kinda annoyed me how he played that interrogation. I don't even wanna be annoyed, because this is a story based game after all, so...every choice is the right choice (there's no wrong choice and it's interesting to see other people's choices - that's kinda the reason why I'm watching this xD).
Although he literally thought it would be best after being looked for by the police for running away from their owner to steal money (which also gave even more hints to the police) to sleep in a motel which would leave even more clues for the police to find them straight away... just sayin
I personally like Kara’s story the most just because I can find my younger self in Alice’s character yet I also find my current self in Kara’s character.
At least not in 2018. Humans are a bit stupid right now... more than a bit, actually. If this were real, I'd side with the androids in a heartbeat, as long as the revolution hadn't been cold-blooded and the fighting was provoked. Even if it wasn't provoked though... if it wasn't out of cold-blooded hate, I'd be right there with them.
Connor: **returns badge and gun** I don't belong here, nothing is keeping me here, not the case, **glances at Hank** Not my partner. It's about time I did this. Hank: I just met you! And you stole my lines! **Throws his badge and gun** I'm out
I’m really confused as to why he kept lowering the stress. It says at the beginning that you need to get an optimal stress level. Then it shows exactly the range that it can be in. But for some reason he just kept saying, “This is going great,” when the game even said it was too low.
Something interesting I’ve noticed is once the androids become deviant, their environment when they scan becomes different. Before the androids become deviant, whenever they scan the environment around them has a holographic 3D grid. After they become deviant, their scan environment looks like it had shards of glass floating around, which is a reference to when they were breaking down the invisible barrier after “waking up”
When jack does the pause to scan the environment, and everything gets a very blue tint, a 3D grid also appears. However now that they're deviating, those grid lines are just floating about. Neat detail.
I love how that bit on the side of their head changes color based on what’s going on. Red = Fear/Danger Yellow = Thinking Blue = Neutral No color = Shutting down/dead
JayAwesomeGames that would be cool, except that I live in Switzerland XD, so emm pretty hard, I would love to visit detroit tho one day, and I'm going outside when the sun is shing, since it's almost midnight here XD
I tried to bring stress down as much as I could. Didn’t work out. When I’m pressured he got all scared and I quit. They tried getting him and I intervened. That’s how far I am.
Yeah! It was annoying me so much! You have to get it stressed out to a certain point to where it will confess! Also you have to keep intervening to keep it from self destructing.
jake kayll that was legit me when I played it. Until I saw “too low” and I was saying”crap crap crap crap crap” and I tried to threaten but it was too late
Edgar 606 because he's supposed to get it stressed to a certain point in order to get a confession. There's even a little outlined box that details the right amount of stress level
It’s very confusing the way they did it. It’s not natural to want stress level to go up especially after that first scenario with the child on the roof
Pretty clear cut to me. If something can ask wether it is alive then the question is already answered. The only part I wouldn't like is them looking at me and knowing all the info that has been recorded about me.

True, but he also shot and killed the first-responding police officer when they shot at him. And the fact that they feel vengeance / jealousy is terrifying enough, haha! =P
They are like walls, keep hammering "it" and they'll eventually fall. Maybe "it" will take someone with them in the process and maybe, the wall will make the roof as well as other walls to fall with "it".

I feel like Connor has the most personality out of the three protagonists, and that's probably why most people like him most. He has little habits (playing with a coin, adjusting his tie), and a very specific way of talking and doing things. The way he moves, the way he looks at things, the way he interacts with humans. Its all very personalized to him.
As an author, I find all this very well done. He's a very layered character.
Plus he’s the only one whose story is actually any good
Kara’s is ruined by the twist that makes the entire message of her story null, and markus’ best ending completely hinges on him falling in love with the girl youve been disagreeing with literally every step of the way because she’s the violent one of the resistance while markus is a pacifist
@@dubiousdeliquite6641 ugh YES markus's story made me SO mad

I have to agree. In the interrogation scene, to get to the percentage you’re SUPPOSED to get, you have to go hard on him the whole time. hi have a good day same
It's either that or have Carl die of a heart attack
Pearl Exquisite Yeah, I know, but Leo doesn’t die

It is adorable. The man clearly cares about others anxiety.
I mean yeah I agree but the fact that he couldn't fucking read the "TOO LOW" is SO ANNOYING.
Although he literally thought it would be best after being looked for by the police for running away from their owner to steal money (which also gave even more hints to the police) to sleep in a motel which would leave even more clues for the police to find them straight away... just sayin

LEVEL OF STRESS - TOO LOW
jack: "yeah! this is going good"
He actually had me in tears
jake kayll why? It is not a good thing?
jake kayll that was legit me when I played it. Until I saw “too low” and I was saying”crap crap crap crap crap” and I tried to threaten but it was too late
Edgar 606 because he's supposed to get it stressed to a certain point in order to get a confession. There's even a little outlined box that details the right amount of stress level
BigBoss1228 Ooo that how it work thank😀

Pretty clear cut to me. If something can ask wether it is alive then the question is already answered. The only part I wouldn't like is them looking at me and knowing all the info that has been recorded about me.
Is a rock alive?
