However, I'm also Filipino. ;) We do produce a TREMENDOUS amount of cane sugar, and we also are pretty infamous for making just about anything sweet (we even have sweet spaghetti, sweet ketchup, all of it). It's kind of a running joke that Filipinos have quite the sweet tooth.
It's about 4USD in Malaysia my country, but only less than 2USD in Taiwan, the origin! The queue depends on the customer flow, when there's a short queue, only takes less than 5 minutes. Theres a new XingFuTang shop in my city just opened 3 days ago, the queue is crazy bcos they're having buy 1 free 1 activity.

if you're not in an asian country, i guess the bubble tea/brown sugar milk tea craze isn't that strong to have many chains of these kinds of outlets in your country... in my neighbourhood's transport interchange hub there's 5 different outlets selling either this, bubble tea, or both.
I had the Brown sugar bubble tea when I went to Korea. It was delicious but just like this place, 3/4 of the cup was filled with ice. In about 5 sips, all I had left was a full cup of ice.
I was just about complaining that the milk just looked like whole milk and no milk tea, then i read the title again. I'm satisfied i wasn't clickbaited 😌

EDIT: I ordered boba tea without ice after watching this video, and not only did I get it warm/hot like I always wanted it to be in the first place, I had a lot more to drink too. And since I like my boba tea ultra sweet, it could be felt even more this way. So yup. It's a complete win for me 😁

I stayed in London for a while and decided to experiment different bubble teas (specially brown sugar ones) and when I found Xing Fun tang........... the search was over. I only went to this one (and asked with no ice lmao). I love sugary drinks and this one was creamy and sweet, just what I was looking for. Their pearls were delicious and full of flavor!

because Taiwanese is world expert in term of making sweet stuff. Taiwan actually produces cane sugar, which is not something many country can say.
