Man dies saving woman, dog from drowning in Willamette River

A family is grieving the loss of Derik Morganstern, after he saved a woman and his dog from drowning in the Willamette River in Salem.

She don't know how to swim and still plunged herself in the water? If you can't swim, wear a life jacket or stay in the shallow area. It doesn't take a genius to know that.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that she jumped off the bridge with intention of dying. She didn’t want his help and he jumped in to save her anyways. They clearly said that she attempted to take her own life.
