Great Video! "Dodgy Blokes" LOL!! We use our ice fishing rods for brook fishing all the time up here in Maine. Longer rods constantly get stuck in the trees.
I used to fish years ago when I was around 14 but stopped because of work commitments!! Love your channel, and your attitude gives me the motivation to get back on the lakes!!
I love the way you are releasing the fish. Too many youtubers (and fishermen) are just literally throwing the exhausted fish into the water. Glad you take your time to properly hold them until they have recovered!

What an awesome vid something different that river must be so fertile full of natural food shallow as anything but stuffed with fish on the bigger rivers the fish are more harder to locate because there's so many fishy swims and not all of them hold fish but that small river your on they seem to be in all the fishy swims.I enjoy when your after the preds but I think this is your best vid yet and all on the mini rod top mini dangling bro 🎣🐟👍
Those ice rods can take a lot of stick. Be careful as the EA used to dictate by law that rods must be over 6ft. Don’t know if that’s still the case. I know you used it for novelty, but I expect there’s plenty of situations where they would be well suited. Sitting up in a tree etc. I can’t believe how nice that river is btw! Nice vid

Tip top fishing tips and videos, I been looking at your videos the last few mts, as I live in Dublin it's lock down till 18 of May, I need to get out and back on the bank, I just started out using a sonik lit tec spinning rod and shamio exgage 1000, which the reel is loose when I put it in rod sit, I got rovex 4000, the rod throw lures from 2,till 8 grms, bud what would the top five soft baits to have with u on canal to use, hope you can help me out, Irish, keep the videos going,
What is the tackle shop you purchased the tiny rod from marketing the use of the rod as? Because that's an ice fishing rod and there's not much call for this type of rod here in the UK

I'd argue his experience in that previous video and the "rod rest" he has made in this one is pretty innovative. He also has his own unique thing going on here(again - have you seen any of his other vids??). I've been fishing for 40 years and I've seen and heard it all - people like you don't belong on the bank. Cheers Chris - as always top stuff :)
