Amazing!! 🤟 20+ yrs later and not only is it still fresh…it’s getting stronger. At 12:57 the haunting audio produces a figurative set of neon green eyes that rise to stalk you from the brush. Only to elevate through the 20:00 mark which begins a patented slow drip of a mix only JD can produce that does not let up until has spun the last note. Exquisite aural experience each and every time. He is greatly under appreciated. But those who know…know. Pure genius, really. Love the JD comments out here.

This is one of my all time favorites. Underground House is supposed to be dark, edgy, sexy, and thrilling. He continued to be on the cutting edge of the dance music genre and has never sold out, commercialized, or compromised his love for the dance floor, or his passion for tracks that burn with intensity, and build to a sick, twisted climax. Such a KING mixing the progressive! What a tracklist, only Digweed is able to mix this 4 to the flloor like this. There are many more but not like this. The LA mixes are a trip and never forgettin the mighty 909!

Best compilation cd ever!! especially cd 2 is deeper than deep and has such a great flow!! Man, I still listen to this CD so many times and this disc has been around for a few years now. Digweed is the king of progressive house!! he was, he is and he always will be!!!

Yes!! I was a teenager and electro parties just started to go off. But we just knew of techno. I went to cd shop in Germany. Didnt know what to look for. I bought few discs judging by the cover. Took this one and few other. This album had THE BEST booklet ever! Amd than when i played it. Head bloooown! The way he rides the same rhytm in the background but adds sounds on top of it. And then the main beat just comes in. WAAAUUUU.MMMMMMMMM
To put it in prospective I’ve been listening to this album in its entirety not for 3 hours…when I started it I was doing something completely different than I am now….crazy man I still cannot wrap my head around this album for years…it’s my favorite digweed arrangement

One of my favorites. I bought this when it came out and it is still one of the best. Dark and spacious. Amazing. My favorite Digweed is this Los Angeles set.

Started listening to Sasha and Digweed in 1993 with the Renaissance CD's. They have never disappointed me, 2 thumbs up

They actually do still make music like this still as far as progressive house goes. Its a mixture of prog house and deep house now. Digweed still puts out quality mixes. His style now is more Techno/Tech-House. It is some killer shit!

The build-ups and transitions are great, it's so dark it almost sounds evil. One has to listen to mixes like this with caution, as they can induce drug-like experiences even while sober, especially with the proper setting (dark room, music blasting loud, vibrations in your chest) ... be careful.

John Digweed London discs best ever after the Noughties/turn of the millinium..Also R2 or Renaissance 2 in late Nineties }:‑)
Oddly enough, this is now seen as a great mix. While it was loved when released, that didnt last. Between 2002 and 2007 or so, many people felt this was too dark, and didnt like it. I personally place this alongside of the Hard Rock Orlando set from the same year as my favorites. Dark prog rocks!

The problem with Digweed is that he is so ahead of the musical society that he is not fully understood at times for the pioneer he is
I enjoyed my fair share of dark prog when it was at its peak... I "discovered" Digweed when I downloaded his Kiss 100 Club Yellow Part 3 set... the first track is Deep Amok - Shades... holy crap that thing is evil and dark!!! And that got me hooked forever on Digweed.

This was slagged off by some when it came out for being too dark/heavy. It sounded stunning then & sounds the same now. Maybe Digweed knew best?
