Black box? Tub? Y’all savage. haters out here hating on the pond. I feel like this was a back to your roots DIY project but people came out for the wow factor. Keep it up Joey, it was a cool to see it come together nd I’m excited to see what you stock it with
White sand substrate. That way the tank is brighter and you can see the fish. If you just leave it bare, the light won’t do much as the black will just absorb the light and it will be tough to see the fish.
Joey, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time - since the green screen days. Just wanted to drop in one minor comment for this episode. It’s difficult to see the pond since it’s front of a dark gray wall. If you can contrast is somehow it would really make the pond pop out in future episodes
Looks great. A white substrate and the big log would work well, giving some contrast for the fish to show up better and having something to help them feel more secure while not taking up too much room.
Logan Gray well peacock bass better known as temensis cichlids are some of the best angler challenge's in the south western hemisphere. And they reach 30-38 inches long.
For some reason, I'm thinking red belly piranha. They grow over a foot in length, and Joey likes his monsters, they're a schooling fish who like to hide in the dark, and they are *very* energetic feeders. Certainly a strong contender.
Maybe think about lining the upper edge with moss covered wood to create sort of an over hang, it will give the fish a place to be out of plain sight and a little shade, and i think it would pretty awesome.
I love how consistent you are with your videos . Your working hard and it shows . I look on my phone and see another video has posted and get excited ! Your dedication and persistence reflects in your videos ! Awesome job 👍👍👍
Hello Joey ... ur moving so fast ... enjoying th ride with u 😀 !!! However u decide to scape this pond joey... remember water lilies ( even on its own ) or in addition with 1 or 2 other type of pond plants such as umbrella palm, dwarf cattail , pickerel, ( water hyacinths are beautiful n very popular but in my experience .. rots easily, so b careful ) etc. will leave no misinterpretation that this is a pond !!!! Also ( i know u have lots of wood frm th aquariums but ) would u consider using a piece of log instead ? again , giving the pond a completely different visual appeal from anthing else in your fish room . Last .. a water feature of some kind eg. maybe a waterfall or something that will create the sound of water trickling or falling will definitely complete the look n feel of this project !! As always ... whatever u decide joey .. we know it will b awesome 😊👍 !!! Thank u for taking us on this journey with u ... its been a learning and entertaining experience !!! Eddie n Jill.
Hey Joey, what about lillypads for the arowana tank? Get a bunch, would look awesome with the arowana swimming in between the stems and the rays cant eat them.
So the lining is black, the outside is black, it’s very dark, and will be covered with plastic you can’t see through...it will only be enjoyable the few moments you feed them?
My fantasy is for you to whisper "out" or "about" in that canadian accent in my new york ear while we do water changes. Talk about my dream Lmao! Jk love youuuu
Even with all the problems encountered, you've done a Fantastic job on it. Very few of us could do what you have accomplished with your Gallery, and your Pond. I am sure few will be disappointed with the finished product. The August event in Florida sounds like it'll be great. Your being there will make it even more spectacular. Be sure to share a video on the event with us, if you're able. Congrats on your pond and thank you for sharing it with the rest of us.
I vote bare bottom on the predator pond, tank, enclosure, trough, box of water and whatever else people are adding their 2 cents in lol. Love the vids Joey, literally everything I’ve seen is just awesome. Keep up the great work and don’t let the auto-correctors distract you with their non-sense. Ain’t worth the time.
Fill the bottom with Pool Sand. It helps get some light in it so it is not so dark. I had one of these for my stingrays and am looking at doing it again. Waiting to see how you plumb your filtration.
The king of DIY please try the floating plants again! I'm kind of assuming the flow in this tank will be lower on the surface than on the 2,000. That should really help them out.
Watching this now, glued to the TV, I've always wanted a pond. It's seems so basic but can't wait to see it finished and I'm expecting the wow factor. Great work man, keep it up.
Personally I wouldn’t put any wood in the pond. If it had viewing panels I would have a different opinion. Just add some good o’ll pool filter sand. It’s hard to appreciate hard scape from a deep top view. I’m going to love it either and anyway.
I think the key to decorating the pond would simplicity. Only decorations that would make the fish look and act better. A few nice pieces of drift wood, moss, and a few floating plants that wouldn’t take away from the fish. Like pond lilies maybe
The king of DIY, I love your work you inspired me to get my own tank, and I'm guessing that you got Pacu or piranhas or something around that area of aquatic life
Yo Joey.... ur killing me man on what fish ur putting in... I’m thinking ur rolling with a Peacock Bass it’s gotta be lolol anyways I will definitely be tuned in this Sunday!! Much love and aloha 🤙🏽🐠🤙🏽
Am I the only person who is just not here for the whole 'predator pond' with peacock bass, redtail cats n all that thing. Everyone with a big pond has them, it's all very samey.
My thoughts: White bottom nothing else. Love the pond in black. I would say so far its as if you read my mind. Fish Hmm Bass, Gar, Piranha, sharks, Cats. Cant say i know your choice of fish as yet, looking forward to them though. Great job king J
Hoping it's going to be a semi large cichlid like Oscars where you could have 8-10 fish 14 inches each instead of a bass pond which is only large enough for a couple adults at best... and maybe add in a large catfish as there just epic.
If I were able to have a fish room I would keep the theme of fish in Aquariums by building a mineral oil aquarium for a computer just to complete looks. A perfect example is Linus Tech tips, of Vancouver Canada mineral oil computer.
About the substrate: many fish dislike a bright substrate due to the fact that it makes them feel exposed. This might compromise their natural behavior. You might want to reconsider and go with a natural color substrate.
You know the way it is right now with the wave maker, you could just heat the water and make it a hot tub! Would be nice in the snowy winter months of Canada. : >)
You should work a standing waterfall in the pond. Little pump, some plants on the Malaysian piece or an Aqua Decor piece angling into thenpond might look really nice
Okay okay, i just found your channel yesterday around 2 am and now it's 3 pm and believe it or not, oh boy oh boy i watched A LOT of your videos. Gotta say the way you talk about what you love, the way you showcase it to us, I just had to stick around But gotta sleep now 😅 BTW love Frank 😍
I think white substrate will do just fine so we can see clearly the awesome predator fish. i don't feel having driftwood in the pond due to fish might bump into it. Just my two cents. Anyway cant wait to Sunday for the unboxing. :D
Hey, awesome fish pond Don’t put any decorations in it . Just put a huge DIY emblem on the bottom, and there’s the white your looking for. Great videos I have a couple big oscars myself. I hope you put some in your pond to.
Don’t put the big piece of wood put many smaller ones so while they’re little they have protection. But as they grow you can change the amount of wood you have in their.
I would have loved to see koi in there , the contrast would have been awesome on that black background.
Franks new pond is loking good
Black box? Tub? Y’all savage. haters out here hating on the pond. I feel like this was a back to your roots DIY project but people came out for the wow factor. Keep it up Joey, it was a cool to see it come together nd I’m excited to see what you stock it with

Yall I don't think it is going to be Gar. He has said before that he never wants to keep Gar again after having a bad experience.
What if Joey trolls us and makes a goldfish pond that he was talking about over a year ago? 😂😂
Mehdi’s Aquariums well, goldfish are definitely aggressive eaters 😂
👌🏻👌🏻😂😂😂
Looks great. A white substrate and the big log would work well, giving some contrast for the fish to show up better and having something to help them feel more secure while not taking up too much room.
guys...it will be a guppy pond
Please put a white substrate, I think it would look alot better than just all black, it kind of looks like a void
I'm thinking bass but that's all you think when you're a bass fisherman and see the word "pond"! 😂
Logan Gray yeah I was thinking bass for the same reason
Logan Gray well peacock bass better known as temensis cichlids are some of the best angler challenge's in the south western hemisphere. And they reach 30-38 inches long.
Mitchell Lubline I think peacock bass are beautiful and would be an incredible pond fish. Though in my area you only get to really see largemouth.
For some reason, I'm thinking red belly piranha. They grow over a foot in length, and Joey likes his monsters, they're a schooling fish who like to hide in the dark, and they are *very* energetic feeders. Certainly a strong contender.
stick a camera inside the pond, hang a flatscreen on the outside, and connect the 2. we'll call it "digital glass"
I think the background should be bright enough so we can see the fish clearly :)
The pond looks perfect
👍👍 Thumbs up for the white substrate so we can see what the heck will be in there 😉
I don't care how you decorate it, you're going to change it in three months anyway! XD love you Joey
It seems like you are back with oscar's. One of the best predator fish and love watching them during feeding time.
I’ll be curious to see how easy it is to see the fish once complete. Seems like a nice set-up from breeding some types of fish
I think a white sand substrate would be a good contrast to the pond and would showcase the fish better.
Maybe think about lining the upper edge with moss covered wood to create sort of an over hang, it will give the fish a place to be out of plain sight and a little shade, and i think it would pretty awesome.
With a tank like this...and the chances of you going bigger at some point...
I'm hoping for the INFAMOUS Arapaima!
Watching Joey slip into fish room induced madness is highly entertaining :)
I feel like the peacock bass are going in there.😂
I love how consistent you are with your videos . Your working hard and it shows . I look on my phone and see another video has posted and get excited ! Your dedication and persistence reflects in your videos ! Awesome job 👍👍👍
Hi Joey, what about using white tiles as substrate for the pond ? it will help to protect the line
How about some type of underwater lighting?
KMANWEBER and a viewing panel on the side would be awesome
Hello Joey ... ur moving so fast ... enjoying th ride with u 😀 !!! Eddie n Jill.
Aggressive eater... has to be a Snakehead. Those things are wicked! Really awesome too!
vittoamp or Gar
Hey Joey, what about lillypads for the arowana tank? Get a bunch, would look awesome with the arowana swimming in between the stems and the rays cant eat them.
nero zwei yaaas i comment it like a thousands tines
nero zwei he's already got the other floating plants though with the hanging roots
Your viewers are growing by the minute!fantastic how you keep it real man!Nova Scotia is where you are grounded and real.
I wanna see you do a tank with Largemouth bass, or Bluegill or something like that.
So the lining is black, the outside is black, it’s very dark, and will be covered with plastic you can’t see through...it will only be enjoyable the few moments you feed them?
It's pretty obvious that your getting a pair of guppies.
you didnt build the pond too fast, you just ordered the fish too soon
My fantasy is for you to whisper "out" or "about" in that canadian accent in my new york ear while we do water changes. Talk about my dream Lmao! Jk love youuuu

A Gar would be pretty cool. All those other fish seems to be quite common.....
Awwwww joey was missing his monsters so he built a cute indoor pond that's precious
Nothing bad ever happened installing a light while standing in 38" of water lol
Hard Hitting Surface Feeders!!! This is gonna be awesome, I can't wait to see what you have planned!
Make a jelly fish tank 😊
I vote bare bottom on the predator pond, tank, enclosure, trough, box of water and whatever else people are adding their 2 cents in lol.
Love the vids Joey, literally everything I’ve seen is just awesome. Keep up the great work and don’t let the auto-correctors distract you with their non-sense. Ain’t worth the time.
Definitely white substrate. You definitely need white substrate.
Fill the bottom with Pool Sand. It helps get some light in it so it is not so dark. I had one of these for my stingrays and am looking at doing it again. Waiting to see how you plumb your filtration.
Leave it bare with some white or natural sand on the bottom so they are easier to see pleaseeeeee
The king of DIY please try the floating plants again! I'm kind of assuming the flow in this tank will be lower on the surface than on the 2,000. That should really help them out.
This is a great solution when my Oscars get too big for their 880litre tank.
Watching this now, glued to the TV, I've always wanted a pond. It's seems so basic but can't wait to see it finished and I'm expecting the wow factor. Great work man, keep it up.
So you're basically having a black box with fish in it you can't see... Sounds great!
Oh my gosh, are you putting piranhas in there?? Barracudas? Bass of some sort? Oh man, I'm so excited to see what you put in the predator pond!
Are you going to have the fish in the pond in the next video?
Looking great joey, cant wait for sunday. Like the idea of a light substrate.
Personally I wouldn’t put any wood in the pond. If it had viewing panels I would have a different opinion. Just add some good o’ll pool filter sand. It’s hard to appreciate hard scape from a deep top view. I’m going to love it either and anyway.

Peacock bass eh? That will be fun, I can't think of a harder hitting fish!
This project is moving pretty quickly
I am surprised you havent sat in it with the waves on and pretended it is a jacuzzi!
I better see you and Catch em all hanging down there in florida :)

The king of DIY are they filled with phiranhas?

The king of DIY. Led lights inside the pond that would be 😎
Yo Joey.... ur killing me man on what fish ur putting in...
Everyone with a big pond has them, it's all very samey.
lol that pause, thought you were about to show Frank for a sec XD
I guess they are going to be peacock bass!
>When you live 20 minutes away from Predatory fins and can literally just drive there "*Wrings hands followed by evil laughter*"
Its probably a dwarf freshwater whale. 🤣
Can’t wait till Sunday! Pond looks awesome
Are you going to install some underwater lights so you can see the fish??
Jordan board uhhhhhhh....... the colour of the fish will contrast against the black because of all the other lights
Awesome pond build dude, cant wait to sunday for the fish unboxing 😁
White substrate would look REALLY good!
My thoughts: White bottom nothing else. Love the pond in black. I would say so far its as if you read my mind. Fish Hmm Bass, Gar, Piranha, sharks, Cats. Cant say i know your choice of fish as yet, looking forward to them though. Great job king J

As I was watching this video my flowerhorn and Blood Parrot were lying eggs😂😂
About the substrate: many fish dislike a bright substrate due to the fact that it makes them feel exposed. This might compromise their natural behavior. You might want to reconsider and go with a natural color substrate.
Troll us and put guppies in it
375 Does look beautiful!!!!! Pond looks amazing as well, So excited for you!!!
fill it with piranhas so you can put door to door sales people in it
You know the way it is right now with the wave maker, you could just heat the water and make it a hot tub! Would be nice in the snowy winter months of Canada. : >)
Giant Gouramis, Peacock Bass, Payara, African Tigerfish, Datnoids, Paroon/Iridescent catfish, Red tail Catfish, Pacus, Shovelnose catfish... am i close? no?
"Don't look at my mess." Points at it in a few seconds for use of something else.
Are you going to meet catch em all in Florida
Piranhas 100% native environment light substrate with mangrove roots! look forward to finding out! =D You're amazing Joey!!!!!
Could also be Silver Arowana's but Peacock Bass would be better ;)
You should work a standing waterfall in the pond. Little pump, some plants on the Malaysian piece or an Aqua Decor piece angling into thenpond might look really nice
Yu Better Make Sure To Never Move Houses 😩😂
he already moved in order to buy a new house with a huge external building which he uses for fish i believe
That filtration is so attractive, I’m sure it could be made into more of a feature

100% getting dolphins 😂
Hey, awesome fish pond Don’t put any decorations in it . Just put a huge DIY emblem on the bottom, and there’s the white your looking for. Great videos I have a couple big oscars myself. I hope you put some in your pond to.
Frank
Can't wait to see new fish and completed pond
When you said "Hard hitting surface feeder" I instantly knew it was arapaima
Josh Mcdonald a way to small for such a huge fish 😉
Forget what you feed the fish, what do feed YOURSELF?! Looking like UaruHulk 👍
Don’t put the big piece of wood put many smaller ones so while they’re little they have protection. But as they grow you can change the amount of wood you have in their.
The fish are gonna be so cool!!! 🐠🔥
I think a substrate would be nice bc it would make it easier to see the fish
Joey, that date could not have been more perfect for that little convention. I am so going to buy a ticket for that event.
White sand would be cool!
You are a smart guy, I respect the fact that you understand how to keep people interested. Good job.
