- happy monday! well tuesday. well... wednesday. but lets pretend its monday yayayay ! today was a great example of what a typical day in the disney college program looks like. you wake up, go to work, come back home, and go to sleep. unfortunately some of your days are going to be filled with long shifts and all you'll wanna do is sleep, so you might not have time for the parks or anything! but not everyday is like this. so, i tried to talk a lot in this vlog and ended up touching on some dcp tips and thoughts i have had. if you like these videos where i'm just talking at you guys, rambling on about the dcp please let me know! i don't really remember what all i talked about but it might be helpful to some of you future dcpers :)
thats all for now, time to go edit yesterdays vlog and get it uploaded asap! i really am trying to stick to these daily vlogs but working + vlogging + the dcp housing wifi is not a good mixture. but i am determined to keep up with it! thank you guys for being so patient and understanding, you are the BEST!

Of course you just talking is boring, that's why it's so awesome! It doesn't feel fake and posed. It's just you being you, and it's honestly so cool. Soo many other vloggers refuse to show what their day is ACTUALLY like, even tho the title says 'a day in my life'. Their vlogs are always super exciting, but you know in the back of your mind that it's not all real.
It's so refreshing seeing someone show themselves without makup, proper lighting, and a planned out day, etc. Long story short you're doing an awesome job.
Everything you post feels genuine and honest, and I think that's why your channel blew up so quickly.
You have an awesome personality and I'm sure in person you're even better! ❤️

I'm loving these "normal" vlogs. As much as I like watching people in the parks every day but preparing for my
program I find myself looking at just day to day stuff/non-Disney things around Orlando that I have to look forward to.
And yes would 100% watch a 25-30 minute vlog! And I agree with everyone else saying they want a talk through get ready with me too.
Lo French I'm going down in about 4 days to work as a Culinary Assistant and I've never gone out of state myself before, let alone lived by myself in another state lol. So I agree that these videos are quite helpful in regards to what to expect and the like 😊

I really enjoy you just talking and showing us the "boring" sides of your day. Like most DCP vloggers only show when they are in the parks and stuff like that but I like how your showing us the real side of DCP. Cause I've always wondered about that so I'm really enjoying these vlogs

You have to buy an external hard drive disk (the best is 1 terabyte) so you can save you footage there and edit from there :) that will help!
You should listen to 'the Maria's' if you like chill music. They're honestly such a vibe

Ive been super enjoying your vlogs and they make me super stoked to start my program in the fall ♡♡ I have to vlog my program for school (but I'm also really excited to because I've also been watching DCP vlogs since high school)
But i do think it would be interesting to see a little bit of the editing process? Maybe talking about the programs or special presets you use? I love the way that you edit these and it is a bit more visually interesting than just shoving a bunch of clips together and call it a day.

I'm currently a senior in high school getting ready to graduate and I'm not sure I'll be able to do something like the dcp because of the college I am planning on attending but I love everything Disney and I would've loved to be able to do something like the dcp. suggestion: make a playlist of your dcp summer college experience from day 1 at work and till you left dcp program. i love disney, i tried applying last year as well but i got rejected, but hey its not the end of the world right? so i am going to apply again next year when i have passed and done my ged. and apply at a university where i can do hospitality management as well in US. YES i am from south africa hehe. doing a hospitality program is my dream since last year december.

Transtar... lol I was never late because of them, but when I would get off from Epcot at 9:30p I could be stuck in traffic for like 1-2 hours after just to get to Patterson 😂 sometimes I would be so annoyed I would take an Uber. Having your car is worth it.

Also when I edit on final cut, I ALWAYS make that mistake :(((( I feel so stupid! Like you, I delete files to save storage but end up deleting files in the video!! So I totallyyy get you on the struggle
Awww I am absolutely loving these vlogs!! I know the pain of your computer running out of storage while editing!! XD Do you happen to have an external hard drive? Cause if you do, that really helps! When I edit (I use FCP) I open up new projects and I set their location to the external hard drive and honestly, it saves you the hassle of deleting all this stuff and not having to worry about running out of storage all the time. And then once the video is uploaded, I just delete the whole project and that's it... it truly is so much easier than having the project saved on the computer's drive

Hey girl! First of all, I seriously love watching your videos so much!! They’re so entertaining and your genuine positivity is so refreshing!😊💖 Also, in regards to editing: I was having the same problem and I found that an amazing investment is a portable hard drive!! I personally have the Seagate 4TB hard drive and it’s AMAZING. However, all you have to do is take your Final Cut Pro file that you have on your l desktop, “copy” it, and paste it into the portable hard drive. Then, just edit all of your videos through your portable hard drive! I do this and it is SOO helpful, especially since I keep all of the raw footage from each of my videos, it gives me a place to store those as well. I also went ahead and got a 8TB hard drive that is kind of my “cloud” I guess?😂 I keep all of the finished videos, old raw footage, and backups there so it’s not taking any unnecessary space on my laptop hard drive or my portable (editing) hard drive. I feel like a portable 2-4TB hard drive would be perfect for you to edit and you won’t have to stress about losing any footage or audio!😊
ALSO!! Do NOT have your time capsule backups and Final Cut Pro library on the same portable hard drive!! I made this mistake and it literally became such a nightmare. I would have files blackout, everything would stall, and it even got to the point where I couldn’t even use the iMovie “voiceover” function. Just make sure to keep them on separate hard drives and you should be good!! I hope this helps😄💕
