At the 1:00 mark, when you fall to that platform below, do not climb up right away, but rather walk around to the left and there is a chest. It's tough to see but it is there if you look. If you climb you cannot go back down so you only have the one chance to get it.
Few corrections vulkan. The paladin does not function in any way similar to the paladian in wow. he also lacks heals and doesn't fuction as a healer (he does have a morph on one of his shield abilites that can heal but it's not really going to do enough to label him as a healer) His support comes in the form of mass shielding. his identity skill gives aoe damage buffs. So i think it's better to label him a support/dps then a healer
Same with the Gunlance he is tanky and can be played as a tank but there is no holy trinity system present in lost ark.
Smilegate has made a effort to make it so that there will eventually be a male/female counter class in the game ( the female berserker is fast apporching) So be a bit careful when talkign about the gunslinger/deadeye and striker/ward dancer, you don't want people believing that those class aren't almost exactly the same. Besides ultimates and a skill or two those classes are funtionlly the same.
Otherwise great video and i'm excited for the full launch of lost ark in a few weeks!

paladin does have a big aoe moving heal which was the meta build, but ofc he paladin isn't a "healer" but i would say more of a healer than bard
Been waiting for North America release since this game was announced, but never tried out Russian/Korean version since then. But I am glad we are all hyped for it.
I watched a lot of guides that I wasn't even able of getting to the end of it, what to say about absorbing the huge amount of information... Great video, man! Super accessible for those, like me, who are waiting for the game but haven't played it yet for whatever reason...! Loved it!
Great vid, and the skill cap sounds like it will get me hooked. I love that its not just button mashing but combos and unlocks or button holds.

I would like to see more in depth into classes gameplay.
Just for clarification because I know a lot of people will be pondering about this: Regarding the Assassin Advanced classes - The description in the video was not really that accurate, so to avoid misunderstandings just know this: Shadowhunter is a mid-ranged based class, that uses a lot of projectiles, paired with "demonic"-infused arts that fill up your Demon-Bar. Once filled up you can unleash a "berserker"-mode for a couple of seconds. Deathblade is actually not that "pure" of an Assassin-class (ina traditional sense); it's more the Warrior-type class. Got a lot of CC, mobility and Burst at it's disposal but NO stealth-based mechanics. If you want to play the actual typical archetype of a rogue-class you need to wait for the "Reaper"-class. Wielding one dagger and coming with all the typical stuff you'd expect from a rogue.

February has WAYYYYYYYYY too many games. Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Dying Light 2, Lost Ark, just to name a few. What the fuck man? Really wish something came out this month or in March.

Big skill bar is a huge selling point for me. So tired of the "unlock 30 skills, can only use 3 at a time" restrictions. Too many times, it ends up making you use only the same 3 all the time, with all the cool niche skills for specific situations never being used because they're never on your skill bar when the occasions come up.
The character in Lost Ark looks like a freaking badass compared to most MMORPG and ARPG characters. I don't mean the look, per se, but the moves that your character pulls off are badass. (I realize they are scripted, but they still rock)
Fully agree with you, and don't forget the tripod system can totally change abilities too!
Well even tho characters look good game doesnt have enough default armors . 6 armor set from level 1 to max. You will get used to the looks in a week unfo.
I am actually slowly getting excited for this. This might be the first MMO that I will play again since ages... (like Wow first expansion).
Especially happy that it is NOT like Diablo, although I am curious what the grind will be like in this one as it is an Asian rpg.

Thank you for making it clear in beginning that the only similarity between ARPG's and LA is the camera angle. I really don't like the comparison to ARPG's as it is more akin to MOBA like LoL but its much slower, reminds me of battlerite feel but with much more complicated abilities. People keep parroting miss information in regards to many things in LA and i've been enjoying it for quite some time now.
I play with 120 ping and find it quite comfortable, there are a few instances where the lag does affect me but for people who think they will have higher ping in western launch it shouldn't be a problem unless you are like 100+.
Is the founders pack available already on steam? For some reason when I'm trying to click buy on steam from the website it directs me to an error page on steam.
What time of the day is this releasing? Midnight? Morning? Hoping morning time.
Really wish the scout/machinist was available at launch, I'll make do with the artillerist. Love the futuristic weapon classes.
I think they did that on purpose, scout is one of the classes mostly used in Korea to funnel resources to their main. He's easy to set-up and quite cheap. So i'd say keep one spot free for him.

Steam is the only option. You can purchase a founder's pack via the amazon website (so, outside of Steam), but that will get tied to Steam as well.

Amazing mmo.
I'm currently level 42 Destroyer on Russian server, a class that is not included in the West release sadly. My opinion of the game is as follows: Combat is amazing and I did play Black Desert, is that good. Pvp is fair because equilized gear. I'm not a religious person so the story is Okay for me, still better than most mmo's, cutscenes and voice acting kept my attention. Lvl 1-35 content is easy, Lvl 35-50 content is medium, I was told that end game is hard and that lvl 1-50 is just like a long tutorial. I love the game aestethics, it's really beautiful, but top down camera angle does hurt immersion quite a bit, I got used to it but if this game wasn't isometric it could be the best on the market right now.
So it's like other mmo where the real game starts at endgame.

Combat doesn't look too good like when you hit something there's not a good reaction compared to games like Last Epoch or Diablo that's my only gripe with the game. Regardless i'll be buying it though

You can die all depends on your gearscore.
Is movement controlled with mouse clicks or the keyboard? Cause I suck trying to use the keyboard for movement WHILE using the # Keys for spells lol (obviously primarily a console gamer, new to the Master Race of Gaming 😂)

I am a console player. Never played mouse and keyboard and Prolly never will. I had an ok pc and played about 38 hours on the beta using an Xbox controller. I loved it. I bought a good gaming laptop just for release. I will most likely main this game.
The long range abilities are a bit tough to get used to on controller. I feel like melee classes will feel better and more natural initially. I played striker. I will definitely try more builds later but I will stay on controller (I also changed some buttons around in the menu, it took maybe an hour or so to get comfortable with).
Mouse clicks. It has some decent controller support but that will be difficult for late game content.

There's no trinity in lost ark, or even better to say it's more like a soft trinity. There are two (and a half) supports in the game currently - the bard and the paladin. The bard is a more defensive support that supplies heals, shields, stuff like that. The paladin is slightly more offensive supplying very very light heals, but good shields and longer uptime on damage buffs in general.
Similarly, there's no tank, but there are tankier classes such as the Gunlancer and Artillerist. The gunlancer has a certain build that allows it to feel like a support via shielding allies in a pinch.
Everyone contributes dps and buffs to the party/debuffs to enemies though.
Is the PvP just arena?? If so kinda disappointing 😔

Wrong info in the case of Holy trinity... there are no tanks, healer per se. The gunlancer sure has more defensive abilities but he is not a meat shield for the team. There are only damage dealers and some kind of supportive classes. aka paladin and bard... that can deal good (not best) damage also.
understand there is no movement in this game except for right click mouse, and space bar dash. Its not my thing.

So this game is an MMORPG and not an ARPG. Yet in this video it doesn't just share the visual presentation of a Diablo-clone, it appears to play like one and have skill building like one as well.
You mention that the game objectives (before endgame) are a mix of linear story quests and side quests. ARPG's have both those quest types, tho.
I dunno, its just that I've prepared to expect something different from an ARPG -- so I could better enjoy this when it drops -- but now I'm having difficulty seeing just what about it is so different from an ARPG except for maybe more co-op and pvp aspects.
Has a lot of typical MMO stuff like guilds, partying with friends, 4 person raids, 8 person raids, normalized competitive arena pvp (normal and ranked), open world pvp, collectables, auction house markets and trading. Etc. You will see much more of this once you have cleared the story leveling, but you are open to do a bunch of stuff before that as well.

"Gender locks" in Lost Ark is a bit of a misnomer. Each gender has a unique set of its own advanced classes. Male Martial Artist is a completely different set of advanced classes than the Female Martial Artist. They aren't just mirrors or "not-gender-locked," but the advanced classes are completely different skills, combat, skill progression options, animations, weapon types, etc. In the West, when we hear "gender locks," we have a different concept than what Lost Ark is doing. When they eventually add the missing genders to the current archtype classes, you still will not be able to play the Paladin or Berserker as a female, or the Bard or Summoner as a male character. It's the first MMO I've ever seen where same gender on same archtype is actually a completely different set of classes.
Seriously people, do yourself a favor if you’re going to play this..learn it for yourself..talk about sucking the fun of discovery out of stuff…

Supposedly dead game new world still has 100k concurrent players, it will take a year+ to kill the population if it fails because this is a legit triple A game. Its different to no name games like elyon bless and other korean games.

You know wat i'm from South Africa and we wont get it either but i don't give a fuck any more because i'm use to it by now i actually bought the platinum BDO founder pack only to find out it was non refundable and it would not be released in South Africa and a lot of games are like that i just don't support those kind of games at all i would rather play POE then LA if it's going to be like that i don't know i bought WOW in 2004 played it until 2014 when WOD came out moved over to FFXIV played it until 2021 i own ESO and GW2 and non of them was region locked there are other games i have spent money on to but its way to many to name and most of them aren't region locked the thing is most big companies don't give a fuck about the smaller consumer countries its all about the money and not about the players only companies that give a fuck about there community aren't region locked the way these companies like Amazon does it is by making a graft with statistics to see how well it would sell if it does not meet the bench mark thy simply wont give a fuck its mostly the way Amazon operates and its why i don't use companies like Amazon because thy just don't give a crap about the people its why New World is such a failure and dead not even 2 months in and why companies like Square Enix are successful but that's just my opinion

I don't understand all the hype over this game.
The character animations and ability animations are so over-the-top and obnoxious. It also looks way too colourful, like I'm being reminded of Diablo 3, which I don't consider a good thing.
And why do most of the abilities stun/freeze/group up the mobs, then make them pause for half a second, then repeat every 0.5 sec like one bone in their body is breaking at a time? Looks extremely silly and ridiculous, sorry
There is no endgame in lost ark . I ve played russian version and went up to start of endgame content. You are starting with approx 250 gearscore and game continues up to 1000 gearscore in order to reach that you are gonna need at least 6months unlessssss:
You just give 30-60 euros and purchase boost to directly 900 gearscore wualaa

Because the server has fuckn 2+ years, as lost ark content is time gated, a player that starts today would never play alongside a friend who started 3 months ago without the boost. I was looking forward to playing Lost Ark for a few years. However, after playing the most recent US beta I was very disappointed in the game.
It's a cheaply made game with design consistency, poor regional translations, esteric design element, and is full of SE Mobile MMO nonsense. Egregious cash shop, skill bloat, bizarre naming conventions, no sense of tone, poor voice acting, and the gameplay is shallow grinding BS.
This is a niche product at best.
It's a rly fun game once you get the Legion Raids and the 4-8 man contents for PvE fans and nice challenging PvP for those players who are into that. When it comes to MMOs this is currently hands down the best one I've ever played. I like to rly only play one single game and this 1 fills my needs.
Looks like a glorified phone game
