Fantastic! I work alone and have been learning nvivo from tutorials etc. Found this presentation by Dr. Adu and my ability to perform my qualitative assignment skyrocketed. Now i can actually see the power of the software, whereas before I just saw it as a unique form of torture. I would highly recommend this video AFTER you have familiarized yourself with software , and BEFORE you import docs for your study. You will dramatically increase your efficiency, and clarify the overview of where you are going. If this is your intro to software, you will miss a lot of Dr. Adu's important methodological insight. Thank you so much Dr. Adu.
I am just started using Nvivo and I was looking for video that could help me get started. I watched a lot of tutorials already, but this was the first one that actual helped me out instead of making me more confused than I already am about this software. Thank you sir!
Thank you soo much for this Prof Adu. I can't thank you enough. Your explanations are easy to follow, especially for a first time qualitative analyst :-) . God Bless you
Very informative and appreciated. One thing is that the display is for NVivo 10, which has some differences from NVivo 11... but the focus is informative.
Once again thanks for your detailed step-by-step tutorial. Likewise I have mentioned earlier it would be great if you could enable the auto-subtitling feature to help hearing impaired users to understand your lecture. One more thing, may I know what is the difference between Part 1 and Part 2? It seems that these lectures deliver the same type of content but the only different is that you use different version of nVivo. I do not see any new things in Part 2 which I thought that it was an extension of Part 1. I think your Part 1 video focuses on the features of nVivo 10 while Part 2 on nVivo 11. I am wondering whether you could provide any lecture on Mac nVivo 11 which I am currently using. For your consideration, as well.
Dear Professor Adu, Thank you for the great presentation and invaluable tutorial. I have inquiry about coding sources (PDF file) as a case node. Would this will created a highlight for the whole PDF? For my trail, when choosing "highlight coding for all node", the PDF file was highlighted the whole document. I am not sure what caused this because I didn't code all text in that PDF. I would be appreciated your advice. Thank you.
Thanks very much. Excellent tutorial. Dr. Adu, I am woring with Mandarin Chinese text. Would I be able to use functions, such as word frequency, maxtrics. ect. with Nvivo 11 for Mac? I ran a trial and it seemed those functions mentioned only worked for English text. Many many thanks.
Thank you Dr. Adu. This is a great tutorial and presentation. I wish I have found it earlier. Could you please help with my inquiry below. Why a source-predefined classification is double a number of sources (when importing sources from RIS files)? How can this issue be solved? Thank you

Hi Dr Adu, thanks for the great video. All my data is mainly in audio format. Is the best process to first transcribe then move to the analysis? or would you recommend I just continue with audio?
HI Rudzani, I'm transcribing interviews and I've discovered that there is so much material to discover. It seems to get rushed over when I'm listening, but I discovering it when I transcribed. Also Nvivo can make word clouds and do analyses of written words but not audio. that's my experience.
Hi Rudzani I have transcribed inside Nvivo, which allows you to listen to the audio at any speed. Also Nvivo marks the time on the transcript as you stop and start the recording. This lets you easily match transcript with recording.
Yes, it is NVivo 10. I used NVivo 10 for the part 1 of the presentation and NVivo 11 for part 2 and 3. I made the title the same to make it easy to find the remaining presentations. Thanks Dr. Gibbs!!

You need to show examples in the actual program as you're talking for this to be useful.
I provided examples in part 2 of the presentation: th-cam.com/video/6tuY-4HYrQk/w-d-xo.html
Need better explanation
