I got the mustang gt and the formula 1 car, I was thinking about doing this as the bodies look very detailed, I might try the way you did it.

@@EdwardChew from Australia, its from the Shell service stations and they release 1 car every couple of weeks so I've only got 2. The ford nascar sold out real quick but there are piles of the mustang. Has a good weight for a small rc, I almost thought it was metal.

the body is diecast metal, chassis is plastic.
I have my Bmw gt3 car that will have the same stuff inside of it. Just because drifting is fun.

I'm new to this hobby, are the tyres replaceable? Something is wrong with mine and the rides are bumpy. Or is it fixable?
Nope. Wheel and tires are formed as one. Is it the hyundai i20? Remove the body then look closely at the tire, there are burr, cut it away
Shoot. I separated the tyre to look for the fault, guess I gotta glue them back somehow. And yes it's the i20, expecting it to be zippy based on the wheelbase length compared to the other model
@@zackcamly yea friend complain the same thing to me for his i20. Then when I got mine, it's bumpy, I look at the tire and found the reason. Yeah it's more Zippy than the others. So I prefer the "stableness" of the bmw m4 and transferred electronics over
Can the tires be removed? 2 of my cars have a problem with the front wheels. It is hard to turn. My other cars if I spin the front wheels with my finger it will spin for a few 2-3 seconds before it stops. But the 2 cars with the problems, the tires only spin less then 1 sec before stopping. I can also feel resistance when trying to spin the wheels.
I tried spraying with WD40, but it only helps a little. I tried removing the tires so I can remove the metal rod but it seems to be stuck or glued to the wheels.
a. they are molded as one. u can split it by force
b. well all their cars have trouble to turn
c. add oil btw wheel and the knuckle
d. the wheel can actually be removed from the metal rod. just need force :D
@@EdwardChew I guessed that the wheels can be removed from the metal rod. But the problem with the front wheels are that the rod is so short, it barely goes through the knuckles. So it is very difficult to remove it without possibly breaking the plastic knuckles.
I already oiled the rod and tried to get the oil spreading through the knuckles. But like I said earlier it doesn't help much.
My only other option is to find a new knuckles for the cars. Are there any where that I can buy these parts?
Another weird thing that I noticed is that this problems are onlu happening to the formula 1 style cars. The mustang and the normal type cars don't have this problems.
@M.D. F I use a cutter to squeeze the gap btw the flat side of the rod and the knuckle.
The oil cannot be too thick one ya
Shell designed them so no compatible knuckle. Unless you can 3d print
@M.D. F my f1 car has steering issue due to the steering motor gearing issue. It's not meshing properly
