    ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a TH-cam channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on TH-cam, we're not RV dealers or full-timers -- we're weekend warriors just like you!
We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

She is!! I'd love to have her more involved in the channel, but she's painfully camera shy. If you've got a way to trick her into appearing on camera more often, I'm all ears. ;) Love that you're binging the vids -- thank you so much!! We'll be back on the road very soon, now that both winter and ski season are winding down here.

It was indeed, Angela. I was outside the truck shooting video as I waited for the ferry, and Frosty was there with two others, all clearly geared up for an extended bike tour. After about one minute of talking with the guy I realized my good fortune and asked to let the camera roll.

It's pronounced "skwim" ... not see-quim. The local folks will always be willing to help you with pronunciation.
And there are tons of boondocking campsites in Washington, please don't denigrate what you haven't researched. You just had free camping with free electricity ... why are you saying Washington doesn't have that?
Ha! :-) and yes you certainly did mis-name and mispronounce S'Kallam nation. Learn! It's part of traveling, yes?
    I'ts not Juan de "fooooca" ... it's "fyu-ca".
I love your video production ... really so professionally done. Very impressive.
Rialto Beach and La Push are stunning and so seldom included in travel videos. Thank you for covering them so nicely in the video and with beautiful music.
Really nice info about the National Park on the peninsula. And great video! :-) Thank you!

This was a great video. My Uncle lived up there and invited me to come up and check out this beautiful State. I was just out of High School then and now wish I had taken him up on the offer. He lived a full life, growing up in Nebraska, serving in the Navy during WWII was at Pearl Harbor when attacked and went on to retire after over twenty years. Later became a longshoreman made a fortune and owned a couple of charter boats plus a bar. He talked about the outdoors all the time up there. If he had a video like yours I would be living there. Your videos are outstanding. I bet it is not easy to only put so much into your video on what you see. Good job. Keep them coming.

It looked like you had a nice break in the weather once you got over to the peninsula. I thought you might head up to Hurricane Ridge from Port Angeles, which takes you way up to a great high lookout to see the Olympic Mountains up close and personal. You probably would not have wanted to go with a trailer however.
I remember the last time I went out to Cape Flattery, it seemed to take forever to get there. There is an Indian tribe that lives in Neah Bay that is allowed to go out and kill one whale per year. Sixteen years living in Washington and I never went into the Hoh Rainforest! Enjoyed Frosty; makes me think I’m a couch potato compared to him. Envious of all his travels by bike!

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Frosty was a character, that's for sure. We thought about Hurricane Ridge, but as you surmised we were reluctant to bring the trailer up there, or take the time to drop it. Indeed, we were very, very fortunate with the weather while on the Olympic Peninsula.

It's pay both ways. We boarded the ferry in Whidbey Island.

That's typically the case on Forest roads, and our plan of attack for our upcoming Sierra leg.

Hey Guido. Great video! You actually do video panning slowly enough that it's comfortable to watch which is unusual on the internet. thank you!
But ... could you please learn how to pronounce names of places before you say them on the video? It isn't Ehh-bee ... it is EEE-beee ... more specifically, it's EEE-bee's Landing, Ebey's Landing.
Also, when you were at the ferry landing from Whidbey to the peninsula, you were not in Coupeville.
And ... maybe more importantly ... a whole lot of your viewers aren't "guys" ... we are "gals". Would you please change how you talk so you include women? Women are not guys! Ha, you know the difference between guys and gals, right?
And, in the end, your videos are terrific. I've been watching for quite a while and will continue. Travel on!! :-)
