That hair is the reason why I decided not to get her. It’s so sad that so many Barbie dolls with pastel hair nowadays get that low quality hair, encause two or three years ago it wasn’t like that, with the old Dreamtopia dolls, for example. I hope Mattel fixes that soon... Anyways, I loved the make-over, she looks great, congratulations!! ☺️

Going to use Candy Pop Grape nylon hair for her, I use that on some of my Rainbow High custom dolls (it take three large packs plus four medium packs to do a Rainbow High doll or six large packs if doing two colours for a Rainbow High doll) it only takes a small pack to do a Barbie doll head.
Hey Barbination! Thank you for making this video! I had good luck with her hair by using warmth water + fabric softener and gentle brushing. Her crimp is intact and now her gorgeous, lavender hair is much softer and doesn't have the tangley feel it did to start. I feel like her texture can't handle a boil wash. Hope that helps you as this video helped me! XOXO

I got my first Barbie extra doll today and I am quiet shocked at how atrocious the hair quality is. I'm genuinely considering a re-root I dislike it that much. The end result in the video looks great!
Hey I suggest you put her hair into concentrated fabric softner and warm water for 24 hours, then shampoo condition, rinse, boil wash a bit to calm it down, then rinse and put a bid of a leave in conditioner, brush and trim the ends. Trimming is extremely important for a polished look. Try it out😊
Sad that extra #6 is the cutest one so far but her hair quality is doo doo 😩 waiting for her to go on sale because I know I only want her for her clothes and I’d rather not spend so much on a glorified fashion pack lol

I only have #5, and I haven’t unboxed her and probably won’t touch the braids because my hair skills are limited.
Well the weird thing is that the hair quality on number 5 is also not the best but still WAY better than this girls hair 🙈🙃 haha but if you don’t trust your hair skills.. my advice: Leave it! 😂 it’s quite a challenge if when you love hairplay 🙈🥲
Hello have you tried a spray bottle and straightener in really low heat? Its helpful for me in fixing this type of hair but you have to be careful and take your time.
@@Barbination just get a cheep straightner with heat settings' i got one at a thrift store for 2 dollars. Ive herd adding softner to the water helps' just start low and slowly increse to find the right temperature. Test on the bottom of the hair incase you dont know the hair fiber. Good luck!
