    It has the same Problem like the Alesis Samplepad:
    When hitting two adjacent pads at exactly the same time, only one gets triggered. I am not even a drummer, why is nobody else noticing this?
    If you are using it to extend your acoustic drumset, you are fine, but if you are trying to use it alone you are doomed.
    Greetings from Schleswig Holstein.

      This is the review I was looking for. Thank you. Almost made me go for it but I have the alesis samplepad and maaaan it sucks because that particular reason...
      I am a drummer and sometimes, (like all drummers do)I need to hit two adjacent pads at once just because the music asks for it.
      Worth mentioning that if this is like the alesis sample pad, then please stay away from trying to use a highr sensitivity on those pads...
      they might just trigger because of harder vibrations on big stages.
      Your comment should be more visible. Again, thank you and I hope everybody will read your comment before buying.

      Are two midi notes still sent? I'm thinking about buying this to control other gear and I don't really care whether the internal sounds are triggered or not.

    For the price I would use this for triggering sounds from superior drummer or for programming midi. I don’t care for the stock sounds too much. I would probably never use them maybe with the exception of the more electronic sounding ones.

    Thanks for the good review! I have a question. You said that you have the possibility to have 50 own kits where u can put your own samples on. But on other reviews of the Millenium NonaPad there is always talked about 20. This makes for me the difference if I buy it or not because I can just use 8 own kits on my Alesis pad and I need to fix more kits for a whole live show (for every song one kit). Would be great to know that! Best greetings Michael

    Do you think the device is suitable for live concerts? Especially when you need to quickly change the setting? How does it compare to the Roland SPD-SX?

    • @spasevrp
      @spasevrp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This multi pad takes some features from the spd 30 and spd sx but it cannot compete beyond those features. For example real time efx, adjusting the tempos on loops in real time, and recording and saving your own samples in real time are beyond what this low cost pad is able to do. But adding additional pedals to create a kit, using the onboard sounds and loops, ability to add your own sounds to create your own kits, and ability to connect it to computer are where a low cost pad like this one will really shine. All depends what you are looking for in a multi pad. For the simplicity of use and cost of this pad is a really good deal though.

    Sorry for asking here. How do I have to configure the NanoPad if I want to use it with its MIDI output using layers A and B? As it is configured from the factory it does not work. The pad allows you to assign notes to layer A and layer B different notes, but the DAW only receives the note assigned to layer A. Thanks.

    I'm really interesting to buy this because it fits in my budget but I'm wondering if it's possible to import drum one shots via usb stick. Is that possible ? I'm currently using an old Roland SPD 20 with MIDI > Macbook and I want to get rid of it tho.

      @eDrumsInANutshell ปีที่แล้ว

      I also like pad that are able to reproduce a large dymnamic range.
      I use the Gear4Music version.
      So, here it, one you set the threshold, sensitivity and curve you get a nice responsiveness.
      Without the theses settings, its actually a bit hot.
      I only used it for MIDI out into some VSTs and there was latency issue only for the MIDI out notes.
      I contacted HXW Music and two weeks later they released a new firmware version 2.26.
      And now there is no more noticeable latency!

    I find it remarkable that in 2024, when memory in mass products is traded in Giga- and terrabytes, manufacturers have the nerve to crank out products with 128 Megabite of user-sample usable memory.

      My take on these things is that they're fine for auxiliary stuff, but they're relatively noisy compared to dedicated e-drum pads, and you don't have as much MIDI flexibility. Hi-hats and cymbals are pretty basic: you're not going to get a solid Jo Jones swing hi-hat groove.
