- The gullible comics take part in another selection of challenges, highlights of which include Sarah Millican flailing about with a frying pan, Fern Brady enjoying the power of a spiky plant and Munya Chawawa pulling off a spectacular billiards shot. In addition, all five contestants spend far too much time searching for a bath, considering the size of the bath.

In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - ตลก
John ditching his jacket before each task is an underrated bit. Almost as good as Acaster never greeting Alex
I’ve been living for that but the whole series.
@@brandonwordmusicyou’ve been living for john’s butt lol?
I like it, but Acaster's ignoring Alex is better because it eventually got under Alex's skin. "why don't you ever say hi?" ... "it's not on the task is it?"
@@robertluong3024I was disappointed that Alex never added it to a task
Alice Levine greeting Alex with a pet name was actually superb. In his personal life, Alex is really awkward with women. Alice is friends with Alex's wife, and I bet they concocted this little scheme with these flirty pet names just to mess with him.
Sarah's face when she realizes that she caused the smell with the milk is just great. 😀
She could have at least two replies to the insinuation:
1. Alex made the task, and he didn't say not to pour out the milk, so in the end she was just trying to solve the task in the best way possible within the rules. In this case, Alex is the cause.
2. Sarah poured out the milk, yes, but Alex and the crew resolved to clean it up. They failed to do so completely. Alex hired the crew. Thus, in this case, Alex is the cause.
In both of these cases, in the end Sarah is only the middlewoman. Alex was the true cause of the spilled milk.
I rest my case.
@@JaimeNyx15also once it was obvious she planned on pouring it, he could’ve told her abt the catching bucket thing
Can't explain why but John stepping into the caravan and whipping the balloons has similar unhinged energy to Romesh throwing the watermelon on the ground
John isn't a balloon man.
episode 7 all that pent up rage has to get released.
😂😂😂 That’s so spot on. He was like a drunk abusive dad with 100 balloon children.
luckily cameras had stopped rolling when John started throwing up though
@@jacobsmith-hi6ey they can match only each other for undeniable sexual frustration and unmet sexual desires
John casually and silently popping into the lab with the fake chicken after they lost the feather has got to be one of the oddly funniest things I’ve seen in all 14 seasons of this show.
John has a very particular skill set where he's really good at making things collide in airports. It's probably a good thing he didn't become a pilot.
This is hilarious
Nonsense, John would be instrumental in keeping the other pilots on their toes
It's a good thing that he didn't, he would have worn a sailor's hat instead.
He'd be crashing into mountains.
@@stephendavis6267But only in helicopters.
Greg slowly taking off his glasses, handing them to Alex, and Alex putting them on is peak comedy.
Timestamp?
@@mommamug 37:09
Alex actually looked very good with Greg's glasses on!
I had actually missed that the first time. Thanks for pointing it out!
@@mommamug do you ppl that ask for timestamps of the best parts just not watch the episode or something? lmfao
23:41 Dara's face when Fern claims to have come up with the system of endless plates, in spite of the fact that it was clearly his idea (with him being the one to triumphantly bring in lots of paper plates), is hilarious.
Wait…what?
And also his face when they blamed themselves (Fern and John), when it was also Dara who lost the feather.
He knew *exactly* what he had done, but he figured he would work better to just stay quiet and let Fern and John talk themselves into being guilty.
It really was as much her idea if not more, watch it back. Dara brings in the dust pan and two packs of plates in the wrapper and leaves with the feather before even considering unwrapping the package of plates. Then they fail as Fern is unwrapping the plates because Dara hadn't counted on each object having a total time limit, he thought it reset when it left the dustpan...Dara brought the plates to the room, Fern realized their full potential. Plus I think the face (in-studio) was more reacting to the over-the-top phrasing with a minor dash of dismay for not getting mentioned for plates in the first place.
Kind of enjoying this new dynamic of the show where people realize they can ask for Alex's help but sometimes he'll lean hard into the character and become a liability
I could swear John Kearns is a traveler from another universe who doesn't know how he got here and is just trying to blend in.
"Do you HAVE a fridge magnet, Greg ?"
Greg: "No"
"OH !"
YES, I’ve been saying that to myself for episodes 😂
A veritable Ford Prefect, if you will...😂😂😂
31:56 Fern's distraught "oh nooooo" is the narrative foil to Chris Ramsey's "no way!"
Wait, what? 😂
in the first episode of the series she misses a bunch dropping the loo roll into the loo and goes "ohh noo" the same way as here every time she misses and i also thought of Chris's "no way!"
“When I grew up in the 70s, we weren’t allowed to have self-confidence” killed me 😅
I'm always freshly left in shock & awe when Munya says under his breath "What they don't know won't hurt em." 😧
He's come across as a little low in respect for the show since day 1 tbh
@@user-so2fp8tz9o eh he's not that bad. I think also cheating wise it's the same level as Tim key 😂
It was a bold move to cheat after *explicitly telling Alex to lay down and look directly at you* as part of the task.
I want "knappett" to become the official term for a broad runway attached to a stage, so the etymology writers in 200 years time have to/get to explain Taskmaster.
I legitimately thought it was just the British term for it until I saw it spelled out that way 😂
Ohhhh ... is this referring to the incident with Jessica knappet?😂😂
Amazing idea
Love that the editors added in the sound of billiard balls to the exercise balls.
No that's how they sound
"power of a thousand ancestors" might go down as my favorite task master moment this series
nah, it'd have to be Alex telling Munya to ask for a few more ancestors.
@@benzaiten933 I consider that to be part of the overall moment but absolutely a great response either way
Totally agree... I laughed so hard.
I want a supercut of every time John touches his face with a wry little grin, and every time he throws his jacket at the start of a task.
Here's hoping that's part of the John's Best Bits compilation
14:24 the shot of him walking up to the caravan with the belt and throwing his jacket looked so menacing. That was a man who was ready to murder some balloons
Never wearing his jacket and always throwing it nonchalantly was definitely meant to be a bit.
27:40 John and Munya's developing bromance is lovely
John coming in with the chicken and fading out..😂😂sweet😅
Reminded me of Ardal walking in with chickens in the duck task.
Heh. Alex and Sarah mouthing and doing charades to acknowledge it was Sarah dumping milk all over the lab floor. Now it's pumpy. 🤓
Clearly the double post of the previous episode was just to make certain we had fresh in our minds exactly what Sarah had done to the lab
Feather Lostgate was maybe one of the funniest things I have ever seen! I think my neighbors could hear me laughing because I was laughing so hard!
I’m almost positive Dara was the one that lost it. And it almost looks like he noticed it fall off his dustpan at the time, but he definitely forgot by the time he got back to the lab because there is no way he would waste so much time looking for it just for a laugh.
I agree with you.
I find it so funny John wanted to be contained so whomever he was to maim couldn't get away, the little bear
I have said it before, and I will say it again: it was Dara himself who lost the feather, as can be seen at 20:45 . Justice for Fern and John!
That's what I was wondering too 😅 he was holding the dust pan last and they probably didn't realize until that moment that the feather could not touch items it'd already come into contact with for more than 5 seconds all together, also I don't want to say fern invented the endless* plate system but she was the first to grab them (when John had the spatula and Dara had the dust pan and plastic container) and it probably inspired their later system, it's still all so funny regardless 🤣
Yes! and you can even see the feather falling down if you look closely! It is hard to see against the white background and it's possible that Dara himself didn't notice it; he looks down and even hesitates but perhaps he looked just a second too late.
But I agree, the moment they collectively realize the feather is missing is too funny 😂 I just feel bad for Fern and John for simply assuming it must have been their fault when it wasn't!
He saw it drop, then just left it. Look at his face
@@HHh-ej4rl it looks like it, but maybe he just saw something in the corner of his eye and the feather had already slipped away by the time his eyes caught up? Idk...
Sarah was really funny in the studio segments. " Like a real life boy." Good stuff.
"for children, yup"
"for children, yup"
“for children, yup”
"for children, yup"
"for children, yup"
I wasn’t sure about the cast when this season started, but it’s definitely one of my favorites now! The chemistry between everyone is so hilarious in the team tasks.
Series 13’s cast was so amazing that I felt the same. But I love this cast! They are so hilarious and sassy! Fern is my absolute favorite though!
I was only excited about this cast because of Dara. I'm a yank, and I'm not very familiar with all of the UK's comics.
@@andrewgehling6566 I'm unfamiliar with 90% of the contestants on this show and every time I see amazing people I wasn't aware of before. Knowing them before or not shouldn't matter for your enjoyment I think.
& for once Greg isn't ruining it by picking favorites & least favorites from the start. YAY!
@@choosecarefully408yes Greg is definitely ruining the show… and definitely not one of the main reasons people watch the show 🤦♀️🤪😂
John, Sarah and Fern might be some of my favourite contestants of all time, the energies are so different and yet so chaotically similar, John peaking through the lab curtain with the chicken actually killed me
I honestly feel in love with Sarah when she mouthed sorry to Alex when she realized it was her fault the Lab smelt pompy
Munya pulling a Series 1 Tim Key in another great Taskmaster shakeup.
Munya channels Tim Key while John, as another comment here says, really channels Romesh with that balloon popping task. Love to see the legacy of series 1 living on.
"The power of a thousand ancestors!" I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time!
Sarah's face when miming her milk-pouring experience is adorable! She looks so pleased with herself, and I love it.
When they compared the completion times between the two teams I couldn’t help the guffaw that escaped me, so FUNNY
I adore how the crew re-use things again later; seeing John's AHOY hat showing up on all the contestants in the next season while piloting their barge was brilliant. Reminded me of Phil Wang's impossible-to-open box that showed up in the find-the-ducks task a couple series later. Brilliant folks.
I actually bought the car-thing Sarah brought in, because of her presentation 🙈. Easily influenced 😂
I have a seatbelt cutter but I’m so tempted to upgrade now.
For everyone reading this: there is also a small handy version that can be kept on the key ring with the car key. In case of a crash it doesn't get thrown around, but can be easily reached at the ignition
Sarah gets lovelier at this series goes on.
such fun it would be for a sit down, a bottomless biscuit barrel and a brew with Sarah, she saved a lot of people during lockdown by reading her book. She's an Angel.
Munya and john seems have become friends as this goez on
"Power of a thousand ancestors" is just perfect. I love how Greg can't handle it
Either they hadn't done it or I didn't notice before that they'd named the thrust bit in memoriam of Jessica Knappett's tragic fall in series 7. Hero and legend for all time.
oh yeah they’ve been calling the thrust “the Knappett” for some time now. it’s amazing.
john is such a wild card coz everything about him makes u feel like hes gonan do the worst but somehow his sad but meticulus way of doing the tasks work
I know I'm not the only one that can't decide who is more endearing between Sarah and Fern. The whole cast is great this season but those two just make me smile.
Knowing nothing about anyone in this series except Dara, I was expecting him to be my sole favourite the entire time, but instead I love them all. I think it really is one of, if not the greatest casts of the show.
Honestly Sarah's face when she realizes gives me life 😂
I'm falling in love with Munya more and more with every single episode...
Why is he the best, most endearing and fun person in the world ?
Woo! Let's go! I'm so happy they upload this for everyone outside the UK.
I can't get over Fern's accent. It is so thick it could be spread on toast.
A quick translation for non-Brits: BAIRN = child (in Scotland and Northern England).
When Sarah came up with the plate system and gave it up to Munya's pipe system, it was because of Munya's face of childlike enthusiasm. She says, "It's like having a bairn, I imagine..."
Sarah has made multiple kid jokes this season. In the laminator task, Munya bragged about his technology skills and his PS5, and Sarah asks, "What's a PS5?". Greg explains, "Playstation" and Sarah dryly remarks, "Oh, for children".
And with the She-Wee, she explains to Fern that she can pee on the toilet seat like a little boy...
Sarah doesn't have kids and is honest about not wanting kids, so it's super cute that she can make people laugh about the "children" in this cast (Fern, Munya, and John) who are conveniently seated in between their two elders (Dara & Sarah).
Thank you for the translation! :)
It's somewhat crazy for me to realise that 'et barn' is 'a kid' in Danish (most likely in all other north Germanic languages too), and thanks to this knowledge and to the context I did understand what was going on in that moment of the series.
Also, an interesting example to point out on how certain conservative parts have remained in certain parts of the Isles. Thanks for bringing it up.
My native language is Ukrainian btw.
This is easily one of the most entertaining episodes of Taskmaster ever! Love all of the tasks, especially the balloon popping one!
Love Sarah, her variety of laughs and giggles make me so happy.
Dear Little Alex Horne please compile the best Taskmaster laughs
It's always disappointing that the majority of the stage tasks end prematurely.
Yeah! They should have made sure that platform more level... woulda helped maybe
they're always such fun! they should have chosen less bouncy items/balls. perhaps stuff like a satsuma and stress ball and the ilk. you know a ping pong ball and beach ball will likely roll right off anyway.
@@benzaiten933 To be fair, the task said nothing about altering the balls. deflate beach ball + leaf blower, crush ping pong ball + any blow, etc.
@@ThomasWingeti was definitely thinking they should take a bit of air out of the beach ball
Yeah, they should allocate the points and then let the contestants just try again for laughs.
Munya and Sarah's take at the feather task nearly did me in. :-D
They’re a delightful team, putting them together was perfect.
One reason I like this show is that I get to learn all sorts of interesting British terminology for various random things, like "five-bar gates" for tally marks, or "pumpy" for....well. :P
The man/woman responsible for the feather task being wordless is a genius and I love them.
P.S. 21:16 I nearly died, it's an absolutely Diogenean scene
Greg Davies and Alex Horne pretending to ride in a car making fun of his sailors hat was hilarious. “Look at this prick.”
The montage work on "Bouncy fun location task" is chef's kiss.
5 Bar Gates is a term I have never heard in my life until this moment.
I have rewatched series 14 so many times, I’ve lost count!
7:03 Greg: “It’s a fairly pessimistic thing to take with you, isn’t it?”
Sarah: “It’s not … I think it’s positive. If it was pessimistic, I would just be like, ah well, dead now” 🤣🤣🤣
i love when things fall off of the knappett in the same way that jessica did
Fern's accent just cracks me up everytime :)
"Do you want earplugs?"
"I can't hear you Alex!"
I am going to be so sad when Taskmaster ever stops.
:( poor john the live task points weren’t fair. they all tied out in the second round and should’ve all gotten two points vs johns one point.
Munya was such a treat this episode. Absolute mess, but such a treat to watch. I really agree with sarah here, it's just so nice to see his lil face when he does the tasks!
Dara lost the feather ROFL 😂
At 20:40 it was in the dustpan, at 20:44 Dara turned, stopped and looked as he noticed the feather wasn't on the dustpan anymore, and then his reaction at 23:25 😂😂😂
Munya's toy was the third best in the prize task but he didn't sell it properly! Should have said it was for bored passengers not the driver
Those about to fall off the Knappet, we salute you.
I love that they named the platform after Jessica
Munya and John's friendship is very cute
john beating the sht out of the baloons with a belt will be the funniest thing i will see this year.
That safety hammer is mandatory in the Netherlands. Should be everywhere imo
27:40 Honestly Dara just losing it here is one of my favorite moments of this season!
The way they edited it to make the team of three look like they took significantly longer is genius.
Sarah is definitely one of my favourite contestants. Her attitude is incredible.
Best thing on TV. Best thing on TH-cam.
Sometimes the final outcome can be cruel and unjust, but it's funny. Good show.
Dara is just such a fundamentally friendly man and I like that so much a about him. I also like seeing it tested during the team tasks. 😂
I do like that the prize task alternated between perfectly bland and utter chaos. You are either about to have a State Sanctioned Good Time™ or kill dozens.
First time i realized they even put a name plaque on the "Knappet"
This cast is such classic taskmaster absolutely amazing I love all of them
“The power of 1,000 ancestors!” (Ball went 1 cm)
"Maybe try a few more ancestors"
Turned out a few more was too many ancestors, too powerful!
John has grown on me so much this season and his dry reserve of pitching the sailor hat ended me.
I didn't get why John lost at the end. Everyone was disqualified and Alex announced that John got 1 point and everyone else got 5. Usually, if points are illogical there is some commentary from Greg associated.
He failed in the first part
John whipping that belt got me way too close to 'hear me out' territory.
It turns out Munya also don't like them go bang.
The exercise ball bowling! I remember seeing this as a clip ages ago, has to be one of my favorite tasks!
The best part of the episode was the rollercoaster of the audience reactions during John's Bernard task.
I feel the last task was evaluated quite unfairly
Instead of giving them all 5 points, it should have been 2 points, as they all failed in the second round
then again, that unfairness is one of Taskmaster's qualities why we love it!
Eh, it's better than the grape task where nobody got any points despite Tim and Russell making it through the first round
The feather in the bath was so fun!! 😂 I loveee this so muchh
I know the Knappet has had a little plaque on it since Jessica's special walk. Just not sure if it was said aloud before this episode.
I wondered if it was named after her or if the British coincidentally actually called it that!😂
@@karlenerobertson4455 I'm pretty sure it was named after her
@@karlenerobertson4455it was named after her
I think it was named before, although I can't remember where.
I did some digging... the plaque first appears in series 9, episode 4. I checked every studio task after the fall, and examined every Knaplett, until I saw the plaque.
Curiosity abated.
I love that they put billiard ball sounds over the yoga balls striking.
Another contestant who is afraid of/ has a problem with balloons?! I know Aisling Bea, Mark Watson, Sally Phillips, and Josh Widdicombe have all expressed that before.
The U.K. has a long standing war on balloons 😂
David “Don’t Like Them Go Bang” Baddiel too
"The power of a thousand ancestors" *nothing happens*
I'm crying
I know I say this every series, but this cast is an absolute hoot!
Nice nod to Sarah Kendall shooting Alex in the face with a staple gun by making it one of the weapons
John describing an alternate version of 'The Driving Crooner' before it happened just made my friggen week
I think would be great if there has been a Nena vinyl or cd on the desk hidden for the balloon task as a foreshadowing
love looooved the sailor hat ... is he late for the boat?😂😂😂😂
...and the next series' cast spend some time on a boat.
37:09 another moment where it's obvious that greg used to be a teacher lmao he just pulled off such a perfect angry/disappointed teacher expression
Sarah's talent was on full display at the beginning of the last task. Impressive!
Wait what, what wait, what what wait. Its a new episode! Your time starts now.
Nice reference to the song 99 luftballons by Nena.
Sarah is so smart ❤❤❤
7:05 Unless 'windscreen' means any window in a vehicle, she's wrong about the pointy end of the hammer. The hammer is specifically meant for the side windows which are tempered glass. Meaning they're quite strong to blunt impact, but enough force in one area will break it, and when it breaks, it shatters into lots of tiny pieces, rather than large pieces which come with their own number of risks. The front window aka windscreen\windshield is laminated glass which means a sticky film is sandwiched by two pieces of glass. So that if it breaks, large pieces don't come flying into the vehicle. The hammer would be pointless to use on the windscreen/windshield.
Good to know 🤔
