how do i check the c d i please help good mechanic bad with electric stuff!!! thank you much much ....
I usually keep 2 new ones on hand and swap them out. I never get a reliable reading. I have followed suggested testing procedures and never gotten the same readings that indicate the expected results. Usually, a no spark issue (in order) is the coil/loop. then the spark wire, spark cap, plug and lastly the CDI
I was riding and the bike stopped working, it sounded like pressure let out and now the bike won't even start at 1st it was making a whistling noise when it tried to start and then after a few moments wouldn't even start up. So now I'm stuck with a dead bike and I have no idea if it's the Magneto coil or if it's just the starter
Sounds like head gasket blew out. Check that. If so a new gasket is in order. Then you need to retorque the head nuts after 4 rides
Ok now what if the magneto has 3 wires a blue, red and a black what do I'm not doing the kill switch? Can you help me out?
Post pics on my Facebook group. facebook.com/groups/hughesmotorized
You're the Man!! I learn everything I learned from you.😎✌💯
Glad to help
What it mines like 520ohm instead of 310ohm mines also 100cc motor
Very very very excellent I like it
I have spark, is it possible for the magneto to still be bad?
Prolly not the coil. If you have spark then the coil is good.
I replaced the seal behind the magneto, put it all back together and when I went to start it, it made a weird noise and cracked the cover outward.. what did I do wrong..PLEASE HELP!
Shoot me a vid explaining what and where. hughesmotorized at gmail
For our 2-stroke paramotor engines, we NEED a kill switch to stop the motor and spinning propellor. Can you explain the wiring for the operation of motor & coil and HOW a kill switch interrupts that operation (shuts it off)? I can't seem to upload my diagram here.
You don't need a kill switch I don't run one on any of my bikes just use the choke or slowly let out the clutch I prefer choke
You were right on the money, those things always go bad, and I just brought that one! Smh
You can use air and blow the built up crude after youre first ride
Hey Eugene what kind of gas mileage engines get
100 - 150 per gallon
@@HughesMotorized hey thank you I've had my OCC chair prep runner for about a year now and never checked it
@@HughesMotorized I have a half gallon tank. Would that be 50 to 100 Miles per half gallon?
Wjy is my magnet really weak on one side and barely strong on the other side please help 80cc 2 stroke motorized bike engine?????
Might need to change your magnet. I hear the stock ones are really cheap. I am currently waiting on my stronger magnet, performance cdi, and magneto coil. from Amazon. All together 25 dollars.
@@MattC78 yep needed a new it works now thanks! My bike wouldnt start cuz of it
Lowkey didn’t think it would work but it did
my bolt is stripped
what can I do ?
WHAT bolt? If it is the bolt, then buy a new one
@@HughesMotorized I mean main crank and nut in front of the magneto
@@wonderwond Try a new nut and run a die over the crank to chase the threads. Add blue loctite. Don't get so tight. Just snug. If that doesn't work, the crank is trashed
@@HughesMotorized the threads were just laying in the cover, so it took all the threads off, since its like a 14mm you think it would thread to a 13mm ?
@@HughesMotorized im thinking of putting JB weld on it ,,,,,,,, lol,,, do you think it would work to thread it to 13mm ? instead of the 14
Your the best 🏆
Hey Hughes, so I'm still working on my first build and I'm pretty much done. The only problem is that I cannot get a spark to save my life. I've used an OHM meter to test every electrical component from the magneto to the boot to the CDI, ETC. I even took apart the magnet and realized I didn't have a woodruff key in there, so I took care of that I got one and put it in there. My magnet is solid in the 1 o clock position. I even went as far as buying a whole new magneto and CDI. And still the spark will not get going. I would really appreciate any and all help that you can can give me. Keep in mind I'm testing it by having the bike upside down and spinning the tire by hand
Thank you for your time
grab the plug and spin the tire if you feel fire running thru your body and hate me, then you have spark. It's not going to be real bright a spark
Hey did you figure it out mine magneto is good and I bought 2 new cdi and still no spark
Flip the magnet..it also will only work one way..
Thanks
Welcome
Nice video as usual helped me out a lot :- )
Hello sir please help me i am from bangladesh, I build a motorized bicycle full new but it's not start for the first time, but I don't know what is the problem because I see all is ok, corporator is ok, and CDI collection is ok, spark plug is ok and it's also spark I test it and it working but engine is not start for any time, can you help me for start my engine for the first time, I am trying one way for studying my motorized bicycle engine but it not working, please help me I am waiting for your reply sir
Please post some pictures of the bike on my Reddit page. www.reddit.com/r/HughesMotorized/ and I will help you. Often a problem is the carburetor is not installed correctly and there is an air leak.
Pretty sweet! Definitely learned something
Glad to hear it!
I love it ❤
mine reads 32 is that good
Id say yes. perhaps on wrong setting. These new digital meters are whack ! Bet it's saying 320
i fixed that but how do you put the piston ring in the cylender head the right way is it were the lil notches are on the piston
