in order to keep the game running smoothly tank tracks will often stop moving. since the sentinels walk cycle is classed as its tracks it often just glides about in order to do keep everything ticking over

Not the strong suit of the game by any stretch. If a game relies on the fun playing it with friends brings in, then it's not standing on its own. I mean, Stick Fight: The Game, if you don't have two or three friends on VOIP to play with, it sucks. But with those friends, totally worth the admittedly dirt-cheap price, since I can grab three new copies for my friends for like £12. Again, thanks for pointing this out, would have entirely missed it otherwise, then kicked myself.

Ah yes, it is a well documented phenomena that the Tau, both as a species and their techno-heresy constructs, are auto-yeet’d when coming into melee with any physical object. It doesn’t even have to be animate! Praise be that Mankind knows no such weakness...aside from the occasional fallen pillar obstructing the odd Baneblade here and there, but that’s the exception!
Yeah MoW:AS 2 with 40k mod is quite good 40k experience, pretty much only problem being that the game really doesn't like massive battles, 500 dudes is the absolute limit. But if you use the editor of the game you can get pretty amazing battles going, and the 40k mod is among the most polished ones in the game. There are pretty good mods for any taste, during my 2500 hours of playtime in it I've tested almost everyone and the 40k was one I enjoyed most before making my own interwar/WW2 mod
Vraks could only be caught on a small scale. It was a 5000km squared battlefield with constant fighting for 17 years. I'd say the opening of the initial engagement, some side skirmishes, the 150 red hunters massacre (MAYBE), the final push to the Saint Leonis Basilica with LORD HECTOR REX
And you didn't see the best part of the "T'au gameplay" almost every xv battlesuit has the ability to use it's jumpack to yeet itself out of the game, funniest and most bugged thing I have ever seen.
Small weak alien without power armor using pulsegun that is basically small railgun loaded with copper ammo that turns into plasma due to velocity, but with very high recoil as a result: "Haha, shoulder goes /CRUNCH/ AAAAAAAHHH!" Crew of assymetric hover vehicle with railgun with said immensive recoil in fully rotational turret with a off axis gun placement: "Haha, G force tolerances go BLEW, BLEW, WUGH"

Lorewise at their best tech and training Tau and IG should be very similar with Tau slightly reaching into AS/SoB tech territory and even scratching bottom line of AdMech. Except Tau would start with baseline good equipement while IG governor-general ie player will get conscripts and whine about how useless they are while -embezzles the planetary funds for themselves- sits on those game deployment points without using better equipement. So IG players are a _great example of why Imperium is failing_ :D
You should play Ravenfield and the WH40K mod pack it is amazing it has Necron, Eldar, Tau, Chaos IG, IG, Space Marine skin, Orks, and all the vehicles. Its amazing
The title reminds me of a battle i played in this mod with a friend. I don't know wich factions exactly we played, but i know we both had acess to baneblades. At one point we both had a baneblade each and they met on a road and started shooting each other. They managed to damage each other but not enough to take one out of the fight, so they stood there, shooting across the street at each other. Both of us wanted to outflank the enemy Baneblade but every unit we sent got annihilated by the crossfire. After a while the crews of the Baneblades were getting wounded and consequently died and the only thing we could do was sending in troops to fill the seats. So the both massive machines just sat there, firing at each other, unable to win the fight with more and more people running into the tanks to keep them operational and continue the fight
Hey rimmy just gonna comment saying thank you for getting me into the Warhammer series thanks to your videos and some research to learn the base lore such as the fall of cadia and what makes up the astra militarum also today i bought my first 40k game the Inquisitior Martyr so again thank you and the emperor protect

I was watching the Siege of Vraks Series from Archammer and thought to myself that an RTS would be nice semms i found it nice. :)
