The Elder Guide, No Food, No Armor, No Problem! - Valheim

- Welcome to my channel! This is a guide for beating the 2nd Boss in Valheim, The Elder! I took your feedback and instead of using my higher level character with better equipment than normal, I did the complete opposite. I know there are already several guides out there for beating The Elder, so I wanted to put my own twist on this one. It wasn't easy, but I hope you enjoy!
Check out the lists below for a detailed summary of what I used in this challenge, and what I recommend you use at this stage:
I Used -
Food - None
Armor - Yule Hat (okay okay, it does give me 1 armor but come on, its a cute hat)
Weapons - Level 1 Crude Bows and 100 Fire Arrows
Potions - None
What You Should Use -
Food - Cooked Meat, Grilled Neck Tail, Honey. At this stage you can still use the same food as for Eikthyr. Two different cooked meats will provide a good balance of stamina and health, while Honey will provide you with MUCH faster Health Regen (Both meats provide 2HP/tick each, while Honey gives you an extra 5HP/tick)
Armor - Highest Level Troll Armor or Bronze Armor - Troll Armor does not provide as much defense as Bronze armor, but when I played through my first time, I used Troll Armor until I got Iron gear. I strongly believe your precious Bronze is better spent maxing out a Bronze Mace and a Bronze Buckler. Besides the Finewood Bow, those are the best weapons you could have in your backpack at this stage. You will thank me when you explore the crypts and take care of the swamp creatures with ease.
Weapons - Max Finewood Bow! - Getting the highest level Finewood Bow will be the most important thing for preparing for this battle. I only want you to use a bow, you should not be using a melee weapon for this fight. If you want to melee, I would strongly recommend the Bronze Mace and Bronze Buckler, as mentioned above.
Potions - You shouldn't really need potions for this fight, but if you're able to make any type of stamina or health mead, you might as well bring them, they'll help in a pinch.
Strategy - Remember, we are using the Pillars as cover, shooting arrows right after his vine attack is over, and rotating to another Pillar when he summons Roots.
