I married someone who has a child from his previous marriage. Let me tell you, it is quite challenging and it's a very delicate matter, especially when it comes to disciplining. I was just like Adrienne--dated someone w/a kid and said, based off of that experience, that I for sure didn't want to marry someone w/kids. And what did I end up doing? Yes, exactly that which I had said I didn't want to do (life is weird like that). I can completely relate to Adrienne. She also mentioned that man needs to make sure he treats his woman with love and respect so that his children can treat her just the same--couldn't agree more! LOVED this segment. There are married couples who divorce 20, even 30 years into their marriage for various reasons and they move on with their lives with no resentment towards each other. Who says his ex wife has a problem with Adrienne, or their impending marriage? Why all the hate? When Tamera was pregnant, EVERY FRICKIN episode was about her, Adam and the pregnancy. They had the announcement, the announcement of the gender, and TWO baby showers. Allow her to bask in this new phase of her life. Leave them alone.

I really liked this segment. I am a Step Mom, and my ex husband has 11 children 2 of his children bonded with me, I have one child of my own my daughter is grown and she bonded with the daughter that bonded with me and since I never had a son, I bonded with his son (who's the brother of the daughter, I bonded with ) it was a wonderful experience to have a son and I found out that boys don't require as much of your attention as girls do, plus they are easier to shop for lol. I also bonded with 2 of his other daughters but only two of his children call me Mom and that is the brother and sister I bonded with and even though their father and I aren't together anymore. We still talk and they still call me for advice. When we got married they were teenagers, I was like "oh no, not the teen years" I had gone through those years with my own child and it was a very rocky time (I had to do a lot of praying like "God please keep me from killing my child") so to go through that again and this time I am the "Step Mom" but being the step Mom was so cool cause I just had to say we will have to discuss this with your dad, so that was different. My Step Daughter and Son call me the Back up Mom and I just simply call them my daughter and son. His other children we didn't really bond like that but we still keep in contact. I am a grandmother my baby girl (step daughter ) has two children and they call me Granny Kim, it's so adorable when they say it. I only had one of his children try to test my patience and she was banned from my house. That might sound cruel but remember this man had 7 teenagers, they are all grown now. They've called me to thank me for being their for them and acting as a buffer between them and their dad at times. My son and daughter will forever be in my life, we still talk on the phone and hangout when they come to town. I now live in Nevada and they live in California. I love being Back up Mom, I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I Love my children.

I married someone who has a child from his previous marriage. Let me tell you, it is quite challenging and it's a very delicate matter, especially when it comes to disciplining. I was just like Adrienne--dated someone w/a kid and said, based off of that experience, that I for sure didn't want to marry someone w/kids. And what did I end up doing? Yes, exactly that which I had said I didn't want to do (life is weird like that). I can completely relate to Adrienne. She also mentioned that man needs to make sure he treats his woman with love and respect so that his children can treat her just the same--couldn't agree more! LOVED this segment. I am a Step Mom, and my ex husband has 11 children 2 of his children bonded with me, I have one child of my own my daughter is grown and she bonded with the daughter that bonded with me and since I never had a son, I bonded with his son (who's the brother of the daughter, I bonded with ) it was a wonderful experience to have a son and I found out that boys don't require as much of your attention as girls do, plus they are easier to shop for lol. I also bonded with 2 of his other daughters but only two of his children call me Mom and that is the brother and sister I bonded with and even though their father and I aren't together anymore. We still talk and they still call me for advice. When we got married they were teenagers, I was like "oh no, not the teen years" I had gone through those years with my own child and it was a very rocky time (I had to do a lot of praying like "God please keep me from killing my child") so to go through that again and this time I am the "Step Mom" but being the step Mom was so cool cause I just had to say we will have to discuss this with your dad, so that was different. My Step Daughter and Son call me the Back up Mom and I just simply call them my daughter and son. His other children we didn't really bond like that but we still keep in contact. I am a grandmother my baby girl (step daughter ) has two children and they call me Granny Kim, it's so adorable when they say it. I only had one of his children try to test my patience and she was banned from my house. That might sound cruel but remember this man had 7 teenagers, they are all grown now. They've called me to thank me for being their for them and acting as a buffer between them and their dad at times. My son and daughter will forever be in my life, we still talk on the phone and hangout when they come to town. I now live in Nevada and they live in California. I love being Back up Mom, I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I Love my children.
