What I did was hold power button to shut down twice within 20+ minutes and last time while it booted back up , I used the esc button to log my password in to opening screen and that’s when I had my cursor back!!! 😃 Yeah! This happened due to wiping touchpad off with just a slight moist paper towel but glad drama is over 👍🏼😃

A really helpful video. A real good advice is that after uninstalling the driver, and checking for updates the old mouse choice didnt appear, so I just restarted my laptop at that point and my cursor was back.
This happens with my laptop 1-2x a week every week, I literally watched it disappear before my eyes earlier this morning. None of the suggestions ever work & it is infuriating!!
If any of you need help or it hasn’t worked, I tried loads of tutorials but then I gave up and just reset my laptop (held down the power button) and it worked! I hope this helps someone :)
If none of these methods worked for you, you can also try pressing the f7 key on your keyboard. It would display "Touchpad Enabled". And drag your mouse/ or your finger on the touchpad and the cursor should reappear again. If it doesn't work in one go, try it a couple of times. This worked for me like magic

Alternatively, look for the cancel rectangle on your desktop and press alt+ that cancel rectangle. Could be the F5,F6 or F7 depending on your desktop
