Everything is getting delayed, and despite his inexperience, he decides to still make the trip? Either he was on a suicidal mission or he really wasn’t the best decision maker when it comes to serious life situations.

@@mariadelrosariojaqueteherr943 well 6 months ago I would've said it was ridiculous. I was listening to a video and in the comments people kept saying jfk jr's alive and there were enough comments that I wanted to see what these kooks were yammering on about. Lol. I just started to think...what did ever happen to that plane? I couldn't remember exactly. So I started there and it didn't take long to find an article on the internet about strange circumstances about the recovery. Now I wish I would've saved it because they wipe everything off the internet. The autopsies were unusual, to give you at least a little info, they showed a photo of them. I guess in a normal case (let alone such a high profile one) they have several pages for each person. There was only one page with all three autopsies. Basically said, yep they're dead. And the speed of that process was unusual. The fact they were cremated and scattered at sea. America's beloved son? Wrapped up really quick nothing to see here. So from then I started half way paying attention to the "kooks" not really being able to believe it. I started to see that he did have motive, he had the right circumstances and that it was entirely possible that he could've pulled this off with some help. No matter what is said, it is "possible". It's interesting for sure

RIP to all three. I think there might have been a bit of a death wish involved here. Certainly not suicide, but risk taking so extreme that it may as well have been. The sad thing is that Lauren (her sister) got caught up in this. It was a very selfish move for him to fly this route, at that time, in those conditions, with his skills. Nuts flying a plane like that in IFR conditions without experience. And not taking the land route with a horizon, ugh. Bad decisions compounding. Anyway, RIP.

I watched a video recently, made by a pilot who is expert in the type of plane flown by John. He said that John had flown the same route almost 40 times in the prior 18 months, five trips of which had been at night. He was very knowledgeable about the route he was taking, and experienced with taking it at night. Nobody knows exactly what happened, but we do know that he was only about three miles from landing, almost there, but did not contact the landing airport radio tower. The assumption is that he took his eyes off the instruments when, mystified as to not be hearing from the landing tower, he fumbled around for paperwork to check as to whether he was set for the correct radio frequency.. When he looked back up, maybe 10 seconds later, something had happened to make the plane veer in a way that he could not correct. (He had most likely already disengaged autopilot, in preparation for landing). After just a few seconds, the plane had veered away from the shoreline, and he was disoriented by the complete darkness. He then made the wrong correction, resulting from his disorientation, and the plane crashed. Had his radio not had problems, the accident would not have occurred. It could have happened to anyone. It's best to always have a co-pilot, in case the pilot has to look away, for a minute, or less. You need two sets of eyes on those instruments and buttons. This is why so many private planes crash, as compared with commercial flights--no co-pilots.

John Jr. made a series of errors in judgment that day that led to the tragedy. You don't want that in a pilot.
I also think that he had a feeling of invulnerability since he had taken many risks in the past and always come through. I wish he had lived- he was a likable person with manners unlike so many today. I still wonder why the autopilot wasn't used.

@@pamelahsmithsmith2366 I did watch it, and remain unconvinced that the numerous mistakes JFK Jr. made 'could happen to anyone'. I read many books on John Jr. by his close friends and colleagues and they all describe him as absent minded and a risk taker. The wrong setting on the radio frequency was not the sole cause of the accident. It
was not being instrument rated and flying at night over pitch black open water (not addressed in the video) which caused spatial disorientation. John should have hugged the coastline for the whole flight. I would amend the last line to read 'He had every gift but length of years and COMMON SENSE'.

Breaking aviation protocols is foolish by any standard, to do so as a pilot of his inexperience is the mark of a fool, no two ways about it. I always heard it being put down to bad weather, turns out it was nothing of the sort, the pilot of that plane was solely responsible + let's not pretend otherwise, he was criminally responsible.
The negligence + failure to comply with regulations is quite shocking + I don't know if ignorance or arrogance is more to blame. I do know if a member of my family was killed on that flight I'd be fuming, because it never should have happened.
I don't know anything about what took place following this disaster, what sort of investigation, but there would have been enough failures + code violations they probably didn't know where to start. American aviation is the benchmark, generally speaking, but what went on in this case is difficult to believe.
Never mind the Wright brothers, this is more Laurel + Hardy, it was needless + totally preventable.
What a sad story.......... Are there any male Kennedys still knocking around today, I wonder????
There was one getting married, I've just remembered............ Is he still upright????

In Christianity people are buried even after 1 week. That's normal. Ruth Ginsburg, who was Jewish, supposed to be burried within 3 days, was buried after more than one week. Poor John, instead of having a nice day on 25 Nov, he went to the funeral of his father. Evil people!!

Someone should have put their foot down, particularly Jackie, and demand that this funeral be another day so that way John Jr. don't have to live with this for the rest of his life and he could actually have a decent birthday in the years going forward. You're right. RBG and her religion was not respected during her death. A Jewish person being buried more than a week later it's not traditional. They put politics over the person, which is very sad.

He was very qualified, with more training and experience than the average private pilot. He had flown that route over 30 times. He accidentally tuned the radio to the wrong frequency. He was flying a plane with two gas tanks which sit on the left and right side. The plane drains fuel from only one side at a time. At the time, the plane recommended switching gas tanks every hour. But since then, they've recognized that the switch should be every 15 minutes or so or the plane can drift too much to one side. When he was nearing the airport, and still had not gotten contact with the tower, he leaned over to press a button and to look for a flashlight to check on a map for the correct radio frequency. In the process, he accidentally also disengaged the autopilot. The plane veered right due to the gas tank problem. By the time he found the flashlight, he was already way off course and could not figure out how to get back on course, how to manually control the imbalanced plane, and how to watch every gauge. He crashed before ever figuring out where he had drifted to or why he couldn't level the plane. It was bad plane design and accidental mistuning of frequencies. Do not blame him.
Imagine finding the flashlight and looking up with no shoreline lights anywhere. They're supposed to be to the left. But they're not left, front, or right. They're behind since you've drifted right directly away from shore, but you can't see them. You think they should be to your left, so you suspect your plane has done a sudden upward trajectory into the clouds, resulting in no visibility. So you can't trust your gauges. You wildly experiment to try to get any feel for correct direction, left/right tilt, altitude, lift/decline, but you never see the lights on the shore to be able to orient and test against gauges, that you no longer trust. You crash before succeeding with any orientation attempt.

Lindon Johnson was a LIAR CRIMINAL, the only TRUE perpetrator behind JFK shooting, he had wide experience killing many of his rivals during his rising in politics using Billie Sol Estes (trialed for murdering) as his executing hand.
He actually was celebrating the killing with his hooter the night before in the mansion of Clint Murchison with LBJ´s Texas supporters from the military and Oil complexes along with the CIA (which he wanted to erase) and FBI high ranks. After it he run fast to the Air Force One to be sworn in as president and run away with the trophy...with the blood still pouring JFK´s wounds. He literary said during that party to his lover "never again a Kennedy is gonna ridiculize me".
The shots came from three places, window, grassy knoll and the drain ahead of the car for which were contracted three members of the Unione Corsa mafia. The Zapruder film shows perfectly the drain fatal shot coming from the front of JFK´s skull and exiting through the back. Not a single expert report of that video has been performed by XXI century experts...it says it all. A Texan taxidermist was appointed by FBI to take on JFK´s head reconstruction to fake the autopsy, in his deadplace he told his relatives he was behind that work. Johnson ordered to clean JFK car and repair it for his personal use the next Monday after the assassination, which should had been charged with obstruction to law at the time.
The subsequent killing of all the dinasty is a permanent reminder for the family to keep out of the spotlight...yeah yeah all coincidence those assassinations and "accidents" that followed, and not only to them but most eyewitnesses of the assassination.
There´s no Democracy in the US or Europe, you vote what your TV tells you to vote and if you don´t follow suit and find an outsider they fake mailvoting to outbalance any election or simply kill him. Vote the two selected puppets of the very same party: Corporate Money´s Single Party

Being able to take your own aircraft and fly it when and where you want isn't thing that pilots are "allowed" to do. There isn't a nanny to stop someone from exceeding their capability, nor prevent them from flying into deteriorating weather. Pilots are expected to operate their aircraft to the capacity of their ratings, and the capability of their experience. That's something that is up to the judgement of the airman.

The person who did the voiceover is wrong about John knowing his father. John Kennedy Jr. knew his father, but he was a child then. Lauren should have stayed out of John and Carolyn's relationship and worried about her own. Carolyn should not have listened to her sister. They should not have flown the plane late at night at all. I feel so incredibly sorry for Carolyn and Lauren's mother, Anne Freeman. Her's is an unimagineable loss. Losing two precious daughters. Ms. Freeman has only one daughter left - Lauren's twin sister. It was incredibly stupid for two sisters to travel together on a private plane but they didnt know any better. The protocol is that you don't put 2 family members in the same flight because if the plane crashes you lose both family members. That is one of the security protocols of the royal family. Private planes are dangerous. Protocols need to be followed. There is a reason for them. What an incredible tragedy. And look at poor Coby Bryant's wife. She lost Coby and their 13 year old daughter Gianna when their private plane crashed. How do you even fathom that kind of loss. Can you imagine their suffering...

Not only was he not qualified to fly at night, without even a co-pilot. According to the NTSB his instruments showed he didn't even calibrate his radio to the right frequencies to connect to air traffic control. So the entire time he could have been guided by ATC he instead of calibrating his radio and trying to reach ATC, he just kept on going and going despite not getting anything on the radio. The man didn't check or double-check his own equipment before taking off. He just flew that plane like it was a car. They want to paint him as this perfect prince of a person, when really he was a spoiled man who had everything handed to him, never got a no to anything in his life, and got two people other than himself killed in the process. Never spoil your kids people. Even if you are upper middle class, you put them on a life trial early, start making people self-made people again. Infact don't leave anything to your kids in terms of money/inheritance. Make it known early on they get nothing when you're gone. Let it all go to complete strangers who could use a good break in life, specifically those who never known anything but cruelty in life. Uplift them instead, there your lifes achievements will actually mean something and your legacy remembered for generations. No one forgets anyone who pops out of nowhere to give them a chance, a really dignified life. Do that instead of handing it to your kids who wont ever appreciate the hard work it took you to get all that money. So that your kids don't grow up to be entitled JFK jr's. Make them instead grow up to be Steve Jobs, self-made man from day one.

I feel something is missing from this story that we'll never know since all died. He went through tragedy after tragedy all his life. He kept trying to fill the Kennedy shoes that everyone was pressuring him to do. Biggest influence was his mother. He couldn't do anything good enough to measure up to what everyone had planned for him. Name one thing he ever did because he wanted to besides flying. His magazine was failing as was his marriage and assistant DA he was not good at either. He was average or below as a student. Everyone including his wife was on his ass. Stressed to the max he ignored and overlooked things that caused his death. Watching all this happened up to and during this tragedy Caroline was a B. Really he needed stay at hotel over a disagreement? Smh Don't think was suicide.... but crikey he finally got some relief.

I think it was such a shame his mum put a stop to his acting career. With his looks, fame and enthusiasm, he may have had some success. He seemed very easy to get along with, which is always a plus in any profession. Of course, what his mum wanted was more important than what he wanted to do. She pushed him towards a career in law, which he had no natural talent for.

No way his moving into the hotel was as trivial as they are making it out to be. They were over. The guy from his office at the magazine said he overheard him screaming in a fury over the phone get your things out of my apt and get ouy of my life you have gone too far. She was sleeping with the former boyfriend cheating on John and then accusing him of cheating. Guilty minds need no accusers. She was doing alot of coke. She was on his azz and being a spoiled biotch. Her way or the highway. If they had lived he would have filed for a divorce. Its lovely the way family and friends talk about them posthumously about them getting back together and working things out or just cooling off for a few days but the only reason she went to the wedding was because a friend of hers convinced her there would be gossip that would make her out to be the bad guy she didnt want that. She wanted to be the victim. And her greedy parents sued for multi-millions claiming wrongful death. Caroline Kennedy paid them off just to get rid of them rightfully so. Sleezeballs.
