It’s gonna be pronounce as ‘Nee-vAY-rah’. ‘Neve’ and Eira both meant ‘snow’ with neve coming from niamh that mean ‘bright or radiant’ and Eira based from a goddess/valkyrie named ‘Eir’ who is closely associated with medicine (though, the only thing i can brag about that is that her earliest traditional sources came from colder climate countries.) *Vale* = mostly categorized as a male’s name but hahaha! If you wanna shorten it out to just ‘Val’ for nickname. Can be a female one’s. Based on the sources, it’s based on a skiing location. Considering the design, she looks more of an activity/sports enthusiasts so, I wanted to look for a name that leans a bit more on that side. *Eirlys* = it’s a name that meant ‘Snowdrop’. Coincidentally, ‘Eirlys’ can also refer or be directed to a flower based on it’s name meaning. Snowdrop or Galanthus Nivalis is a flower that blooms during January until February and emerges on frozen soil. It’s the first flower to bloom at the end of the winter. Not gonna lie I was not liking the character design at first. I thought it was the vest with the gloves that was throwing me off, but taking the black out of the design improved it so much. I think it really let that red speak for itself, and I actually love the final drawing. The gradient socks are so fun

When you mentioned the snowflake as a crest and looking at the snow blobs reminded me of stars and the name Stella came to mind. The other name I thought of was Aspen because yellow in her hair and socks reminded me of the leaves on an Aspen tree which grow in colder regions.

I have no idea where this came from, but the vibe I’m getting from this character is an “Olive” of “Hadley” or something like that!
I like the socks! They add a hint of fire to her otherwise wintery theme. Idk something about contrast is just *chefs kiss*

Not gonna lie I was not liking the character design at first. I thought it was the vest with the gloves that was throwing me off, but taking the black out of the design improved it so much. I think it really let that red speak for itself, and I actually love the final drawing. The gradient socks are so fun

When you mentioned the snowflake as a crest and looking at the snow blobs reminded me of stars and the name Stella came to mind. The other name I thought of was Aspen because yellow in her hair and socks reminded me of the leaves on an Aspen tree which grow in colder regions.
she feels like a stella or an amelia to me, maybe because it feels like she can switch between cheeky and fun and serious and focused really quickly
also she's such a cool character! i didn't know you could create such an aura of awesome with just a ski mask, some funky clothes and a popped hip!
