Liz V. Art i can’t relate, but that’s the point.. you just have to be patient and make your mistakes part of your art. It happens unexpectedly, and everybody makes mistakes, sometimes you just can’t get exactly the art/drawing you want. You may come across mistakes, but you can always change that, but sometimes you just have to start over if it’s actually worse/big lol
The only thing that was going on in my mind was "its a happy accident.." "its a happy accident" "ITS A HAPPY ACCIDENT" And honestly I think it turned out really well. Smudges and mess ups always lead to a better piece, and more knowledge for the future
fun facts: Snakes have special elongated scales on their belly to help them crawl/climb, the scales of a bony fish are made of enamel and dentine and can be detached individually from their skin. Their scales overlap to protect the fish and provides greater flexibility
@@et6521 Nope, they are just scales. I was going to comment another fun fact: turtles and tortoises and some other animals also have scales but they are large and they're called scutes! These types of scales still shed but do so individually. I think crocodilians scales might be of the scute variety as well, but i could be wrong, they shed in that same way though.

I haven’t watched through the full video yet but I LOVE RENDR SKETCHBOOKS SO MUCH I got them for Christmas last year and it’s my favourite sketchbook rn EDIT: just finished the video and would like to share some of the things I’ve learned using my sketchbook 1) copic/alcohol based markers work best on it 2) the colours look dark until they dry 3) the bleeding isn’t that bad with copics 4) Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pen don’t bleed under copics if you use them for line art (and I love using the grey one) I hope any of this helps (although you probably figured these out already) but I really hope you revisit the sketchbook because I really love it and hope you do too
I'm behind a day... I could've swore the prompt was boat, so I spent all day drawing and inking a flipping boat, just to watch a jazza video and see it actually said "bait".. I was hoping there was a boat prompt and just swap it but nooooo, lololol! This is my first inktober and I'm trying to stick to the official prompts. But I don't see that working so well.. Maybe I'll add a pole and a worm on a hook with my boat... Hmmm.. Good luck!!

I don't know about you, but those are literally the only brushes I use for my painting. I love them so much! They don't shed, they respond really well to pressure, and they keep their shape.
I really appreciate that you post videos, not just of the pieces that go really well and come together fairly easily, but ones like this too. I think a lot of artists understand the feeling of suddenly finding yourself in an upwards battle against a piece and I don’t feel like it’s something we get to see very often online. Hearing how you talk through and solve problems and watching you tenaciously keep going and then ending up with a piece that may not be what you envisioned but, that is still great is super inspiring and informative. It’s something that I really love about your channel and I just wanted to say thanks because it’s helped me a lot with my own art
i know i shouldnt have, but i couldnt stop laughing throughout the whole inking part of the video, theres just something so funny and relatable about everything going well but then the ink ruining everything. Ive had that experience so many times, and its better to laugh than cry

I’ve learned so much about myself from the past couple of years. And I’m working everyday to be the person I want to be. And I feel like I’m much closer to the person a very important person thought I could be. And having you in my mind has been a big reason I’ve grown into this person. If only I had a way of contacting that important person I could try and show the way I’ve improved.
I LOVE Crescent Rendr sketchbooks!!!! You can use markers, paint, SPRAY PAINT and nothing goes through. The smell is sweet indeed - it's a combination of the cover's material and the portion of the paper sandwiched inside (the bit that keeps it from bleeding). Freakin' amazing.
I'm so grateful you keep your mistakes in the video and everything... that's the #1 reason I give up n walk away alot n makes me feel like I cant do art at all but seeing someone as good as you making same mistakes I'd make shows me that it can be worked thru n fixed it's not the end of the art

I sharply inhaled both times the ink dropped from your nib. The end result looked really cool! Even though it didn't seem to be going well the whole time, I think the lesson to be learned from that is to not give up. I tend to give up a lot on art. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️

not considering that the paper wasn't working as expected, I love the design and would love to see this Medusa more often. It is refreshing to see a Medusa so cheerful and the snake head so expertly done. Great character design!!!
I love her! The skirt design was so creative, and the final pose you went with is super cute. Way to stick with it when things weren't going well, I think it still turned out great!
Rin, You are growing as an Artist and you deserve to spend a little more on supplies particularly on paper as that is how your art will be preserved for the future. I have older artworks that have yellowed because I used cheap paper, your art is precious and you can treat it so. I am surprised no one has mentioned that the brush has that angled “point” on the bottom for creating effects with watercolor or wet mediums on paper, scratch off/out color from paint/ink that has not yet dried. I have also seen people use it for burnishing. I enjoy watching your videos and want to encourage you to keep going and creating what you love to create!

I LOVE Crescent Rendr sketchbooks!!!! You can use markers, paint, SPRAY PAINT and nothing goes through. The smell is sweet indeed - it's a combination of the cover's material and the portion of the paper sandwiched inside (the bit that keeps it from bleeding). Freakin' amazing.
I'm so grateful you keep your mistakes in the video and everything... that's the #1 reason I give up n walk away alot n makes me feel like I cant do art at all but seeing someone as good as you making same mistakes I'd make shows me that it can be worked thru n fixed it's not the end of the art

I sharply inhaled both times the ink dropped from your nib. The end result looked really cool! Even though it didn't seem to be going well the whole time, I think the lesson to be learned from that is to not give up. I tend to give up a lot on art. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️

not considering that the paper wasn't working as expected, I love the design and would love to see this Medusa more often. It is refreshing to see a Medusa so cheerful and the snake head so expertly done. Great character design!!!

Rin, You are growing as an Artist and you deserve to spend a little more on supplies particularly on paper as that is how your art will be preserved for the future. I have older artworks that have yellowed because I used cheap paper, your art is precious and you can treat it so. I am surprised no one has mentioned that the brush has that angled “point” on the bottom for creating effects with watercolor or wet mediums on paper, scratch off/out color from paint/ink that has not yet dried. I have also seen people use it for burnishing. I enjoy watching your videos and want to encourage you to keep going and creating what you love to create!
