For breaking up parts to work with a single part ( or multi parts) I use the copy and paste option. I copy what I want and open another Lightburn window and paste the into the new window for any operations to be done on them separately. This works nicely if you get files from others to break them up.
If you have moved the piece it might be tricky as you will need to get everything lined up perfectly to get the cut spot on. If you haven't moved it you can just do another pass or more as required.
Adding 'pages' to the software would fix it all. Thanks for the workarounds.

What if I cut/engraved a design but the material didn’t cut through and now I only want to cut around the piece and not do the engraved part?
