Really enjoyed that. The Y plate Fiesta made me smile. I used to buy and sell cars from my house back in the early 90’s and Fiestas were always great sellers - I would hope to pay £500 for a car around this age and sell it for £999. You would nearly always have to do a bit of paintwork before selling, which would cost around £80-100…how times have changed!
When I passed my driving test in 1994 at 17 years of age, I really wanted a silver mk 1 fiesta 1.3 super sport which were going for around £900 then, but ended up with a 1981 dark blue Chevette ES edition for £225 as I really wanted to be on the road driving around and it would have taken me a long time more saving up for the super sport
@@benpenagonzales6014first owner must have had a few quid to opt for headrests! lol The Big question is though, did it have a passenger side wing mirror too?
another great video mitch.... If sellers want to really sell. Their cars, put low reserves or no reserve on their car... And it sells... Most prices are too high in this auction
Hi Mitch, obviously I am a car freak. Your vlogs are excellent. Thank you for an insight into auctions and some superb cars. Takes me back to my youth 👍
If it still had the RS1600 spec it would be £60,000+. Basil Green really messed up with that one, but the Mustang engined Capri's were in another league.
Absolutely stupid estimates and reserve prices. Auction houses are their own worse enemies They are chasing sale commission money so are pushing sellers to set these ridiculous figures.
Reserve prices are set by the vendor with advice from us. No auction house in the land would push a vendor to increase a reserve price. The lower the reserve the more attractive the guide which in turn tends to mean more attention from buyers and a stronger sale result.
Fantastic seeing you there. Really good to have a catch up. I didn't bid or buy at this auction. Wasn't my day. Hope you had a top day. And as always great Video.
That Escort isn't going to get finished if you keep bunking off to car sales, nice cars for sale. Prices certainly have tanked, loved the capri v6, the auto box probably held it back, but the south African escort was a surprise not selling.
Great vid mate! I missed this one....a week in Magaluf was more tempting ☀️😁 there were a few cars there from the previous auction, think some sellers have unbelievably high expectations of what their vehicles are worth in the real world! Always a good selection at WB and Sons though! Might catch you December 👍
Cheers Mitch thanks for taking us on the trip, I would love a nice clean Zephyr two tone blue and white with a nice set of mini lights, good to see all the different cars at the auction obviously you can't show them all looked like they were short of buyers, that Pirana should have sold for big money that was a real collectors car, I wounder what happened to all the BDA's they took out of them they would have been worth having,
Great video mate. Loved the Fiat. Not so much love for the Mk3/Mk4/Mk5 Escorts, I thought they were rubbish at the time they were new (I'm that old), and even worse now. Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts were what I grew up on.
well, with all those low prices, i thought i might get myself a series one, but no, the RS tax is still strong... should of called in mine and bought that RS 2000 diff, might of even give you that mk2 fester door for nowt... keep it up young man
Wb auctions arent even on my radar so they need to advertise better and use social media. In line with other auctions reseves should be set low to get interest, as someone who has tried to sell a quantity of classic stuff lately the market is slow to dead and i doubt it will pick up to the heights of last few years. Auctions need to adjust their reserves to sell cars and tell owners they are dreaming and in fantasy land No good having cars unsold it doesn't pay bills
Great vid M2M. However, WB estimates are out of order, particularly as much of the stock looks a bit worse for wear. Their commission is also higher than many rivals already exorbitant fees!
@@gfame888 our fees are actually considerably lower than most classic auction houses. The industry average is 10% there are many charging 15% and higher. We are half that.
Very over estimated values I wish the estimator was giving me a trade in price when changing my car you would walk out with more money than you went in with 😂
classic cars dont seem to be making the money they used to is that because of the new rules on classic cars and if you declare its been welded thats classed as a modification and then has to have mot or is that lies
It’s not quite as drastic as a welding. If the car has had substantial changes I.E a new chassis, an engine swap or how the vehicle works is changed then an MOT on a 40+ year car is required.

My first car was a 950 pop plus. With headrests! Mk2

As a mk1 and Mk2 fanatic for the last 30 years of my life I have never even heard of a perana before! omg that thing is just unbelievable!

Restoring an old car was because you loved it and nothing to do with money😊😅😅😮😮😢 changed 😮
Just shows that cost of living has caught up with the classic car sector.
Nice mk1 fiesta that mate 3:38

Great reviews Mitch,love these classics
Hey mate yet another great vid.. was also very nice to meet you. Genuinely nice bloke on and off camera.
Can not agree more with your comment. Such a nice guy. One of my favourite YT channels
The 3.0L auto Capri was nice but my favourite was the little blue Bedford van I really liked that 👌
Hi Mitch another excellent video enjoyed all the cars you covered thank you for sharing them keep it up can't wait for next video
Great video mate.
Loved the Fiat. Not so much love for the Mk3/Mk4/Mk5 Escorts, I thought they were rubbish at the time they were new (I'm that old), and even worse now.
Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts were what I grew up on.
Loved the S1 RS Turbo Mitch. Although you're a lot younger than myself great to see that you love the classic ford's of my youth 😊
Them seats on that MK2 Capri are the most comfortable seats I had one back in 87 2 ltr Ghia model
Excellent episode, some real surprises with prices and no sales,
It's a sign of the times, loads of cars not selling, people haven't got the spare cash.
Loved the MK1 Fiesta especially, Mitch. Great vid, as ever.
I was getting ready to be sad and put first but big tam has slapped me to stop me 😅😅😅
Thank you big Tam 👍
No cash in the room that day. Great vid though, as usual, Mitch. Love it.
I liked the Fiesta. Nice and clean. Most of the other cars were just dreaming. Or at least their owners'' were.
People have started to become wise now. Prices are starting to come down especially ford's. Noway is a Sierra is worth 500k+
That Capri 30 4:00 ❤❤❤
Could you do a walk around at the start to quickly see all of the upcoming stock
I was at the same auction, i got the red mustang cobra
Another great auction vid, well done, and thank you.

Love a series 1 RS turbo. Strong money, that’s like £25k for a 2B condition car
Market has took a bit of a dive.
Thanks again fella
RS Turbo was a great buy for less than £20k
Love you vids Mitch but more ridiculous estimates and reserves. No wonder cars aren't selling....

bad time to sell at the moment , everything ent selling or not fetching the money .

Nice one jedi use the force and what you buying next
You wont believe it but you are about half a mile away from a RS200
A lot of unsold is the market suffering I think so 😮
Yesss Mitch!
Definitely classic cars are dropping in price along with classic British bikes
Covid madness is nearly cured.

Yet another great video cheers chap keep them coming
I think the auctions estimates are a bit high but great watch
Holy moly a prefer sweet cherry 🍒 Mitch 🫦. Thanks for the new video 😑💪🏴
Either the auction houses are asking too much or the bottom has fallen out of the market.
