  • Sean McDonnell was first given the name John Winters Doe. He was found abandoned outside an Arlington Heights apartment complex on a cold day in 1983. Sean was just hours old when he was left inside a dirty garbage dumpster to die.

He needs to author a book. It can be promoted as being fictional, BUT it does open the eyes of readers to the evilness and sinfulness of humans. I wonder if the girl born before him and adopted out has any opinions about her biological parents or abandoned brother? Apologies really do mean a lot to the harmed, but they are not owed an apology. It's the getting beyond that hurdle that is forgiveness in many ways. Forgiveness is the harmed persons recovery, not the perpetrators' rehabilitation. His adopted mums tears of gratitude that she experienced having him as her son are everything. ❤

When a mother abandons her baby in a dumpster and then threatens harassment when that child tries to reconnect later, she deserves to be held accountable. Why didn't the parents want to talk to the son they abandoned? Why not explain what led them to such a drastic action? I initially thought he might have been the child of panicked teenagers, but if that's not the case, perhaps his parents were involved in an affair, leading them to make this heartbreaking decision.

I could understand being angry because he found out he has an older sister that the parents gave up and for him to tossed like trash. I think he needs to seek therapy and work on moving on, 41 years later, his mother is elderly and likely close to death. He will not get "justice" by putting a women in her 70's in jail for the short remainder of her life. Even if his biological parents had affluent jobs and were married, that doesn't necessarily mean his mother was in a good situation. Back in the early 80's, women were still very much considered property of their husbands with no say over family matters. Her husband could have been abusive and many men back then forced their wives to have endless children against their will, the fact that there was more babies born to this mother right before and after this incident kinda points to such a thing. It is heartbreaking but some desperate women did cruel things to their babies back when women's rights were slimer. It doesn't make all those countless women evil, they were also in a situation beyond their control. It's unfair to judge her situation from the perspective of nearly half a century later. This was a woman born in the 1950's, long before women could even open their own bank accounts. I am so grateful to live in a time where birth control is accessible, martial r*pe is recognized as r*pe, women have the right to divorce for any reason and women can no longer be forced to have children against their will. He needs to acknowledge that her being married and employed doesn't mean her situation wasn't nuanced. He's being very narrow-minded assuming his mother was blood-thirsty just because she wasn't a teenager at the time. He says he's not looking for vengeance, but his anger and grudge is coming off very clearly. He is suing then after all, he needs to accept that he still has a lot of harsh feelings about this and work on them introspectively. His biological parents will be deceased soon and he will have nothing to do but sit alone in his anger then.

The amount of kids around the world who don't end up with a happy ending, who actually die unloved and unwanted, and he got a loving family - but this man is out for blood?
