+ezlivin44 O have experienced that, sometimes it starts off and a few minutes later it hangs and doesnot continue. I would try it again. Maybe even restart everything including your phone, then retry it again. Be patient and keep trying. For me, I think I have had better success with phones than my MacBook Pro.
Thanks for the encouragement. Giving instructions through video - clear instructions - isn't easy. You might like to consider doing a little more editing for clarity. I'm sure that will repay the effort in terms of subscriptions.
I have the same Problem with the RC, goes only up to 5% and stop. DJI Support Germany told me, that it's only a problem with Android phones. Best way is to update with iPhone or to wait for the next Update. that's terrible & i think they give bad supp. to a Android, that the people buy next an iPhone. Or could anyone tell me, why they didn't have the go4 app for Android , in German language?
+Klaus Kistner I don't think that they are doing that bad. You have to remember that every year there are tons of Android manufacturers coming out with new phones,new models and even upgrades to their OS so it would be difficult for DJI or drone makers to keep up to date with all of them. Apple is even more limiting, my iPad mini 2 wont even work with DJI Go4 which sucks and I don't want to buy a new ipad
+Simon Hun Update DJI Go4 from playstore. Turn on and link Spark and remote first, then Open DJI Go4 app on your Android or tablet, connect USB. Make sure it connects, then try update firmware again.
idaho38 I have had that happen when I didn't have a more charged up battery and it wouldn't complete. I would charge it and then try to go through the process again and make sure that it is fully updated, just to make sure.

First, the Spark and Controller need to be both turned on and linked together (commected) like you are about to fly, and your display (phone) plugged into controller. Click the ... Three buttons upper right hand (menu) find the upgrade firmware click that. It will go through the process and ask to connect to wifi and allow you to complete it.

Hey man! What is that cable you're using to extend the DJI cable? I have found the cable itself is too short to go from the controller to the phone. Cheers
Sam Roche the white cable is a USB OTG cable, you can use DJI cablebor most any Android ones. the black cable is just a short piece of right angle USB. You can get both from Amazon.

I been having a hard time updating my remote. When I update my remote it would make noise and just stay on the 5%.

why do only the two lights {camera} not go on after warm up??? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was trying to update my firmware to just use my phone and it will not download the firmware, at all. Very frustrating.

mine froze at 99% , I had to stop everything, had to charge everything again then open the app again and it said it was updated...go figure

+Kickasaurus13 there seems to be problem updating remote. You have to downgrade Go4 app to older version. It is discussed in DJI forums
+Kickasaurus13 also some have suggested to downgrade Go4 app to version 4.1.5
