I’ve been using an essential oils blend that works but I know Dr. Dray does not advocate anything scented. I am curious about planting different plants in your yard or on your balcony/deck that would keep mosquitoes away? I think I read that catnip repels mosquitos and I know lavender does but many people are allergic to lavender scent and have asthma attacks from this scent.

I was on vacation and ran out of body sunscreen, so bought Equate waterproof spf 50 sport at Walmart. Omg what a find! For $4.88 for 8 oz it’s absolutely incredible. Absorbs pretty fast and doesn’t leave a white cast. I tried it on my face too and it didn’t pill under makeup.

I love the La Roche-Posey Water Cooling sunscreen. I actually prefer that over the Melt-in Milk formula. I'm a flight attendant, so I go from hot, humid environments to cool dry environments multiple times a day. I don't need any sticky layers on my skin. The Water Cooling sunscreen dries down so well that I will even put a light layer on my legs before I put my pantyhose on. I also use it on a daily basis when I'm running errands at home. It's my ride or die.

Yeah, I do love a non-oily chemical sunscreen on my body so it doesn't get all over my clothes like a mineral sunscreen. But mineral sunscreen is better for my face because I can use it on my eyelids and under eyes, without stinging my eyes. I'm resigned to using two products. 😎

I have loved Bondi Sands for the last two years. I use it on my face, too, and even though my skin is dry, this is hydrating, but not overly so, just a bit shiny. I want to mention I tried the Eucerin Mineral SPF 50 and even though it goes on like mud, it does eventually blend into my fair skin. But, even a double cleanse wouldn't remove it all from my face and it transfers to clothing. Not repurchasing. Thanks for your videos, Dr. Dray, and I hope everyone is having a great day!

I can’t tolerate most chemical sunscreens near my eyes, but I like to use the same sunscreen on my face and body if I’m going outside. The best solution I’ve come up with is to use a mineral sunscreen stick around my eyes. I like the Blue Lizard Baby stick for this. The Cetaphil one in the yellow package is good too.

Being an Australian brand, Bondi-Sands had to go through two stages of testing and was required to meet the spf stated at the 4 hour mark for Australia to approve it for spf 50. Knowing they have some of the most rigorous testing for spf since they have some of the highest skin cancer rates I will need to see more independent testing before I stop using it.

I used Bondi Sands sunscreen on my face and body about 2 weeks ago when I had to be out in the sun for several hours. Loved it. However one of my errands was to renew my passport which required a new photo. The girl taking the pictures said my face was to shiny I literally had to go into the washroom and remove ALL the sunscreen from my face. Then had to go back outside without any left on my face I wish there was a sunscreen that didn't make you so shiny. I have tried several.

I have tried so many different ones and they are all sticky, they leave stains on clothes and furniture and they are really hard to wash off at the end of the day. I pretty much use it on the daily - I wear skirts/shorts a lot (live in SC and it's insanely hot right now) and it is a little greasy. But for the price I love it. It's not as greasy IMHO as the WM sport brand.

I’ve tried 2 of the shown body spfs. I have some kind of issue with both of them. The Aveeno is too heavy even for my dry/mature skin and the filters itch my skin in that formula. The LRP itched like crazy and for some reason burned my skin. Honestly, the one I’ve enjoyed for body is Banana Boat Airy Fit (I think that’s what it’s called.) I hope it never goes away! But I also rely on UPF clothing, stay out of the sun from 10-4-we’re getting higher UV indexes later now- as much as possible, wear UPF wide-brimmed hats/carry UPF umbrellas, sunglasses, long sleeves etc. I take sun protection extremely seriously because one parent has classic Fitzpatrick I skin, freckles, red hair and several BCC removed as does their siblings (one of their siblings has Squamous Cell Carcinoma w/“tentacles” on the nose tip). My other parent is no longer alive, but was in the military (USAF) and lived outside on tarmacs most of their life. Skin was swarthy and never burned/tanned easily (not sure of Fitzpatrick skin type), never wore SPF, but did use the aviator sunglasses and hats when possible. I take no chances, so I will keep looking for the best protection. My car has UV protective film on side windows and I’m trying to convince my living parent to put UV film on house windows (unsuccessfully.) Frustrating as all get out because they don’t have issues like I do w/ SPF but only occasionally wears it and not at home (the walls are all windows). Grrrrrrr. For those who think SPF/Sun protection measures are a joke, they’re NOT. Thank you Dr. Dray! 💜💜💜💜💜

Can you suggest any body sunscreens that don't contain avobenzone or zinc oxide? I realize that pretty much eliminates all U.S. sunscreens, but I'm allergic to avobenzone and my super dry, impaired, eczema skin can't handle how drying zinc oxide is.

We are using the bullfrog sunscreen/bug spray combo. I had to order it directly from the manufacturer, it’s not sold anywhere near me. We are liking it, especially for working In the garden and playing on the playground. We don’t use in face though.

I used the Laroche Posay 100 a few years ago. Not sure if the formula is different now, but it felt very congesting on my face and made me feel I heated. I really wanted to like it, but eventually ditched it. Probably should have tried it on my body instead.

Defo get stingy eyes with the Bondi Sands one though. Not with their zinc version however, which I do prefer.
The test result did kind of worry me to be honest. I thought it was BS at first but it did cast a shadow of a doubt and I hate that

I love sunscreen videos. They are my favorite. However, despite having over 100 bottles of sunscreen. The majority of the ones I tried, ( I used them based on date) the only one that hasn’t cause me acne is the sunforgettable by color science. I don’t want to have to buy more because I have so many. I’m really frustrated.

Totally agree about the greenwashing and fear- lingering that comes along with mineral sunscreen… but I break out into hives and rashes when I use traditional American chemical filters 😭 Do you know of any good mineral body sunscreens for someone with a weird immune system like mine?

I would love to know what you recommend for year round sunscreen or one for the months outside of summer. I start getting dry itchy skin in the fall, through the winter and into the spring and I'd like to use some lotion that is moisturizing but also provides protection if I'm out walking or watching the kids compete in sports or while doing yard work...etc.

I hate using mineral sunscreens on my body but I find that I have to when I go anywhere where I need to reapply and don’t have access to soap and water. We go to the lake often and I found that after I reapply a chemical sunscreen to my body, if I don’t wash it off my hands, then it transfers to my face when I reapply my mineral sunscreen to my face. And then my eyes start stinging.
