Hey. Idk if you already fixed that ipad. But to get out of a bootloop. You wanna Ready itunes on a pc. Then power of the device. When the device is powered off, hold down the power button. While holding down the power button, plug it into the pc. Then you can restore it in itunes
I tried, but it gives me an error, I tried several versions of iTunes but it never worked, I believe the battery is completely dead and can't hold a charge anymore, hence the reason why as soon as I unplug it the screen goes black, same for the Recovery mode, and DFU mode, I tried to leave it charge for a long time but it still didn't work.
UPDATE: I've said some incorrect information in this video so here's an update video with the correct info: th-cam.com/video/icS5SdMZ6JQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Also, the reason why iMessage and FaceTime didn't work on my end is because mine is iCloud Locked and you can't login to FaceTime and iMessage if your iPad 2 is iCloud bypassed. (3:33)
I paid over $1000 for the 1st gen iPad 64GB Cellular and loved it. Did not want to pay full price for the iPad 2. I did picked up a few iPad 2s for $5 each a few years ago. So depending on the price, which for $5, it is worth it. I like to carry it as a backup iPad that I take to the coffee shop to read a couple of books or comics. Internet is not going to work well. Can play older games. Can learn to program iOS games on it. Can play retro games on it. Can jailbreak it without worrying about bricking an expensive device. Can learn to repair and replace screens and batteries. So depending on what you do with it and what you paid for it, the iPad 2 is still good for 2024 and beyond.
You got two for 5$ each!? That is an absolute bargain! I also agree with all the things you said about the usability of this iPad, the only problem is that it could be iCloud locked like mine, which prevents it from getting downgraded to older iOS versions, and prevents it from sideloading and jailbreak. However when you find one that's not iCloud locked, and especially for a cheap price, then I think it's absolutely worth it, just like in your case.
0:45 The first iPad mini also lacked a Retina display, which released after the 3rd generation iPad. 2:39 Your iPad 1 needs a new battery. 4:48 If you have a Mac, you can use Sliver to permanently bypass the iCloud lock on your iPad.
Also do you have Discord? I would like to contact you about Sliver because right now I'm trying it on my MacOS Catalina virtual machine in virtualbox, here's the link : discord.com/invite/8DD5U8KG
@@techpal. I have Discord, but only for the video calls for my podcast. I’m unsure if my mom would let me use it for other uses, which I apologize for.
I have 2 of these on my fridge just because I had them already. The Chinese motherboards don’t work with FaceTime anymore, American models do. There is an app still available for download to use them as a wired monitor for windows, with an app running on windows as well, I forget the name of it. Staying tuned for more updates if you find any!
Thanks for letting me know about the Chinese motherboard issue! I tried typing in the App Store "Mirror" or "Screen" but most of them are incompatible, although I did find a lot of games!
lol anytime. I was drawn in by your insane desktop background, and also your production quality is great for someone who just started. Will try and keep adding to your content in the comments

I can't tell if tell if tech it out stole my channel name or we just happen to have the same name
The fact that iOS 9 looks so modern yet obsolete now is crazy
It looks modern because the design has barely changed and iOS 18 still looks somewhat like iOS 9
I guess because the icons never really had a major change since then.
@@countryland69 That could be the reason why it never looked any different, aside from the control center and notification center

Oh right, thanks for correcting me!
I bet I would never find an iPad 1st gen battery in my city so it'e pretty much a lost cause.
