    I think you missed a feature on the main shifter there is a btn that does put it in all while drive. SO you can be in that mode on dry pavement I think.
    Just got one today in Cambodia for $9500.-

      It's not for 4wd on pavement. The button on the 4wd shifter is to turn 4wd which should be engaged in 4h because you have to manually shift into 4 low and to do that you must shift into neutral first. You can use 4h on pavement but your not suppose to drive more than 55mph with it engage as it's meant for rough terrain purposes (snow/sleet/sand/gravel/rocks ect... THERE IS NO SUCH THING as a awd "4wd truck". It's either in 2wd or 4wd when you manually engage it. Driving with it on all the time will destroy your 4wd system and render it a 2wd truck only. If your referring to the button on the drive/reverse shifters then that would be overdrive on/off button and that has nothing to do with the 4wd system. Not sure if that's what you meant.
