    This is one of my favorite snack but I’m so intimidated by the process of how to make it. Your process seems to be pretty simple and straight forward. Let me work up some motivation and will try to attempt it.

    In a 8x8 pan like hers, this will yield 18 squares. To make half (or a bit more than half), use a loaf pan. Foil loaf pan works if you don’t have a glass one. Or you can use an aluminum pan but make sure to use PAM or olive oil spray to lightly grass it. Silicone pan would work too.

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need for oil spray, the coconut contains oil so once cool it’ll remove very easily.

    I will use your recipe soon but Sometimes I find the layer is chewy. How do I prevent this from happening?

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Too much tapioca starch will cause chewiness, a tiny bit more rice flower will make it less chewy but too much rice flour can also cause the layer cake to be hard. This recipe is a little chewy. I find playing with a recipe and adjusting it to your liking is best.

    • @ZoeyandVFam

    • @3pumpkins170
      @3pumpkins170 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually just use all purpose flour and you can't really tell the difference. But you can't substitute the tapioca starch.

    • @jeneka0989
      @jeneka0989 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make rice flour at home. All you need is to pulverize moistened raw white rice (any grain will do, but it must be the non-instant variety rice) into a high grade blender, remove the contents into a bowl, and let it air dry in your fridge in a bowl. You can even freeze it to save for future use. Just TH-cam search “how to make rice flour”. It’s simple!
