Now you are in “beast mode” man! From the outside it sounds fantastic. And it doesn’t sound bad at all from the inside. The sound of the MBRPs is unparalleled! One of the few videos (if any) out there where you can hear how the combination of the MBRP Race exhausts + MBRP downpipe sounds.

Hey man awesome vid, thanks for taking the time to make it proper. I just purchased MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust w/ Y-Pipe - Street Version, the Corsa 3 in. Catted Downpipe, the JLT Performance Cold Air Intake and of course a custom tune from 5 Star SF4/X4. Oh and a C&L Bypass Valve Adapter. I can't wait to hear how it sounds, but your video got me stoked! ✌

@boostedwhipz in the video you said it is the MBRP race catback exhaust with the MBRP catted downpipe. But I have been searching and I cannot find the downpipe, there are several other manufacturers, but not MBRP. And every other one I’ve heard doesn’t sound anywhere as good as this one. So could you please tell me where you got the downpipe from? Thank you.

Do you have the aftermarket blow-off valve on it too? Trying to see if its to much boost noise for my liking or not. Yours sounds great
I had the adapter for full VTA.
Did you cut the nipple sections off and put in 3 inch pipe to make it true 3 inch ?

I know this is old but what all can you recall when comparing the cat back only to the catback+downpipe? More drone? Or less? Did it sound too raspy or about the same. It sounds a lot like just the catback to me but of course videos only do so much. Thanks.

No issues. Tune is definitely recommended but not required.
Did you have any trouble connecting the catless dp to the mbrp exhaust? The mbrp exhaust slims to the 2.5 and my catless is the full 3inch. What did you do to work around that?

how is the drone on these? I'm worried it'll be like what I have now. I have an 08 v6 and I put a pypes street pro on it and that thing drones, granted I do have a convertible. I'm trying to find an ecoboost with active valve exhaust but they just don't seem to exist anywhere and I'll have to add my own.

Thinking about picking up this downpipe (catted) to go with the race catback One question though. How much louder does the exhuast sound when compared to the stock dp? I want to delete the 2.25 inch section too and I'm thinking of putting a 3 inch resonator inline from the dp to the catback.
Jeremy M it gets LOUD. I'd say it doubles the sound but in a good way. Sounds deeper. Not a lot of people like this setup because you will hear the drone. Some people have added resonators to help out, but me personally love the setup.

Really want this downpipe but am worried the drone will be too much, with just the catback I would say drone for me is a 4, how much louder will the downpipe make the drone?

If ya'll are looking at one of these? may I suggest you wait till the 2020 models are released? - even more stock HP at 325 - seriously, drive one. That's what sold me. These are stable, fast, easy to mod without breaking the bank.
I have both Carbon fiber hood and deck lid coming for mine. Oh, and I broke 12 secs! - fastest pass 11.91!
Total invested - just under 2k! (gotta add the new hood and deck lid but that will drop 55 lbs - back seat delete - another 40 pounds - hood and deck lid another 50 (If I'm remembering correctly.) plus some other weight loss ideas I'm looking into that won't affect the overall performance or driving aspects.

Is the Dow pipe and catback exhaust all u have done to make the turbo and exhaust that loud? Or do u have a cold air intake as well or what else
Nothing else... I had a drop-in filter, intercooler, and tune. But as far as tone for the exhaust downpipe + catback. With an intake should sound even better all around.
I have a 2018 ecoboost mustang and got my catted cvf downpipe would this fit with a mbrp exhaust

You will get this sound on bone stock. I was protuned but has nothing to do with the sound

Way more drone and yes had the noise reduction disabled.

BoosTang23T I think all the wheels are a bit exaggerated for this gen mustang to close the gap without lowering you need some 20inch way to big for my taste that’s why I just got the performance pack wheels instead and Ima about to stick 275 40 19 in the rear
Edgar Torres I am going for 20in on mine using the GT350 wheel style rims. Depending on how it looks I may even lower it as well. My plan was to lower it on 19in rims, but saw someones setup on 20in and it looked real nice.

BoosTang23T I have a question you know how you upgraded to Indy 500 a size bigger did you compare it to the oem tire ? Because I just took off the p zeros and put a 275 40 19 Indy 500 and it looks like I never upgraded the size lol just a slight difference maybe like half an inch

Does this Cat-Back have a Y-Pipe integrated into it? I have the Flowmaster Outlaws, and the Y-Pipe from Flowmaster as well. I want this thing to be loud, but legal. So Catted is my best option. I'm looking at the Mishimoto Catted Downpipe. How loud do you think it would be, taking into consideration that it'll be paired with the Y-Pipe, and the Axle-Backs? It sounds quiet-ish in the video.
It's not super loud. From what I remember it's a Y-Pipe. No longer have the car so unsure.

Whats size tires you running?
GHOSTS550 in this video I have stock 18" wheels with 235/50 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. On my new setup with new 20" wheels I have 275/35 all around. Check out my other video for the new wheels.
What about the drone while doing 70 mph or 75?

Indeed. It was tuned after this.
is this louder than the borla atak catback?
Not so sure... Never heard that one in action. Definitely this setup was loud. Borla normally tends to be much louder overall on all systems but they are also overpriced.

Thanks for watching... Unfortunately I no longer have my EcoBoost... I can tell you the tone gets more deeper and aggressive. Just note that a lot of drone though.
I know that california has a law about the exhaust not allowed to be above 95 dba, have you gotten pulled over for the noise, not sure what state your in. But good video! Keep it up 🤘🏻

Wow. Is that how loud mine is? Can’t tell from the outside haha, it’s so much quieter inside. Have the same exact exhaust setup, MBRP ftw. Question, did your downpipe throw a code? Mine did and o2 spacers didn’t work so I had to back to stock for inspection...

Did you do it yourself or through a shop?
Had someone with the same issue and it was due to the O2 sensor not being tight all the way. My shop heated the connector to remove and put back on. That guaranteed a tight secure fit.

Devan West I got this off of eBay from a store called Just Bolt On. I believe they price match American Muscle or are even lower priced. I usually use the eBay deals of 15-20% off everything.
Aight appreciate it..i found it on amazon....but will check out the ebay route too....you dont need a tune for this either to see gains do you? My ecoboost is stock as of now..getting the ford perfomance tune just to maintain warrenty lol
Devan West MBRP says no tune required but my tuner Adam from Tune+ said it is required to get all the gains. So not sure. I assume to keep it safe, the tune must take it into consideration.
BoosTang23T one more question..the tune you have....can you flash it back to factory to keep the warranty on your car....also did you have to change any internals i. the block or tranny or rear end/suspension for the hp gains
Devan West All my performance parts are direct bolt-ons (check my page for all the mods) with everything else stock (engine, struts, transmission, etc.). My tuner uses the Cobb Access Port tuning device. This allows to revert back to stock ECU. Any questions keep asking. That's what I am here for.

Can't recall exactly but about $1,000 including labor and parts.
Is the exhaust the only mod on it?
Jose Hernandez turbo downpipe, Mishimoto intercooler, NGK spark plugs, 93 Octane Tuned by Adam (Tune+), and K&N drop in filter.

Hopefully there are some ppl in your area. This is one of the best setups. Another one I have heard is a muffler delete.

No sir... For those that do get the engine light it's because the sensors were not bolted on correctly, fully, or tightened. Additionally I was tuned so not sure if that helps.

@@johnmangbawi9287 can't say for sure, but those that did it without a tune, they got it fixed by tightening the sensor or readjusting it. Before I flashed the tune, I had no engine codes or light with this setup. I ran this setup for a 30 miles with no issues and no tune.

The drone is terrible I have a Cp-e catted dp with mbrp race catback gives you a damn headache.
John D mine is MBRP all the way, DP and Exhaust. Not sure that makes a difference, but I am not bothered by the drone.
