This is quite an overlooked scene in the series. Bond rarely looked that terrified and scared about how he‘s gonna get out of this! It truly is one of the very deadliest situations he‘s ever been in throughout the franchise! And for such a cartoony Bond movie, this scene is extremely dark, disturbing and kinda out of place but very cool and tense! It is also one of the rare moments in the series where Bond really would have been dead if it wasnt for the Q gadgets

But patrons at a bar named Bikinis Bar and Grill in San Antonio, TX used a hairdryer to make skin movements like that shown in the 007 movie ‘Moonraker’ and thus called it by the same name used in the movie. MOONRAKER(1979): "Where all the other Bonds end...this one begins!". *** Great scene! Good old times, when James Bond films were visually gorgeous(thanks to Ken Adam), well directed(thanks to Lewis Gilbert) and James Bond(Roger Moore) himself was a charming English gentleman agent(even at the age of 51)! Actually, his last 5 movies(1977, 1979, 1981, 1983, 1985.) were all great!

This is one moments where Bond actually looks vulnerable, especially when he gets out of the pod and the woman tries to help him. I know people say Moore's outing were camp and ott, but there's truly no smug Bond here. Roger Moore's acting here is outstanding, and when he was in the pod and the guy's turning it up so the G's are going max, look closely a Moore's face there, how did they do those ripples in the skin of his face!? It looked like somekind of real G-force or something, honestly he looked like he was about to pass out for real.

They actually built this full size working centrifuge for the film and just for as few mins runtime! Today they would get a way with a digital model and small set for him to climb into. ah those days! This is one of my fav bond films as it ticks a lot of the fun boxes and also the advertising boxes too! Venice, Rio, France and outer space; or at least a sound stage in England.. Jaws is back again and brilliant story of him finding love with a small cute girl and helping bond out to defeat the always beautifully spoken Villain of these films...

Yeah right... Moonraker is SO silly... Come on... This is clear prof that Moonraker is just as dark and serius as a lot of the other bond movies with the other bond actors. Just because there is jokes in the movie doesnt mean that the movie isnt dark and serius. Actualy it makes those dark moments even stronger than they would be if the movie was serius and without humor all way through. I love Moonraker.

@cellomaan, yeah I like Moonraker. But for me, the biggest mistake was turning Jaws into a comic. When you first see him in the creepy scene at the carnival and the fight on the cable car, it was like the old Jaws from The Spy Who Loved Me. Then, inexplicably, they made him into a joke.
