Thanks S&J for all the great snow reports this season. We are just home today after a really great week staying down in Jouvenceaux (Etoile des Neiges). Haven’t seen much of Magnus on the screen recently, hope he’s ok. Enjoy the rest of the season 😊

Not been to Sauze for a while now. Still enjoy watching these reports for the nostalgia value though. Great content. WIll hopefully make it there next winter. Still think you should get a helmet though 🤣

Hi S and J, thanks for your great reports. We’ve been to Sauze with the family for 6 years and love it. Will the red back into Sauze from the top of Fraiteve ever reopen?
All the best Rob and the Denny family.

Not seen an update on Conditions since 15th March....? I'm just back and I can tell you that conditions are very poor from mid mountain down.Clotes is completely gone...grass and mud, and everyone downloading by standing on 2 pallets and heading down one at a time on the fixed quad. Lift then grabs you at the bottom and hauls you off before the lift hits you.💩
This was totally avoidable if the piste crews had started making snow a fortnight ago when the weather was snowy and cold and build up the depth on the bottom runs as safeguard when it goes really warm at the end of the season...skied in Montgenevre last week in 21C, the bottom run to the Gondola was 4ft deep...of very slushy snow...but still skiable unlike Sauze.
Have skied Sauze 5 times now...and its stuck in a time warp. Desperately needs to upgrade the double chair to Sestriere and put new lift in at Clotes that makes downloading less dangerous.

The resort & the lift system has changed relatively little since I was first there in 1976. When the winter Olympics arrived in 2006 a huge opportunity was missed to upgrade the whole lift system. In comparison, Montgenevre (like most French resorts) has invested heavily in state of the art uphill capacity. I love Sauze, but do wonder what the future holds as the climate changes.
