  • Zoya Akhtar has as of today notched up 10 directorial credits to her name, which include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Lust Stories, Gully Boy and Made in Heaven. This video essay looks at her debut feature Luck by Chance and suggests why this bittersweet take on the film industry based primarily out of Mumbai is her best work yet.

Indeed...this is the only film where Zoya Akhtar cherished. Rest of the films Of her has more impact of other cast and crew.

It is also a master class in casting. Isha sharvani who is the star daughter is a genuinely bad actor. Casting her in that role where she needs to be a bad actor was genuinely great casting. Isha by the way is an amazing dancer which is her chosen profession.

In South also there is a lot of nepotism. Even more than the bollywood.
