Matt, thank you for your videos. It’s rare to find a professional fisherman who is as transparent about their own fishing practices and decisions as you are.
I've tried most of the dice/ tentacle baits, and most were ho-hum. But the Geecrack Cue bomb is exceptional. I flat wore them out this year on the Cue Bomb. I love it rigged on a weighted #2 wacky hook and let it slow fall. Awesome along weed lines. The only problem now is you can't find them in stock... anywhere.
OSP DICE !!! Catching tons of fish with it. Don't think you gave it enough time. Have caught 20+ fish on each bait. Just need to turn the bait as it has 4 sides for the drop shot hook. I don't even use a drop shot weight. I love it!!
I've had good success with the cue bomb in the Midwest, I use it in the same application that I would use a finesse jig.. also works great for smallmouth in the Detroit river/lake St Clair around calm, shallow water. I rig it with the wacky shot.
Dang Matt, made the last trip of year to Powell lost count on what we caught smallies, greenys, stripers, you name it best two days ever thanks to core tackle & a few other things great video
Matt, I have kept this to myself for years but I'm telling you now. I have caught hundreds of keeper bass on a jig with Starflash round silicone skirt (I have pics to prove this). If you put it in the water and hold it still the skirt will flair straight out. I have two colors that are outstanding: Candy rootbeer (613) & Summer craw (441). I use full & finesse cut on the jigs. On the full cut skirts I use a BBB Double Tail Finesse Grub 5"(GP) no dyes. On the finesse cut I use a Zoom Creepy Crawler Twin Tail (GP) no dyes. On #613 color I have caught multi species: LM, SM, Walleye (up to 6lb), Sauger, channel catfish (up to 20lb) & a 41.5lb. flathead catfish. The black-blue, PB&J & others are pretty good to. I hope this helps you and others catch a few more bass. NE-KS NW-MO area.
Dice style baits on the Zappu rpz talisman is a str8 killer this is a hush hush rig in Japan right now that is winning tournaments left and right. I made my own version of it and in the last 2 months have caught a 4.12 smallmouth and a largemouth over 5 pounds on lake mead which are really good fish for that lake. I also rarely ever use a drop shot but the OSP dice bait caught me tons of fish on really tough days when nothing else was working. Thanks for the content as always tight lines Matt !!!
Couple years ago I went with my fishing buddy to Lac Seul for musky. He had over $12,000 in baits. I used only two all week, about 90% of the time a perch colored copy of a 7” Smithwick Rouge. I outfished him 8 to 1 even though he was continually trying to find the perfect bait. Sometimes one needs to stop and think…..do guys use it because it works, or does it work because people use it? If everybody is using a purple and pink Wonderblaster and they catch fish, does it really mean it is the best or just mean that’s what the fish are seeing and therefore biting? Not trying to rain on your parade, but if you spin your chair around and look at the wall, my guess is there is something that works. Perhaps pros are good enough to tell the difference, but my option after over 60 years of fishing is location and presentation (speed) are most important. YMMV
Ive done my time fishing whatever ppl tell me to fish with. Now I have 1 million lures, and the only thing I was missing out on. Was going back to the basics. Done with chasings adds. back to inline spinners, and homecraft lures to dunk the market.
The q-bomb looks like something I'd try to skip under docks and low-lying limbs and see what happens. I wonder if the smallmouth would knock the crap out of it. Thanks again Matt 😊
I skip a lot of docks a this year 4" Venom Tubes with the Secret lures 3/16 Stupid head and the Yamatanuka with a 4/0 Owner Twistlok hook were best. Wacky Senko got it done also as always.
As I suspect you now better than I, your 1/16 to 3/16 TUSH finesse jigs make the Sakamata shad come alive. Fished like (hard) jerkbait or burn/pause reeling.
Remember back when you did that video and called them junk? Remember how I told you they were solid producers? Well, here's my "I Told You So" dance. 🤣🤣
The Dice style baits didn’t intrigue me at all. Griff over at Hook Up Tackle in Arizona did many videos with the use of them. And he did catch a lot of fish with that goofy bait . Keep in mind hindsight is always 20/20. Thanks for posting this video today.
Matt: Just like you I love to fish. I love bait and tackle as part of that. I’ve accumulated a lot of it and find I loose track of what I have. Once I have some success with a bait I tend to throw it more and don’t dig deeper to see what else I should try. I’ve started to pre rig which gives me time to consider trying other things, but when I try them and don’t get bite quickly I revert to my old stand by baits. How do you keep track of your baits and how long do you try a bait before moving on? I think I could fish 24/7 for years and not try them all. 😱😱😱😱
@@MattStefanFishing Thanks. I also want to thank you for so much great information. I know I’ve caught more and bigger fish since I became one of your subscribers! God Bless.
Nothing like having time to reflect on the what ifs, something tells me that the next fishing season you're going to concentrate on growing the channel and maybe sneak a npfl tournament here or there 👍
I can't go there. Those things would get me laughed at if I tried them in the saltwater. But they do prove a point, fish will bite anything sometimes. I can't imagine what a fish thinks a ball with rubber strings looks like.
Wait a minute! You said - out loud mind you - "at one point I had to much tackle" 😮 Is this a turning point in your addiction? Or a mere faint " no don't look at that wall, or those shelves - totes - er" 😂
Hey I’m from Wisconsin fish in Adams county area I live on Goose Lake water temps r down under 50 now and I can’t get a bite? Any suggestions? Obviously go deep and slow but specific baits? Lake only gets to 15’ in a hole otherwise it’s around 10’ water clear all way to the bottom! Thanks love your channel!
The depps sacamata shad also works better than a fluke when you are fishing your standard fluke method glides better ya I know I butchered the spelling
Matt, thank you for your videos. It’s rare to find a professional fisherman who is as transparent about their own fishing practices and decisions as you are.
I appreciate that!
on Saturday I bought my first Berkley cull shad. 8" lime ice. Sunday caught my biggest musky ever at 49" on it! I missed the boat on that one.
What lake were you fishing? Or body of water?
@BassmasterSteven fox river, Waukesha, Wisconsin
the megabass magdraft? nice, ive had good success on them too. 😁 just kidding, i hope to get a musky with a big honking swimbait this winter.
Big one!
@@tagg946 good luck! Is your name Taggart? Asking cause that was my brothers name.

Interesting
I think I already shared the cue bomb with you when you posted about the OSP dice. I have cleaned up on the Cue Bomb!
Try cool

I tell you using a four or 5-in robo worm on a drop shot is super effective. I had so much fun this year on that
Yes it is
I use the zman jerk shadz and have caught a couple nice fish on em this year 👀!
awesome!
The Sakamata with a light under belly weighted hooks has a good little shimmy to it on the fall
Awesome
I have those 2 of those power switch baits fire tiger and they work great. Thanks Matt for the info and tips bud 👍🏻
You bet
The q-bomb looks like something I'd try to skip under docks and low-lying limbs and see what happens. I wonder if the smallmouth would knock the crap out of it. Thanks again Matt 😊
Yes they do
Saw Matt Becker Gave you and core tackle a shout out over in china on his international trip… very cool!
that was super cool!
It's okay, Matt . I haven't fished a lot of baits . That you and other side too .
Thanks for watching
Great video Matt 👍
Thanks 👍
I been thinking the same thing Matt I think because there are sooo many presentations hard to fish em all
so many techniques to choose from
I got 10 of those cue bombs and I have some wacky shots tried them in the pool looks good can’t wait to try them out
awesome!

2 baits I have yet to catch a fish on… Que bomb and Berkeley gilly
Theres a lot of people that love both
@@MattStefanFishing of course brother… I’m still throwing them 😆. I’m sure they will do good in the spring time!

They make a bunch of baits come alive!
Pulling for you man that jig has got to be in the water and them worms ..Hope you skin them boys next year.
Thanks
Glad I'm not the only one not sure how to put the qbomb in the rotation
Haha

Haha it happens to the best of us but generally i only put baits i have a ton of confidence in my boat. New baits in and old baits out
@@MattStefanFishing Thanks. I also want to thank you for so much great information. I know I’ve caught more and bigger fish since I became one of your subscribers! God Bless.
there is a company named fourseven lures, that makes a far more efficient and cost effective version of these orb baits. its called the aero sphere.
ill check it out
“Too much tackle”???? Lmao! That doesn’t exist 😂
Haha
Wow wasn’t throwing Ned right wasn’t u n a big mag holding smallie with Ned rig quotes ! I think I still have article somewhere lol
Haha
Thanks Matt

I’ll be announcing soon
Dice put fish in my boat! Drop shot, and on a Core tackle wacky hook!
Awesome!
Nothing comes to mind. Oh wait. That line has been taken.
Haha

they are still shallow from what ive seen.
I will never use FFS and never use Dice baits😝
Stick with what you enjoy
Great videos and information 🎣👍
I missed the boat on the hybrid hunter
I was late too
Hey Matt what do you think of those Cast Fishing Echo minnows?
Haven’t tried them
Make your own
You can
Would the power switch work on a-rigs
Worth a try
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
Bro how tf do people retrieve the cue bomb, haven't caught a damn thing in them
Biting on the fall
i don't know why you would say that you have too many baits after looking at that wall behind you
You can never have to many baits
Screw the dice baits
Yea like screw in lock style
Dice bait on small lakes and ponds in IL are killer! And if you can grt a hitchiker to nose hook extends the life of the bait
Haha
It helps to keep them on the hook😊!
Those dice baits prove ugly can catch a fish lol
Yep lol
