Thanks for the video. I bought one of Oly Richard´s books but I didn´t like it that much. I have bought 5 of Juan Fernández´s books and I found them more interesting. I am currently reading his third book. Thanks for the lending library idea. I just reached 1,300 hours of CI. - Dave
I disagree with a lot of what you say.yes, one can speak and have a great accent without reading, but you would be speaking at a high school level at best in your target language. It would be speaking to an average 15 year old. It that what one wants? Kindle allows one to have a online dictionary and be able to highlight an unknown word, continue reading and come back to look up the word later. Most of the the time context will let you read without stopping. Just my thoughts.
I think he's reading at his level so he can read fluently and enjoy it. This will download the grammar and fill out vocab. In time he'll be able to progress to more advanced works. The easy reading is a good preparation to read at a higher level. Reading at one's level is important in gaining vocab through context.
Good books. There are others. Lola Lago books. There are 7 books. They are quite short but you can get them with audio. They range from A1 - B1.
Cool, I'll check them out. Yeah I'm looking for graded readers right now until I can comfortably read larger books.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, lending out books from the library is great if your local library has a large catalog.
Nice video, I think I have one of those short stories books for Russian haha.
Yeah I think Olly has these books in like 10 different languages, pretty cool for starting out to read.
