Got those in Belarus. Really worth it. Nothing sticks out of the floor, so no bruises on toes for being clumsy. If you slam the door real hard - it still catches it but the door bounces off. The sound is a bit bangy but it's not that often that I open the door that wide (especially can't imagine opening the doors so wide open when it's a night time and I'm trying to bee quiet - so don't worry) As for installation - basically you just need a dad with a drill and a friend to help him hang the door back where it belongs :).
"If you slam the door real hard - it still catches it but the door" - good to know that. It another question about reliability: can dust or some garbage stuck between moving parts make it stop working? It really my biggest doubt.
its for the security! if a not wanted person is inside and is opening your doors, you can hear it and call the police. maybe the door then is loud enough the police maybe can hear the bang its not a bug, its a feature!
A thief will not open the door fully :)).. like "BANG IS ME .. THE THIEF !". Joke aside, you can pus a bit of felt on the pin tip so will cushion the noise.
That dimple in the plate is spherical (like a ball pressed on the metal plate ), it is not a cylindrical hole. So when you move the door the pin slides to the edge and down, away from the magnet, eventually escaping the magnetic field and just drops back in the hole. The key is that spherical dimple.
This is perfect for what I need however as I am renting I can’t drill a hole in the floor, are you considering a version that can be taped to the floor with like a 3M solution making it removable?
yeah they have a new 4th dimension one the 30mm pin that lifts up sits inside a dimensional hole in the plate so the plate is only 5mm thick and tapes to the floor
For it's elegance, it is worth it. You only do it once anyway, not daily , unlike old methods where you will place back the ripped off door stopper much often :)
I work on high end homes where door bumpers are an issue. This is a good idea but it is kind of ugly. Would love to see a premium version of this unit in a all metal finish and truly flush with the floor.
I wouldn't buy it. Look how much play there is when the door hits it - it's not going to last. Plus imagine how much it's going to be scuffed and snagged when people walk on it. It will look like crap in no time, and then come loose altogether not long after. Novel idea though.
When drilling tile you have to use a special drill bit(Carbide tip), go very slow, not a whole lot of pressure, use water to keep drill bit and tile cooled down so heat wont crack the tile.
Forgot to add you need a contractor to install or $300-$400 worth of tools and being handy to install! Great product, not practical for average household!
CRAP.Sand or dirt get into the flush piston on the floor and it would not come up anymore. One need to but a special bit to drill into the timber floor costing than gimmick stopper itself.

Everytime you trying to open the door quietly at night.... *BANG*

I was considering it, but you made a great point.

Yes. it will.
How good is it when your kids come rushing in slamming the door open I to the wall?
That's semi flush. Not flush.
Not for underfloor heating...
Does a vacuum suck out the pin
Love it, but that loud click is a problem on a bedroom or bathroom door when someone is trying to sleep in the same room
What I can't get my head round here is what releases it when you want to close the door?

Gotta drill a huge hole in your floor. Genius!
Right. Gottah pass on this. The average Joe couldn't instill this correctly
Just a Hole in the bottom of the door and a hole in the marble floor. It's that's easy. I like that
Don't know ! I don't wanna hole the floor.
Is the working also for a front door, which is kind of heavy? Thank you in advance for an answer.

Great idea, just make a silent one.
So you have to remove the door from its place to install it. Really, is this so simple?

where can I buy it, and do you ship it to Denmark?
It’s perfect for places where you can’t have a traditional door stop because it would be a trip hazard.

They come in different colours I see including a brushed chrome
Just got to worry about the noise now.
Sure wish I could use this, but I'm unable to remove the door for the drilling. Really sad, because I'm desperate for a solution.
There are 2 ways to take off the door, take all hinge bolts out of the hinges or remove screws hold hinges to either door or frame(Door jam).
can i buy in swe? or are you/thy planing on geting it to swe?
This is genius. Do you have these in the states yet?
Is it faster that a daughter who was just dumped by her boyfriend? Because that girl can slam a door pretty fast when seeking solitude.
They are slamming it shut, not open. No problem.
I definitely need this!!!!
mom be like, are you playing pool over there?
Sounds noisy. That would drive me nuts.
Sadly, my stone floors could be a challenge...
Installation is most difficult.. you have to remove the entire door just to fix Stopper. How unwise
cool but i dont have any doors

not great for ALL floors. Unless you tile around it, you'll break the tile when you drill the hole. Not easy for the single mom's out there.
There are easier solutions!!
What kind of solution?
Why are you categorically disparaging the DIY abilities of single moms?

Exactly!
Only for Wooden door. Absolutely not for INDIA

Not even comparable...pleez...
why not ?.Do you still have mud floor in india ?

A mains drill is £30
