What about a camera in the locked owners private storage area. I understand disclosing the outdoor ring camera but I'm unsure if we need to mention a camera in a locked storage area that guests do not have access to unless they break in
You can certainly try it, but I wouldn’t mess with it. The damage of them “breaking in” would probably be proof enough. I’ve been doing this over 13 years and have never had someone break into the housekeeping closet. I’d save the costs on that camera and invest it elsewhere.

Do you think I need to pay for video storage? I'm getting cameras at my entrances to be on the lookout for squatters in the 9 months of off season that my house is closed up. I think I just want to be notified in those months if a squatter happens to break into my house
That is a personal decision, I think! Our cameras have one month of history -I'd think that would be enough storage since you'll be alerted right away if someone breaks in and then you could review previous 30 days to see if this person was scouting out your property beforehand, etc.
No need to guess & hope you're right, here is exactly what you need to put in your Airbnb listing about cameras: thanksforvisiting.com/airbnbcameras

interior cameras are allowed if its not guests private space or part of the airbnb listing
It's important to make sure you're using the correct verbiage in your listing for all cameras!
