Don't know why but this made me think of a poem "There is peace, there is her. There is strength, there is her. There is chaos, there is her. These are my everything, that is her. There was just me, without her. I was lost, until her. In her, I found me. Only she can complete me, with her love I can finally be." The performance top notch; the laughing, don't why but it was enchanting. Another wonderful piece; hope all is well. Take care🌺
Leaving this for now, because my brain is half asleep but I'll be back when I can give this the energy and care it deserves. ☺️💕💕 (I'm going to have to go to the dentist now though, because this was entirely too sweet)
@@behold-the-beauty You always find such a good balance of banter, sass, wholesomeness and care in these. The whole dynamic in this feels so comfortable and relaxing. It just flows so naturally, and you can just tell how comfortable and at ease they feel around each other. It's such a heartwarming thing. Not to mention, such a special thing when you find that connection with someone. I know this is old news by now, but I adore the heck out of your tomboy character. She’s genuinely so much fun and I just love how grounded and comfortable she seems to be in herself and who she is. I also just love her honesty, banter and playful side so much, but it’s always such a treat whenever her softer side is brought to the surface. This may have had a rough start but ended on such a wholesome note. Playing ‘never have I ever’ with gummy bears was adorable. Truly a ‘work with what you’ve got moment’ that honestly fitted the whole vibe of the story so well. That little moment of giving her his hoodie (it was never mentioned but it’s a hoodie in my heart) was just the cutest. It’s little things like that that just makes me go mush, man. And getting those throwbacks to stuff they’ve done together is always so much fun and helps layer their friendship (if that makes sense?). The story about her saying ‘I love you’ to her boss was so funny but also felt for her because those moments are never fun. I once said ‘thanks for dinner’, instead of ‘thank you’ like I meant to, when a cashier handed me my receipt. Even now, I’m still a little mortified thinking about it but you also gotta find ways to laugh at those things. Speaking of laughing, all the laughs in this really adds to the wholesomeness. And the little raspberry, that was cute. I also LOVE that she calls him out and makes him eat, it’s like “dude, don’t even try!”. It’s just one of the things that made me laugh. I don’t know why, but it made me laugh. The “downside” to someone knowing you too well I guess, you can't get away with anything. 🤣 Another thing I really loved was how she picked up on his mood change because that’s a way to tell someone truly cares. When they can notice that you’re a bit off, although this felt like an easy one to spot, but I’d like to think she picks up on the more subtle ones as well. And just that shift of tone is so beautifully done, like ‘okay, we’re getting serious now’. One that stood out was the “and I missed it”, because you can hear that bit of sadness (or disappointment maybe?) in her voice that she didn’t pick up on it. You also balanced in the nervousness and scariness of confessing your feelings for someone so well in this. You could really feel the awkward tension as well. But once they get past the worst of it, it just turned into the cutest thing. And that little ‘never have I ever’ and laugh at the end. My heart. I genuinely had the biggest smile on my face and the warmest of fuzzies inside listening to this. I adore the wholesomeness so heckin’ much. I'm pretty sure the only thing sweeter than the gummy bears were these two. Also the soundscape in this is so good as well. It adds so much to the atmosphere/environment and truly gives the audio that extra bit of ‘oompf’. Rain always makes me sleepy though, so I almost mellowed out a little too much while listening to this. 😅 (Disclaimer: No headphones were hurt in the process of listening to this). Thank you for this sweet treat of a story, B! (Yeah, yeah, I’ll stop with the corny and see myself out).
I'm listing to this as practise for my English Cambridge Certificate test tomorrow, not any other reason, yes yes
