Oooooh! Wooohooo!!! The buzz that I got at goodwill for 2 dollars is the original cloud pattern buzz lightyear! I inspected it closely! Mine the head sculpt for 1st edition cloud buzz looks more alike! And mine has Rozier cheeks!

I believe, the wave 1.0 is most accurate to Andy’s buzz. The wrist communicator also never made a noise in the movie 🫣🙈

Great review. I can see the difference now that you pointed it out. I like the first buzz as he’s less peachy in colour. As you know I’ve ordered one from eBay and it’s on its way. I’m curious to see which one I have. Hope it’s the first but love them both!

One other difference I know is that the first cloud buzz makes flying noises when the wings pop out whereas the second one makes the iconic noise

So, I received cloud 2nd Buzz yesterday, I compared 2nd cloud buzz with Cloud circle logo buzz, but I like Cloud circle logo Buzz little bit more.

Interesting as back in 95 I bought a buzz lightyear and it was first one sold in uk 🇬🇧 I think…. But it had a square box which I think I still have…. I was told that the first release had problems with the plastic… and many of them had a foot broken off…. So I selected mine from the ones in the shop… actually years later the wings failed and the springs in the thighs burst through the plastic… both of these issues since fixed and working again….. its head never turned and no sound effects to the visor and there was no wrist control panel either…. 😊but what a fabulous figure!

@@todayigrewup yes I remember being really miffed that the lady In Woolworths at the time said dont buy it as lot of issues with first uk release of buzz and although no feet broke something else did and i exchange it for another …. Only years later to have issues

I don't have cloud wave 2 buzz yet, and so I want one, but it seems pretty rare as well.
Yeah cloud pattern in general is the most valuable at the moment and most rare to find for a good price.
Purchased myself Wave 1 as well arrives Wednesday, although in Spanish don’t mind since it’s voiced by José Luis Orozco the voice of Buzz.

i got Cloud Pattern Wave one buzz from Facebook not too long ago for 30 bucks and when I open the rist communicator it makes noises but there's something else I noticed on my buzz one of his foot is lighter than the other

Hey partner, so today I got cloud circle logo Buzz lightyear, the honest differences between other collection buzz lightyear is his eyebrow is thicker and darker then other buzz, and his head is bigger then other collection buzz (cloud wave 2, white, signature)
My cloud true wave 1 buzz should sound flying noises when I push red circle button, but not working. Do I have to replace new batteries?
Hmm try new batteries but sometimes these old toys stop working for some reason so it may just be a factory defect also.

Very cool video! I am just asking, how did you get so many cloud logos? I really want one so badly, but all I find on eBay costs atleast 200 dollars, but you were lucky a few times and got a few cheap ones. How did you do? Do you have any tips? Thank you!
I’ve been collecting for 13 years. My first cloud buzz I got in 2009 for $59.99. Then later on over the years I got lucky on eBay and scored one for $60 and then years later I saved up my money and a good friend of mine sold this current buzz to me for a super great price. Sometimes it’s just searching for deals everyday until you get lucky. You have to work hard to find the deals even if it takes years to achieve!

I tried it in play and demo.. still no luck I even tried new batteries
@@todayigrewup so I tried the demo and on and what I found is demo doesn't recognize it at all, on doesn't recognize it opening (at most his head turns slightly) but it does recognize it closing. Which is weird I remember not only I remember it doing the sounds but he had specific voices phrases that would play when you did that. Then again mine is 10+ years old (I got it all the way back in 2009, him and woody are my first collection entries, so maybe it's just his age showing. I also have a woody from the same time if you want me to check anything on him

Hey I just got the second release cloud pattern buzz light year for 75! It was brand but once I opened it and I noticed that it has an interesting weird smell. How do you recommend cleaning it btw? Is that normal?
Hmm I don’t know. I think use half water and half vinegar in a cup.. use a rag and polish it.. should help remove and clean the smell off.. then air it out for a day or 2

They are both very good and movie accurate but it does not have glow in the dark
It does glow in the dark (it even says so on that box) you just have to charge it under a bright light for a while. It’s not super bright but it does glow in the dark!!

The Disney store ones do not glow in the dark.. the ones in this video are different they are from the “toy story collection” toy line launched in 2009, made by thinkway toys and you can’t buy them because the company stopped making these and stores don’t sell them anymore only eBay.

Yes, Buzz lightyear cloud wave pattern is the first ever Thinkway collection buzz lightyear, and then wave cloud pattern 2, white logo, and lastly Signature collection with Yellow logo, cloud wave pattern Buzz has light skin tone, and looks more accurate on movies. And even though, cloud wave pattern Buzz lightyear has little bit more function than Signature and white logo Buzz lightyears.

Thanks. I’ve been collecting toy story for 13 years. Over time they are harder to find. I have been lucky and made friends who sold me a Buzz for a great price as a friend deal. Other Buzz I have I bought many years ago when they use to sell them in the store in 2009.

I think the materials cost too much for real denim jeans so they had to redesign it and change it. that is just my theory though I really do not know.. Another theory is maybe it was already preplanned for wave 1 and 2 and then settle to a new logo for wave 3?

Wave one cloud logo Buzz has a third ratchet joint in the legs, which version two does not, and wave one has an additional sound chip embedded into his left arm joint for his wing sound effect s also when you fold away the left wing he makes the wing sound effect, somewhat different from the version two buz the face Sculpts are a little different Buzz version one has a darker chin hair curl and eyebrow they are a lighter colorvon version tw o cheers!
Yeah good find! I have these buzz too, cloud logo with yellow circle introduction logo has flying effects, because he has additional sound chip, but 2nd cloud does not.

Signature is not the same as Cloud. I just recently got a Cloud version and he looks way different compared to my Signature. I have one more Buzz coming from Australia. Which is also a Cloud version.

I think the first wave is more accurate to Toy Story 1 and the second wave is more accurate to Toy Story 2

The communicator work’s different on the first cloud buzz. When I open mine up it makes a sound then buzz says “yes I need to rendezvous with star command” then you close it and it makes a digital sound. His head also moves.

@@todayigrewup That's good! If communicator still doesn't work, you can replace new batteries, because old batteries since 2009 are useless, and features on buzz, won't work properly.

Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a year or so they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011 (for Toy Story 3 movie promotion) and then in 2019 (for Toy Story 4 movie promotion), outside that time it’s hard to find, only eBay. So they only sell them for fast profit during movie promotional times. I really think it’s just a business strategy to cash out after the hype of a movie release.
