My dad used to work at my town’s public library when I was a young girl, and he would let me come with him to spend several hours walking among the books while he worked. We would eat dinner together in the little cozy break room. Some of my fondest memories with him!! Thank you for sparking those memories, I have to reminisce with him later!
I keep imagining Mary talking to friends in a restaurant with this voice and suddenly they start falling face down on the table because of the relaxation that her voice gives hahaha
This is, by far, my favorite video you've ever done! I hope one day you go back to the library basement for another walkthrough and tour it just like you did in this video. The tapping, the soft speaking, the tracing on the laminate, touching the tags. It's perfection
I absolutely love the idea of your library doing this. Not only does it keep people's interest by putting in new books they can be interested after so long, but I know lots of people in my city would love to buy the books for only a dollar. I wish all libraries did this
The original video you did of this a few years ago is hands down my favorite video of yours! Everything about it. The volume of your voice, hand moments, crinkles. Just perfection. Thank you thank you thank you for doing another one 💕
I love your library videos. The crinkly sounds of books are wonderful. I still use all your library videos as standbys for ultimate relaxation. You always treat the books gently and with slow hand gestures. Thanks, as always!!
Gorgeous video. All those great books, only a dollar each - I want them all! If I ever found such a bargain basement I’ll need a bigger house. Scotland is a magical country, best to come in the Summer. The Edinburgh festival is on for all of August and is the largest arts festival in the world. The Western isles shouldn’t be missed. History, castles, rain, midges, distilleries, haggis, heather, mountains, deer, highland games, pipe bands, kilts, tartan, more castles, more rain and more midges - you’ll love it!
im not sure if you've done this before but id love a library book/ book store organization video !! even if its not at a real library or book store, organizing books by alphabetical, the library number or even size would be so satisfying!! especially with the crinkles ! i used to TA for the librarian in college and reshelving books and looking for all the numbers was so fun, like a scavenger hunt !!
You're one of the best naturally soft-spoken postings I've ever seen and you're so inquisitive that you actually enjoy what you are recording. Keep up the great work much like your other two Dollar Tree store aisle videos!
You’ll love Scotland! I moved there this August to get my master’s degree. It’s pretty cold and gray in the fall and winter but it’s so lovely in the summer. My tip is to not plan too much and allow yourself time to take detours and explore the small towns! My favorite small town is Birnam & Dunkeld (two towns but very small and right next to each other so it feels like one town).
I love your library videos so much!! 💗💗 you are so good at them! I imagine you could probably just walk into any library and walk behind the desk and nobody would notice because how convincing they are
I didn’t think you’d make a video that topped your first library walk through for me. That one has been my favorite for awhile. But this one definitely tops it. Thank you!!
Oh my gosh, I love that you did another library walk-through, Mary! Iirc a library walk-through was one of the earliest vids I watched when I first discovered your channel a few years back and I was hooked! This was a nice bit of nostalgia.
If you are going to the north of Scotland The North 500 route is a popular drive. Loads of places to stop and take photos on the way round. The Isle of Skye is a beautiful place to stay. Loads of History & Folklore in the Highlands and Islands xx
I'm from Scotland. I'm so useless at giving advice about it though. Great idea, I wish I could come too. Really hope you do a couple of videos from there x
One of my favorite videos you’ve done! I can almost smell the pages! I love books and everything about them. The crinkles are wonderful. I’m going to add this to my Mary playlist. Thank you Mary. 🙏
Mary u make me want to leave NYC and move down to NC. All the little shops you show us and stuff like this is wonderful. Our libraries should try this approach. I really Enjoy watching your adventures.
Hello from Scotland! I hope your trip here isn't delayed too much by current circumstances. Your library role plays are one of my favourite "go to" video's. The crinkle of old library books takes me back to childhood when I first experienced ASMR (before I knew what it was). There are so many castle's here to see, as you will probably already know. There's Stirling Castle and Edinburgh Castle (if you are in Edinburgh I would also recommend a visit to the haunted "Mary King's Close" which is a preserved underground 17th century street). Dunrobin Castle in the Highlands looks straight out of a fairytale and Kelburn Castle near Largs is a quirky one with beautiful surroundings. There are honestly so many to choose from I'm struggling to pick them out myself. I'm sure if and when you get to visit you will not be short on beautiful places to see. I would also recommend a good waterproof. Regardless of the month, it will probably rain at some point...
I live about two hours away from Scotland. The only advice I have is make sure you wrap up warm- it’s usually freezing. Especially towards the beginning or end of the year! Lots of love. X
I'd love to see another non-pov bookshelf video with book orginization or an idea to expand upon your library roleplay videos by utilizing a book shelf.
Scotland is beautiful. I have family there. Dunoon is my favourite place in Scotland. Beautiful mountains and rivers as for castles ull love blackness castle and doune castle I visited them after watching my favourite series Outlander 😍 unforgettable experience
Been reading the comments on here and had an idea, can you organise books at the library instead of organising shelves at the store? I love those videos but this is sooo tingly and absolutely no overhead music or loud people, ive watched this 6 times already 😍. Thank you Mary
We went to the Scottish Highlands last summer, absolutely amazing, but long distances to drive, and we underestimated the time it would take everywhere we went
Hi Mary, I've just made an account and subscribed to your new mind account. I'm loving all your older content, particularly the jewellery hauls as I've probably watched your newer hauls 3x over 😁 can't wait to see what else you upload in the near future 😊
I love this style of video where you just show us what is interesting to you or your daily life/show and tells. Wondering if you could do another outdoor video in your backyard when spring arrives? Those are my favorite! ❤️
I love your library videos! I see some good books! I love Harlan Coben! I'm going to have to take a trip to Greensboro to the library! Please keep doing these videos and the dollar tree/general ones they are very relaxing.
Two of my favorite things, books and ASMR. Thank you! If you're going to Scotland, you have to read Outlander first! And there's a TV series now that is excellent!
When you're going to Scotland and if your kids love Harry Potter you should definitely consider doing the traintrip over Glennfinnan viaduct. I don't think you can get there by car but it's also nice to not have to drive every day.
Drive to Fort William and get the train day trip from there to Mallaig. It’ll take you over the viaduct and give you some time in Mallaig for a lunch before the steam train takes you back down to Fort William. 😊
The Scotland North Coast 500 takes you around the Highlands and to all the Lochs and castles !! Said to be the Scottish equivalent of Route 66 in America. Would love to see you if you ever do come to Scotland ! x x
Some things about Scotland: be prepared for crazy drivers!!! As an American from a small town, I was stunned by how quickly everyone drove over there. Also, the roads tend to be very very narrow when you’re in town. Plan to rent a small car for sure!! One more thing: be prepared to see some of the most beautiful landscapes you’ve ever seen. It’s truly breathtaking over there. Enjoy!! :)
Dragon asmr same! My library has a very small selection of ones you can buy, and will occasionally have a bigger book sale, but no where near this much
Why can't that library be in TN?!? I have been looking for a couple of those Patricia Cornwell books forever!!! If you happened to buy any that you would like to sell after using them there are a few I would gladly buy!!!
My dad used to work at my town’s public library when I was a young girl, and he would let me come with him to spend several hours walking among the books while he worked. Such a relaxing video, I could have watched 4 hours of this. Books and asmr are 2 of my favourite things. Thank you 💗
Agreed! I love her discarded library book walk-through as well... very relaxing:)
omg a place you can guarantee no music overhead!!
Loved this! Reminded me of doing homework in the library at school n getting asmr from the quiet, paper sounds and whispers
I absolutely love the idea of your library doing this.
Not only does it keep people's interest by putting in new books they can be interested after so long, but I know lots of people in my city would love to buy the books for only a dollar. I wish all libraries did this

Yes I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds the crinkly covers on books oddly satisfying whenever I go to the library!
I love your library videos. The crinkly sounds of books are wonderful. I still use all your library videos as standbys for ultimate relaxation. You always treat the books gently and with slow hand gestures. Thanks, as always!!

It's so nice when her videos aren't interrupted by other people. This was so relaxing. I really enjoyed this!!!!
Library books, soft spoken, w crinkles!!!! My favorite!!Made my night! 🙏🙏🙏
I loved it. Please more like this!!!

“As you can see...” *points at C*
I see what you did there. 🤓
Sam Soundly 🧡 you!!
You mean you C what she did there 🤓
Also 3 “effin” shelves😆
Book crinkles cause the best tingles! ❤️
I love how you take us places with you and still make it relaxing. Can’t go wrong with a nice quiet library trip!
You’ll love Scotland! I moved there this August to get my master’s degree. It’s pretty cold and gray in the fall and winter but it’s so lovely in the summer. My goodness, I can watch this for hours. It's so relaxing . Her whispered ramblings calms the savage in me.
So soft and gentle. Very relaxing! Thank you as always
Oh my gosh, I love that you did another library walk-through, Mary! Iirc a library walk-through was one of the earliest vids I watched when I first discovered your channel a few years back and I was hooked! This was a nice bit of nostalgia.
Thank you for this video the dust jackets , library videos calm me the most. Happy New Year.
Lordy lord. I remember the last time you went here. I LOVED that video so I'm really looking forward to this one too. ❤️❤️
Yes, it's been quite a while I think since Mary did one of these library walk-throughs but I love it (like all of her videos).
The cover crinkles are the best.
If you are going to the north of Scotland The North 500 route is a popular drive. Loads of places to stop and take photos on the way round. The Isle of Skye is a beautiful place to stay. Loads of History & Folklore in the Highlands and Islands xx
Nobody understands the amazing audio quality of interacting with books...quite like you Mary... 10 out of 10 - again.
6:34 am, an all nighter! Can't wait to fall asleep to this zzzzzz
I loved Scotland! The Isle of Skye is beautiful & mystical.
i can’t be the only one that thought of the show “YOU” when i saw it was a library basement. 😳
Wonderful. One of the most relaxing videos ever. Love it. Thank you.
I'm in love with your outfit today, just like every other day 😄💞 Keep up the fantastic work Mary!
I just love that you have let your left pinkie nail to grow. It looks so beautiful.
The Count of Monte Cristo is an amazing book! I love that classic!
I love this spot! always look forward to you returning here :)
Mary u make me want to leave NYC and move down to NC. All the little shops you show us and stuff like this is wonderful. Our libraries should try this approach. I really Enjoy watching your adventures.
You and your family are always welcome in Scotland :) wee Mary let loose in the hills!
Libraries are some of my favourite places to visit. Thanks so much for showing us around, Mary!
Hello from Scotland!

Mary, if you see any floating books or ectoplasm down there, turn around and go back the way you came
I live about two hours away from Scotland. The only advice I have is make sure you wrap up warm- it’s usually freezing. Especially towards the beginning or end of the year! Lots of love. X

More of these, this is amazing.

This video has everything I love in an ASMR video
Omg I've been thinking about you all week ma'am. Good to see you doing well. I personally love the library. It's a place of relaxation for me.
Ask them when they're weeding their stacks next, circulating books usually have the dust covers.
If it isn’t too much trouble please go back to that library again! So quiet and the best asmr vibes 🙂
Keep coming back to this because omg.. tingles city
My god.
Lovely video. I just adore your hand movements
You look very pretty Mary you have. A huge library of books awesome you're the best Mary 😊💕
We went to the Scottish Highlands last summer, absolutely amazing, but long distances to drive, and we underestimated the time it would take everywhere we went
The Scarlet book is good, I recommend it.
It’s a long book but I have read it. 😊
Hi Mary, I've just made an account and subscribed to your new mind account. I'm loving all your older content, particularly the jewellery hauls as I've probably watched your newer hauls 3x over 😁 can't wait to see what else you upload in the near future 😊

Oh and I am VERY invested in you going to Scotland! Those castle videos will be amazing! 😂
I love your library videos! I see some good books! I love Harlan Coben! I'm going to have to take a trip to Greensboro to the library! Please keep doing these videos and the dollar tree/general ones they are very relaxing.
This is heaven !!
My brain melts every time I watch this video, especially when you say the word “alphabetized” 🤩 tingles everywhere!!!!
I love your library basement videos ❤
One of my favorite video!
Pleasssse do another barns and nobles video...I love those
Perfect. Thank you Mary. Have a great New Year!
Love your videos :) Thank you so much for taking the time.
Great video for a minute I thought the cat was real on the wall
Two of my favorite things, books and ASMR. Thank you! If you're going to Scotland, you have to read Outlander first! And there's a TV series now that is excellent!
This is one of my favorite videos! Hopefully you can visit again soon!
Please share more info about the Minds app! I looked and found one, but didn’t find you yet.
1:02 i looked this one up- sounds like a decent read
When you're going to Scotland and if your kids love Harry Potter you should definitely consider doing the traintrip over Glennfinnan viaduct. I don't think you can get there by car but it's also nice to not have to drive every day.

Love love love!! Love all of your videos Mary but crinkles & finger tracing 😴😴😴 Happy New Year xxx
there are a lot of castles that have relatively cheap tours though the insides of them go on as many as possible
I love this so muchhh please more of these
The Scotland North Coast 500 takes you around the Highlands and to all the Lochs and castles !! Said to be the Scottish equivalent of Route 66 in America. Would love to see you if you ever do come to Scotland ! x x
Edinburgh is beautiful. Try the tour that shows the old city that Edinburgh is built upon.
“The two sections I avoid like the plague” hahaha so true when it comes to social platforms 😂
I would lose my mind if I was at a book sale like that
look for the little white library tag, that's how you can tell if it has the crinkles
ASMR and books? Oh it is definitely nap time 😴
Please do more like this!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this video 😍💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
love this video Mary! also love this color on you, you look fantastic! 🥰
Oh Mary, that is definitely your color!
Some things about Scotland: be prepared for crazy drivers!!! As an American from a small town, I was stunned by how quickly everyone drove over there. I love hanging out in basements.
Gilbert Grape's dad did, too.
This is so nice😴 I wish my library sold books too!
Dragon asmr same! My library has a very small selection of ones you can buy, and will occasionally have a bigger book sale, but no where near this much
Yeah mine has a small annual book sale but that’s pretty much it lol
Haha literally laughed out loud at the Jacob Marley reference 😂
Does anyone else think Mary looks like Lisa Kudrow? Both two beautiful ladies ❣️
Oh no did you ever get to go to Scotland this summer?? 😬
so relaxing
the quality of this video is great. did you film it with your phone?
Why can't that library be in TN?!? I have been looking for a couple of those Patricia Cornwell books forever!!! If you happened to buy any that you would like to sell after using them there are a few I would gladly buy!!!
Wishing you a happy new year 🥳
Was that supposed to be Campbell’s covered bridge? On the piedmont of N.C. book?
