"I'll never have a bad day again, it's impossible, there's that gift." Crazy quote and his story is fuel for everyone to live for the day.
Agreed. So incredible and impressive. His will to not just survive but to thrive despite everything is inspiring to say the least!
That quote made me cry. I struggle with the loss of my 20 year old grandson by an intentional overdose of his antidepressant. Trying to make each day better than the one before.
That’s how I’ve felt since my son died. I know what real problems are, and I’ll likely never have a worse week for the rest of my life.
@@Covette01 we spent a week watching our grandson’s body shut down as another organ failed. I’m gonna try really hard to remember Jeremy’s words and remind myself that no matter what happens nothing will be as bad as the day the decision was made to stop life support. Thanks for your words.
His recovery really is impressive; definitely has my respect. I've wondered if he has met Gloria Estefan as she is the other celebrity who was supposed to have been killed by a horrible accident but kicked adversity's ass & got right back on their feet. Seems like a natural kinship.
Turns out HE IS the strongest Avenger 🥲
❤absolutely 💯
Not really yet just outlived chekov by being lucky

Who would've thhoght...
And he has a bow and arrow. Nothing makes sense
The fact that this dude lived through something so horrific and came away a more positive human is an incredible thing.
All of us should take the example.
An inescapable experience of sheer horror, if survived, can have an extremely profound transformative effect on a human being.
The book “Stumbling On Happiness” calls it post traumatic growth. It’s common I guess. Awesome!
@@Tropdop …can be, if I don’t relinquish or quit.
Seems like a super neat guy
The man didn't just portray a superhero on the screen, he IS a superhero!
So glad you're still with us, Jeremy! 💜
Surviving a horrific accident is the new definition of a superhero? "A benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers"
I can be your hero baby
@@Kanoog the accident happened as a result of him trying to save his nephew from getting hurt by the snowplow, so I think it was pretty heroic.
@@faithi717you get it!
@@Kanoogyou know I meant that more as a colloquialism, & not strict definition of the word, right?
Benevolent, however? Yeah. I'd say so. In an attempt to help others after a gnarly snowfall, he's helping clear out what he can. During part of those efforts, the rig started to slide, nearly pinning his nephew between the rig & a truck that they were in the process of towing out. He was attempting to save his nephew from what could have resulted in a death. And, in doing so, he damn near sacrificed his own life. So, I'd wager there was a benevolent act or two, yeah.
Seeing Jeremy Renner happy and much more healthy after his accident, I appreciate him sharing his journey with us on his recovery

I sure hope his chest and lung injuries don't prevent him from singing, because before that accident, he was totally awesome, for those that don't know.
Speaking of which, as annoying as Jimmy 'fake laugh' Fallon is most of the time, he too is a surprisingly good singer, ngl - credit where credit's due.
To be clear, those horrific injuries could have easily ended Jeremy Renner’s life. The fact he is alive and kicking is beyond belief. Thanks to the doctors, nurses, physios, his family, friends and Jeremy keeping focused on his recovery! God bless you Jeremy!
Cuz he has money 😓 a normal person like us wouldn't have gotten that same treatment
@@visisydandthevoidthat’s a separate story. Sorry for you though.
@@visisydandthevoid Normal person would have had the exact same treatment, they'd just be in debt.
@@visisydandthevoidThey'd still get identical treatment or nearly identical, they'd just be a several thousand dollars in debt.

I can hear the PTSD in his voice. I didn't think it was possible to have more respect for Jeremy. I was wrong.
You have no idea how PTSD works. You don't "hear" it in peoples voices.
What you're hearing is an actor that has never been able to speak clearly. He's always sounded like a he's mumbling, and has nothing to do with his accident.
Speaking as a 100% disabled Veteran from combat. With "PTSD". A term that everyone uses these days, like Stolen Valor.
USMC 1999-2007
@@JarheadCrayonEater You don't have to be in the military to get PTSD. You can get it from near death experiences. Seeing your eyeball outside of your skull would be pretty traumatic.
I'm sorry you've been through a lot, but it doesn't give you the right to minimise other people's suffering.
Most of the bad days in Jeremy’s life ahead wouldn’t beat what he went through on that day. Glad to see him back.
Damn, only most of them? I guess he was wrong about never having another bad day then
@@Talisman09I suppose there’s the inevitable death day? But love your comment regardless.
He will almost surely outlive his Mother and other older relatives (Dad?). Those will be extraordinarily difficult, painful days and weeks also. He went through hell, but there are levels of hell, and we never know what life might throw at us in the future. It is a beautuful statement that he made, and he has a great attitude, but the traumas and trials of life never quit coming. Sad, but true! Much respect for him and his example of strength and resiliance, along with a beautiful attitude and his newfound hope in humanity based on the outpouring of love he received. God bless him and all of those that supported him, friends and strangers.❤🙏
Hats off 👏🏾 to the first responders, doctors and nurses that hepled to put him back together. He looks great! Can't even tell that he almost died. Thank you Jeremy Renner for being so strong and not giving up, you are a true inspiration and great actor!!!
Commented the same thing. Kind of surprised he didn't mention them. But they did an amazing job. He looks great. Glad he had great doctors and medical professionals that got him through this.
Get back to work. Mayor of Kingstown needs to return ASAP 😂
Big ups to him…I know that was/is a challenging fight. 💪🏾
"45 min on the Ice" sounds like a great title for a book that I'm sure would inspire so many people. Just this clip is overwhelming with emotion and inspirational... God bless 🙏🏻
Jeremy Renner. True life superhero! Proud to say, my work family (CareFlight/Remsa) was on site to help him keep breathing, and air lift him to the trauma center, but really, it all came down to Jeremy STRONG. Bless you to all his friends and family, my colleagues and the medical professionals that made him whole again. He’s a treasure.
That's a huge call. And thankyou.
Thank you so much to ur family. Without yall, one of my favorite actors would have been gone and honestly marvel has been like kinda a comfort for me in my life and idk what I would do without Jeremy being gone. So thank you so much 🙏
Wow, so glad to see Jeremy Renner doing so well after his accident. Amazing the positivity he has after such a trauma and his outlook on life.
I remember that he said, in a different interview, that his positive mental state was a daily conscious choice. He says he was NOT interested in letting this event define his life.
Bro is several superheroes. Machine tried to run over his nephew, he jumped on it without fear like Daredevil, saved his nephew, got injured but healed super fast like Wolverine, and now he's Iron Man cuz he made of metal. This is the strongest Avenger right there.
Jeremy Renner is my Hero, & inspiration!! The exact same day he almost lost his life, so did I. Of course our situations were different. Anyway, I’m Thankful We’re both still here!! He inspires me NOT to give up, even on the hard days!! WE GOT THIS!! We’re both, Beautiful, Brave, & Strong WARRIORS!! 💜💜
Glad you're still around.

Good luck with your battles❤
Mr. Fallon, never underestimate your own genuine super power in lifting people up--look at the joyful redness in Jeremy's face after your high-charge praise for his clip. So well deserved, and so obvious that he was deeply appreciative. This is why you are beloved, not only for the uproar of laughter that you bring daily, but for your natural gift of tuning into and turning up the heart of humanity.
100% agreed!
What she said!
Jeremy is so humble, inspirational, and so incredibly strong in so many ways. Winter soldier indeed.
Thank you
This man was a genuine Humble Joe before the accident. He survived something that would have killed probably 999 out of a 1000 people. And he comes back, fully recovered, even more humble than before. Screw bankable, this man is a gem of a human being.
He is officially the winter soldier. This is my most liked comment. Please get to 1 million.😁😁😁 Also, all can dream big. No hate here. Karma is fun to watch.
Well...with all that metal in him, I'd say more like Iron Man 🤔
@@kitxxxxkit Maybe Wolverine?

The crazy part is that he is completely underselling just how serious it was. Google a photo of what the machine looks like and then imagine it basically running over him. He is SOOOO fucking lucky to be alive. Testament to his own strength and perseverance!
I know what you mean 😳
This is why I love this guy. Taking a horrible accident and making the best of it. Just a great guy that I take tips on life about. Just an awesome person.
Jeremy, you, sir, are an inspiration. And right now, we all need inspiration. Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon, your loving support - and enthusiasm after that preview - for your friend deeply touched my heart. You’re a good man and true friend❣️
I know that life will never be the same for Jeremy on any spectrum of the scale. He was under no obligation nor any expectation to inspire us. He just couldn't help but do it. That's who he is and why we love him.
Hearing Jeremy's optimism after such an incredibly harrowing experience is a balm for all our wounds. He's back, and he's determined. Love this.
Jeremy is 100% a Warrior &
Very Blessed. ❤
Good to see him back in form .. hats off man
Honestly the way he talks about the experience is amazing.
I deal with health anxiety (hypochondriac) and on most days you mentally and physically feel like you're dying but after hearing his story it really makes me want to try my best to recover from this. Of course I'm not comparing what he went through to what I'm currently going through because those two things are COMPLETELY different. But this really inspired me to try my best to do better for myself especially the part when he says "put one foot in front of the other". Just those words alone are highly inspirational and a fire just instantly lit inside of my body.
It's great that it inspires you but I feel it's all so unnecessary. Anyone could've told you those words long ago, it's quite a common mantra. You were always one fortune cookie away from improving yourself, is what I mean.
Sometimes you just need the right context. I’m really happy for you and wish you the best of luck!
sending love and praying for you!! ❤
Forget about what Bluey said, Jeremy obviously meant what he said when people have bad days, that means all of us. That means you too! You keep on being inspired, you keep on putting your feet forward and BREATHE. Just came to splash a little positivity all over the unnecessary reply from Bluey. Be well! Blessings 💗
@@blurgle9185 haha i'm pretty sure that he meant that those words were impactful to him when combined with Jeremy's story, as it shows how the mantra can be scaled from Jeremy literally coming back from the brink of death, to the struggles that we all face.
I dont think he meant "wow, those trite words on their own have changed my life"
Absolutely inspiring jeremy renner is a real life superhero so glad he has recovered ,and his healthy such a wonderful actor❤.
Happy to see Jeremy alive and doing well in life, I cant even imagine the experience he went through but im glad it had a happy ending
This is actually such a moving segment....what happened to Jeremy was just so devastating - even from the perspective of an anonymous film-watching fan - event. My first exposure to him as an actor was 'The Town', and I was taken by his performance. I thought 'this guy's excellent', but I didn't know how much was simply an actor being pretty much himself or a great actor doing great acting. The next milestone performance of his that I saw was 'Wind River', which confirmed for me that here we had a truly great actor with a range of humanity and empathy driving his acting instincts. When you encounter something like this - even from afar as nothing more than a fond admirer - and then you see that actor, that human being go through something like what he went through, it impacts you deeply. I'm moved deeply by this episode and segment. As, again, nothing more than an anonymous fan, I'm so so happy that Jeremy Renner is alive, healthy and back. We're all better with him in the world.
I am so happy for Jeremy! I remember when I first found out about the news of his horrific accident, I was so heartbroken and so sad. That day for me was very hard. Jeremy is someone who I look up to and someone who definitely inspires me. Not only is he my favorite superhero but he's my favorite actor. I am so happy that he's still here with us and that he's okay.
I was also feeling sad and heartbroken! He has so much inner strength, not to mention determination and physical strength. I have been wondering if he will get back to his music eventually. He is such a good singer as well as an incredible actor! All the best Jeremy!
What he said about it being so many other peoples’ story than his own is so true if you’ve been through something this serious. My parents were told to prepare for a funeral when I had my experience, and watching my family and friends go through thinking I would die was much worse than any pain I sustained
Wow..." just put one foot down... and put one foot down"... so profound and a great reminder
If only it was that easy. Amazing that Renner is still with us after such a event but when you have his money, one foot down is way easier than those that are struggling to make ends meet!
I remember the horrendous details of what happened to him and it's absolutely amazing he is humble and a walking miracle
He has God to thank. I pray he knows Who God is and what He says about eternity, when this life does come to its end.
Welcome back Jeremy. Absolutely incredible, so happy for you and your family.
We love jeremy renner
❤
I second that ❤❤
Just listening to him talk about what he went through and how he thinks now brought me to tears, such an inspiration
Thank you for having Jeremy Renner on your show. I have bee n thinking about him on & off since his accident, praying for him too, & wondering how he’s been doing w/ his recovery after his accident, etc. And it was wonderful to get to see him on your show & doing so well. What he said about never having another bad day in his life was such an inspiring statement for all of us, but especially those who are struggling with/ overwhelming & catastrophic circumstances.
Jimmy you are always such a ray of sunshine to me & I’m glad to find that you are a close friend to Mr. Renner. Take care & God bless!
He is SO right. I came within 1/2 an hour of dying & when you survive death you develop a new appreciation for small achievements & life becomes that much sweeter. You also have a profound understanding of really not sweating the small stuff because it just doesn't matter.
Unstoppable.
It's AMAZING he's walking and working. His words are powerful and helpful.
Great recovery jeremy is a real lucky guy to still be alive after that terrible accident. He is a real inspiration to us all. Wish you well glad your working again!
He’s a hero and a true person who is taking his experience to make the best positive impact out of a horrible situation
He is a true Avenger. Using his horrific experience as inspiration and a light to keep the darkness at bay. Hearing that goodness is still alive and well is what so many of us need to hear right now. God bless you sir, so happy to see you pulling through like you are!
God bless this guy, it's a miracle he's still with us. Looking forward to watching seeing his future films. 💪🏽
no god, no miracle. Doctors and fast acting relatives. God didn't bless him by running over him in the first place....why start now?
He’s extremely fortunate to have survived. Nothing will show you the beauty and love of life like a near death experience. He’s blessed to have survived.
I am so glad Jeremy is back God bless him 🙂🙏🤘👋👍😀

Couldn't be happier to see him back. Prayed for his recovery and was devastated by hearing what he endured. Saw the trailer for his new show earlier in the day. What a blessing that he's still with us in his right mind and in high spirits. That he can never have a bad day again, I mean, what a powerful outlook on life going forward. God blessed him truly, it's a remarkable recovery. I'd love to see him back in an Avengers film, even if he isn't doing much in it. I look forward to giving him a round of applause in the theater when that happens.
"progress is great fuel to keep progressing" Amen to that brother. Its good to see him back at it given what happened. Keep trucking on Jeremy.
I've always loved Jeremy as an actor. He's wonderful in everything he's in. What he went through was terrifying. It sounds like he's really become an even more amazing person because of this.
