      @ninja.widagun2145 definitely. I always make the scrap side with an X out of habit.

    It would have been nice to see a closeup of putting the rebar through the pole.

      Noted for future videos. Thanks for taking the time to leave valued feedback.
      For the rebar- One hole path on top of the other, forming an x. Spacing between the two pieces of rebar isn’t too critical.
      Take care.

    Great instructional video. Is the pole steel , what about eventual rusting? Thanks, can’t wait to make this with my boys

    • @HeDoes

      The pole I used is made of galvanized steel. It shouldn’t rust for a very long time.
      Thank you for the feedback and enjoy your project. Take care.

    Your 4 y/o tetherball pole in concrete and tire is just what I'm looking for! My Starlink (satellite internet dish) is Gen3 and has no pole connector anymore. I bought a 10 foot 1 1/4 inch conduit pole from Home Depot for $76.00 last week in December 2023. I have no idea how to install the satellite dish in the ground and hoped for a less permanent install. Tire and concrete and rebar and pole seems like a solution to keep dish from swaying in the wind. What drill bit did you use for hole? What size rebar? Please let me know if the tether pole you made moves at all when noone is playing? Blessings to you and your family. ♥ * If your tether pole works for my Starlink, I'll definitely share your setup/process with starlink/reddit people. Also, can you recommend a scrap of pole/process like you have to make my starlink pole about 3 feet higher to get past the roof? The dish needs to see clear sky.

      I hope this works out for you well.
      The tetherball pole stays put well in all weather conditions we’ve experienced.
      I used a 1/2 drill bit to drill the final holes for the 1/2 rebar. It’s a slightly snug fit but more or less a clearance hole allowing the rebar to slide into the pipe.

    What was the gauge on the pole ,hows it holding up?..Mine will be 8 to 10 ft.Thnk you for your help!

    • @HeDoes
      @HeDoes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 40 gauge galvanized electrical conduit. It’s been holding up well. No issues with the structure. Only wear and tear is on the rope and tether ball.

    If you have a ladder attach the pole firmly to the hinge
    then you will be able to move the ladder
    north south east or west
    until the pole is plum

    Is a concrete/tire tetherball set like this strong or sturdy enogh for rough adults players?

    • @HeDoes
      @HeDoes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, as long as the concrete is reinforced with rebar inside the tire. Also as long as the tire used is large enough. Any standard sedan or minivan tire should do the trick.

    what size and kind of pole is that?

    • @HeDoes
      @HeDoes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pole used here is 1 1/2inch-10 foot galvanized rigid conduit. You can find it at most hardware/ home improvement stores.

    what size tire?

    • @HeDoes
      @HeDoes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 225/65 R 17. Tire. You can use anything around that and it will work just fine. Pretty much any tire from a mid size sedan or a mini van will fit the specs.

      Haha. Yeah I guess that is pretty true. Or with a couple people, just lean it over and roll it on the tire portion. That’s how I move it around when needed.
