I'm finishing a coding bootcamp right now, and I love watching these videos with openness such as your "I've considered myself dumb my entire life". Gives me hope anytime I'm struggling to remember a particular syntax or definition. I loved this video.
nice video looking forward to seeing more. you should do a video going a little bit more in depth on what you are working on or what your meetings in the day to day are about
Love the video. I remember your anime tiktok content it was nice. You used to work at amazon right, what made you want to make the change. Also your tiktok content was hella nice.
aha thank you, an og fan right here 😁 as for the change, in general it was more of a team culture thing. my working style didn’t really mesh well with the teammates i had over there.
How did you strap your phone to your backpack as you mention? And which program do you use to edit the video, more specifically, is the subtitles somehow done in the software?
would be interesting to see what things you work on, since this is a big project & little scope for errors.. just wanna know what's it like to be working as a dev..
Please make a video on how many big projects you worked on and if someone is new to CS then ,what all programming languages and frameworks you regularly use and which skill is in demand in right now in your company. And what is range of salary packages 🤑.
I am also learning android dev but I feel stuck. I really have a lot of questions to ask like how much time did it took you to learn that, from where did you learn android dev, and did you learnt something else too to land the job at audible. Please help mate.😔
I don’t think there’s directly any benefits, but the mac tries to save battery when not plugged in since the battery life is really bad (it’s the older macbook pro). So by keeping it plugged it, it can work harder and not lose battery for when i take the laptop into meetings or other rooms, etc.
it's the logitech k380, but I have a wired mechanical keyboard at home, I just bring this one back and forth cause it's wireless. The keyboard works fine, although I wish I spent a few more bucks and bought the logitech mx keys mini instead lol.
Great video. Since you develop the Android app for Audible, could you squeeze in a playlist feature? I'd love to line up a book series and just keep listening instead of having to find the next book in the collection. Especially since many authors don't put numbers in the titles of the books in their story series. I've sent the suggestion in via the app a couple of times, but it still hasn't been added. The collection feature is nice though. Just need playlists now. :)
@@mattischulz8743 No, but maybe he can mention it to the people who do. It would be a very nice feature that should be relatively simple to implement since they already have the collection list system in place. I'm just trying to get this feature added any way I can :)
I've always wanted to be a software engineer. Is there a specific programming language I should learn or it depends on what your company is working on? And btw, I love your vid! Definitely sub for more relaxing videos.
i’m a Android Development learner and can you give me some advice about study Android dev, i’ve already study around 1 year😇. Your video is so productive i’m serious !
i will probably make a video about this one day but reality is, most people need to code a lot and for a couple years before you can start becoming good. it takes practice like any other skill
I might make a video on this but short story is I actually interviewed for Amazon and worked there for a bit and then internally transferred to Audible :)
hi, i’ve been thinking about taking software engineer course in my college, but would you recommend it? like is the work scope hard? would love to see you explain about your job more
Remember when choosing a degree: videos like this do not represent the work of a software engineer. Only a beautiful workspace, appartement and city. Many jobs can give you that lifestyle.
Comment down below some ideas for future videos!
What is this programming language?
nice man, your day is so chill

@Elixir thanks
This has to be one of the only day in the life's of SEs where I've seen more than like 2 hours of coding haha
Please continue this video series, especially "Day in the Life of a Software Engineer" (This is really good for motivation)
Great video! It's really nice to see inside other people's offices and their work styles.

Crazy, I actually work in that area too, right off the Kendall stop!

I'm currently a computer engineering major is it uncommon for Computer Engineers to land jobs as Software Engineers ? and If so how do i get there ?

You're filming on a GoPro mounted on your chest?
nope! I used my phone with a tripod strapped to my backpack :)
@@Sayhyuun oh cool! well thanks for the reply, and good video. I liked the music in the intro (good choice)!

Are those dell screens curved and ultrawide ?

Hey Sayhyun! Nice video! have you ever tried to do web development with any technologies?
i’ve done some web dev in the past. in particular, one internship and a couple side projects but that was couple years ago at this point.
@@Sayhyuun The reason I've asked is I'm a web developer with 9+ years of experience so just wanted to find out if you have any such experience
yo what are the programming languages that you code/know?
at this point, i’ve worked with quite a lot. during school i did primarily c++ and at my job right now i do kotlin + java.
