Individual tire adjusters are better than linked systems as linked systems become loose with age and don’t set level when they start to fall.

Good point. Some many reviewers want to make a big deal out of "omg, I gotta adjust four wheels, what a nightmare". Really? Not a big deal, I rarely adjust mine anyway. Just one more thing to go wrong. I think they're doing it to make the videos longer.
Agreed with others here, Toro puts individual adjusters on because they are more flexible for weird lawns, but they also last forever. Ego's top of the line commercial put individual adjusters on at least 2023 models, if not starting in 2024. Also, Ego in 2024 adopted the aluminum deck as opposed to composite. Hmmm...wonder why?
Those individual systems can bend and become rusted and difficult to adjust in time.Spray WD40 periodically on them to keep them rust free.
@@cahg3871 Totally agree. Ha ha. Just ran into that issue with my old Toro gas Super Recycler. A little spray oil did the trick. I got behind.
Also, to the point of the 'all four wheels adjustable with one lever'. My neighbor just showed me his set up and sure enough, it was loose everywhere and didn't cut level. He's pretty unhappy as the motor has time on it, but the cheap body does not and the repair is more than the mower's worth.
I enjoy everyday content. I'm fairly new to your channel and plan on watching more often.

The deck is aluminum per Toro's sell page. One of the the big selling points and one of the reasons I've been buying Toro for so long. Came over with Lawn Boy purchase. The decks last forever.
I’m surprised Toro doesn’t add two features to really take it to the competition: handle operated switching from mulching to rear discharge (like on the regular recycler), and a single height lever instead of one for each wheel. It would be game over then.

How is it bagging a lot of leaves? I've not found a battery mower that can come close to the vacuuming ability of my Honda.
I unfortunately dont have trees so I am not sure. It fills the bag with grass though (the black one). I could do a video demonstration of that?
Super recycler vacuums leaves like a champ.
At 6:00 did you drop it all the way down (1")? I ask because us warm season guys need it to be able to do real work at that height.
I reel mow my front and side and let it grow to above and inch and brought it back down with this machine. It handled it just fine. It has the power!

Which checkmate roller do you use? They don't have one specific for this toro model.
I used the one for the toro recycler and customized it a little

What blade did you use economy or performance
It was economy. The blade that was on it. It did come with a performance. I was going to switch it out next season.
@TheNeighborDominator I switched mine right away the went to HD and got another performance blade so I have 2 to keep switching them

how's the suction compared to your honda?
The red one sucks but the vortex is a beast. Same as the Honda. It can fill the bag all the way up which is impressive for a battery powered mower. Most are ass. The vortex is top notch

Gimme gas all the way I’m one not fooled by this hype battery tools the best even chain saws better for my usage weed whackers battery all the way but that’s it period
The toro vortex is legit. No matter what, the raw power of gas will always win. But for residential, not waking up my babies at 6:30am when I personally mow, and being able to mow, edge, weed whack and not smell like gas...that is why I use battery. If i had a big property, i would probably get a Luba AWD5000 robot mower by Mammotion 🤣
@@TheNeighborDominator I hear ya if that’s your desire at 6:30 have at it yes battery mowers are much quieter!
I refuse however to spend over 30k for a lawnmower that’s battery operated I will buy a car first
I do believe in time though that the price of these and the run times will all come down if allowed to. I just wonder how many people stop to realize the disposal cost of battery’s and unless you home is loaded with solar panels your still using fossil fuels to plug in those chargers!
Unfortunately I’ll probably be long gone by then so I’ll deal with a lil smell of gasoline

@@Trackhoe075 A buddy of mine has his own wind turbine and solar panels to generate electricity for his home for over the past thirty years. A few years ago he bought a Tesla and last year bought a Ford Electric Truck. What's nice he can set this whole thing up anywhere in the world and be self reliant ; No power or Oil companies to worry with ....
Not telling how the battery lasted during your mow hurt the video.

And will Stripe kit reduce battery run time significantly?
The SR has a 50 minute run time. Im sure it would give you close to that rating even with the striping kit. Bagging and side discharge draw less from the battery than mulching
@L L run time varies based on use. I just got the ego 21 inch with a 60min run time ( manufacturer listed). Actual time lasted 3 hrs.
@@wickintime2203 I just posted the manufacture’s specs. I mow high and regularly, so my run time far exceeds the 50 minutes. How do you like the Ego?
